In Comes The Devil

The Pathendra Hotel was in no way the number-one hotel in the country, rather it was popular for its club. Some said the Pathendra Hotel has the best strippers in the business, so it wasn't a surprise that the club was highly visited. Lisa felt wary, she had made sure to wear baggy clothes and a hat to make herself less attractive, she knew just how irritating Alphas could be especially when they saw something they wanted, they wouldn't stop at anything to get it.

Luckily for her most of the Alphas were either focused on their drinks or the naked women who were twisting and twirling on poles. Her stomach twisted painfully at the thought of occupying a position on that platform, God, she did not want to be a stripper. Lisa was hoping that there would be other job openings, perhaps a waiter or even a cleaner.

" Hello there, what can I get you?" the handsome bartender smiled at her cheerfully as she walked over to him. She figured the best way to get information was directly from an employee who wasn't so busy, it was either this or acting the strippers who were occupied at the moment.

"No I don't want anything, I'm here to meet the manager, Is it possible to talk to him?"

" Oh, I see "The man's expression brightened up at the realization. he cocked his head towards the naked women on the platform "You want to be one of those? "

"Hopefully a waiter "

" Yeah, good luck with that. The manager's in the back, go ahead "

" Thank you " The man nodded at her before turning away to serve a customer. Kira scurried off through the sea of sweaty men to the back of the club. She found a middle-aged man sitting in a lounge area with a naked girl on his lap. The girl had a disgusted expression on her face and it looked like she had been forced to sit in her position. Lisa held down her anxiousness and approached the man, he noticed her and spoke up even before she could explain her reason for coming.

"Are you in need of a job?" The man's eyes wandered across her body and he soon presented her with a bright Smile. This one was very beautiful, there was no doubt that the customers would enjoy her a lot. It was almost a common occurrence to have girls come to his club each day and request a job, so he wasn't so surprised by Lisa's presence. He was however pleased that she was very beautiful.

" Yes, how did you know that?" Lisa became unsettled at the thought that this man might have an association with West. Her Ex-Fiancee always had a way of knowing what exactly she was up to, it was unsettling.

" Every girl who comes here needs a job, you are not the first one sweetheart. " The manager taps the girl sitting on his lap signaling her to go, she scurries out of the room in haste. " it's your lucky day, we are short of entertainers, so I am willing to give you the job without an interview "

" I was hoping I could just be a waiter here "

" A waiter?" he laughed at her words like it was the most amusing thing he had ever heard. " Someone with such a stunning face as yourself wants to be a waiter here? dream on. We don't provide such a position, and even if we did you wouldn't be able to get away from the Clutches of those hungry alphas."

" Fine, I will work as a stripper "

" Close but no, we already have enough strippers "

" Then what do you mean by entertainers?"

" Some of our customers need relief after a tough day so we provide them such services. You will be among the girls who provide relief, of course, your pay will be much higher than that of a stripper"

" No way! I am not going to be a prostitute!"

"Don't think of it as just that, sex is pleasurable even for you, so what's so bad about making money out of it? Anyways, I am just telling you about the vacant position we have, If you are not interested then you are free to go, no one would force you"

The man waved his hand dismissively at her like he already knew she wouldn't agree, he was damn right she wouldn't! Lisa turned around and Left. Even though she was desperate for money she would never scoop so low as to have sex for it. Even West who she had been engaged to for so many years hadn't made a move on her, Why then should she let herself be taken by others? She would just have to find another way. There had to be another way.

Lisa felt like crying at the moment, this was her last chance, what else was she expected to do now? She wouldn't go back to her parents, she would rather sleep on the streets! Plus, she knew they were just waiting to make fun of her when she came back. They would gladly hand her over to West who would make her life miserable. The world was such a cruel place, how was she to survive out there alone? If she got kicked out of her apartment she doesn't know what evil things were waiting to snatch her.

Instead of leaving the club directly, Lisa went to the restroom to think further. She poured water on her face and stared at her disheveled appearance in the mirror. Despite looking out of place she still had a lot of appeal to her, it was because of this pretty face of hers that West had become interested in the first place. Perhaps if she had an average appearance her life would have been better. Just as Lisa was contemplating whether or not to accept the job, the door of the bathroom was pushed open with force and a woman dressed in red clothes hurried inside. The woman was breathing heavily and was looking around her in panic.

Because she was wearing a red veil Lisa couldn't see her face, but she could tell that this woman wasn't someone ordinary. Her skin-tight evening dress was coupled with diamond earrings and necklace, and her long dark hair was the same length as Lisa's and was held in a bun. Even though the fave was covered Lisa noted that this woman looked a lot similar to herself, they could almost a mistaken for twins because of their similar height and body structure. Seeing that this woman resembles her a lot Lisa couldn't help but worry about her.

" Is something wrong miss?" she asked and concerned. The woman's eyes darted to her, it might be the first time she had noticed Lisa's presence. She didn't speak for a long time and only watched Lisa silently with a thoughtful gaze. The woman in red took a step towards her when Lisa was sure that she wouldn't get an answer.

" Y...yes, I am fine. I. I just came with my friends to a party but found out that I was overdressed " Lisa looked down at the woman's expensive dress with an obvious look. Who would wear something like that to a party? But why was she telling her this? The woman continued to speak "Umm, perhaps you would do me a favor and exchange clothes with me, please I would appreciate it "

" Are you serious? you want to exchange clothes?"

" Yes, if you wouldn't mind "

" But your dress looks so expensive, I can't possibly..."

"Don't worry about it. I have thousands like it, please, here you can have this as your payment " The diamond necklace which was around a woman's neck was handed over to Lisa. Lisa looked down at it with shock, it was so heavy, obviously so very expensive. How can someone casually give away such a treasure? The life of the rich was truly something else.

Lisa wouldn't have accepted this on a normal occasion, but at the moment she was in desperate need of money and she knew that if she sold it she would have enough money to even get out of town and start her life afresh. Even though she was still a bit hesitant she agreed to the woman's condition. They quickly swapped clothing, the woman was now dressed in Lisa's faded jeans and hoodie, but she still hadn't taken off the veil. She thanked Lisa profusely before walking out of the bathroom in hurried steps.

Lisa sighed as she held onto the diamond necklace in her hands tightly, now that she had something like this she wouldn't need to find a job anymore. It was best if she could find someone who would buy this as soon as possible so she would be out of there before West found out. As she stepped out, her eyes widened at the sight before her. A man, strikingly handsome, stood at the entrance. He exuded confidence, donning an impeccably tailored, expensive suit. His tall stature, broad shoulders, and toned physique were only accentuated by his perfectly tailored suit, which hugged his body in all the right places. His chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes were framed by tousled blond hair that gave him a rugged yet refined look.

To Lisa's surprise, he was accompanied by a group of over a dozen men, all clad in dark suits that seemed to emphasize their mysterious and dangerous nature. The entrance of this entourage was not discreet; it caught the attention of every person in the bar. Conversations momentarily ceased, and all eyes turned toward the unexpected guests.

Who were these men? And what brought them here, causing such a stir? Their presence seemed to command respect and even a hint of fear from those around them. As Lisa observed the group, she couldn't help but notice something peculiar. A strangely captivating scent seemed to waft from the handsome man, captivating her senses. It was as if his hormones emitted an intoxicating fragrance, drawing her towards him. The scent was inviting yet mysterious, like an alluring secret waiting to be unraveled.

It was very strange that such a group of people would make an appearance in a place like this. What Lisa was most afraid of was the possibility of these men having a connection with West, the last thing she needed was to be discovered by him.

The subject of her curiosity must have noticed her stare. He turned those piercing blue eyes in her direction causing Lisa's body to freeze. However, his gaze did no longer, it was like he was only making an observation and had no interest in looking further.

He walked forward to take a seat in the bar, and Lisa took this opportunity to make her getaway. However, before she could get to the door, someone got in front of her. Lisa looked up to see a tall man dressed in a dark suit, She was sure he was part of the group that had showed up in the bar mysteriously. " Hello doll " he grinned at her " I'm gonna need you to head back with me, try not to get frightened by the noises "

Before she could question him about what noises he was referring to, the sound of a gunshot rang loudly across the room causing panicked screams from the women. Lisa's body trembled in fear as multiple gunshots ensued. Her eyes were closed and she had her hands covering her ears, yet she was unable to run away because of the vice grip on her elbow.

Drinks were spilled, glasses were shattered, and bodies were trampled as people struggled to get away. For whatever reason those men had decided to fire guns in a bar, it wasn't to kill. Maybe they were just doing it for fun, those psychopathic Alphas.

Lisa was only forced to open her eyes when the room became engulfed in silence. Her eyes pried open to see the mess, the red stains on the marble flooring were an indication that someone must have gotten hurt.

" What are you doing? Let go of me? " Lisa tried to struggle as she was dragged forward by the dark-haired man. He didn't glance at her, that scary grin still plastered on his face. Lisa found herself tossed forward, nearly tripping on her feet but managing to catch herself. She came face to face with the blue-eyed devil.

" Tell me " His deep voice boomed with authority, low yet managing to send shivers down her spine. " Where is Marina?"

" M...marina? Who is that?"
