Anabel ignored Elena, she wanted to know where Pete was. “Where did you take my friend, I want to see that you haven’t hurt him.” She said shaking her head.
“Dremis?” Marcus said rolling his eyes.“Yes, boss?” Dremis said appearing near the kitchen.“Go and get Pete, Anabel doesn’t believe we didn’t hurt him,” Marcus said getting to his feet. “I’m going to prove to her we didn’t hurt him.”“Fine,” Dremis said disappearing for a second and reappearing with a struggling Pete.“Let me go!” Pete growled.Anabel stood up. “Please let him go.” She said shaking her head. “He’s the only one that I can trust out of all of you. You two can appear where ever you want and that’s kind of creepy, Pete at least he can take me with him.”“I brought you here, I can do the same thing Pete can,” Marcus said walking closer to Anabel, but she backed up. “Don’t worry no one is going to hurt you, Anabel, you are safe.’“Don’t believe him, Anabel,” Pete said dusting himself off because Dremis pushed him to the floor. “They are the rulers here, you can't possibly trust him.” He said shaking his head. “Do you remember what I told you before you ran away at the market?”“Yeah, you said he would kill both of us if we got caught,” Anabel said shaking her head. “Please Marcus you don’t want to hurt either one of us.” She said looking at Marcus; he had a look on his face that she couldn’t read. He was between confused and pissed off.“Anabel!” Marcus said shaking his head. “We’re not going to harm either one of you.” He said shaking his head. “Pete kept you safe until we found you, he can go whenever he wants, and I want you to stay here until we figure out why you have no memory of anything. Do you even remember your sons?”“I have no idea what you are talking about?” Anabel said shaking her head. “I told you I only remember waking up in the cave. You said that it’s been twenty years? If I have sons where are they?”“Elijah,” Marcus called.Elijah walked into the room. “Yeah dad?” he said looking at Marcus and then Anabel.“You remember the story I told about your mother?” Marcus said shaking his head. “This is your mother, she was lost. We found her this morning looking for food, she has no memory.”“Oh.” Elijah didn’t know what to say. Marcus never told him she was dead, but he did say they may never find her. Elijah looked at Anabel. “Finally, welcome Mom.” He said wanting to go and sit with her, but he didn’t know how to react to her and the whole situation.“Um.” Anabel didn’t know what to say. Her heart told her to run as fast as she could, she couldn’t trust anyone. “Please forgive me all of this is a lot to take in,” she said shaking her head.“I know it is, but you asked and I wanted you to see I haven’t lied about anything,” Marcus said getting up and walking over to Elijah. “You helped save me, I told you this.” He said walking closer to Anabel. “I want to save you now, I want to be the one you can trust, the one that you will call on.” He said kneeling next to Anabel.Anabel didn’t say anything, she looked down at her food it was getting cold. Her stomach still growled for it, but she wanted to know more about them, she wanted to know what they were.“So you can travel between realms is what Pete says they are.” She said taking a bite of food. “Can I?”“I don’t know Anabel,” Marcus said looking back at Dremis. “The only way we can see is if you try and teleport somewhere.” He said looking back at her. “You may not be able to, but I don’t want that to make you sad. We will always be around to make sure you are taken care of.”A knock at the door startled Anabel, she looked at the door and then at Marcus.“It’s Carlos,” Dremis growled.“Aw man, what does he want now,” Marcus said standing up. “I’ll be right back, this isn’t going to take long.” He said walking to the door. Marcus stepped out onto the porch.Anabel stood up and walked over to the window, Elena tried to say something but it was too late. Anabel opened the curtains a little bit so she could see what was going on. She couldn’t understand what they were saying, and she didn’t know who the two that came to the door were.Marcus walked back into the house, when he saw Anabel by the door, he almost wanted to scream. “Why aren’t you eating your food?” he said putting his arm around her and leading her back to the fire. “Finish your dinner, and then if you want you can take a bath and get some rest.” He said looking at Dremis. “We’ll watch over you to make sure you wake up here and you don’t try and run away from me again.” He said walking away from Anabel.Dremis walked with Marcus, and Elena stayed with Anabel. “So how old are you?” she said looking at Anabel.“I don’t know, twenty-something,” Anabel said eating some more food. “What about you?”“Two thousand and twelve years,” Elena said flicking her hair behind her shoulder. “So you are going to look like that for the rest of your life.”“Really?” Anabel said looking down at her arms, she was still purple. “I guess I don’t mind having this kind of skin. I mean it’s different than you and Marcus.” Anabel said shaking her head.“You got that color from Hecta. It’s a blessing.” Elena said wanting to touch Anabel, but she wasn’t sure about her.“Quiet Elena!” Marcus growled. “Love doesn’t listen to her, she doesn’t know what she speaks of.” He said glancing over at Elena. “She likes to tell stories to make things more interesting for you since you do not remember anything,” Marcus said bringing Anabel a cup of punch. “This should help you rest tonight.”“What is it?” Anabel said taking the drink and looking at her. It didn’t have any kind of spell, and it was a thick red colored drink.“It’s fruit punch it’s something we’re told humans enjoy.” He said clearing his throat. “It has helped you humans relax.”“But I thought I was a demon?” Anabel said shaking her head. “I mean that is what Pete said I was.” She said taking her first drink, she didn’t mind the taste that much.“Well I don’t know what you are, I know you used to be a human and you might still be one,” Marcus said shaking his head. “So how does it taste?”“It’s alright.” She said drinking half the cup. “I am getting tired, I don’t think I’ve rested very well.” She said putting the cup aside.Marcus picked up the cup, he was happy she drank the entire thing. He handed Elena the cup, picked Anabel up, and took her to her room, he put her to bed. “Good night love, I am glad I found you before the Angels did.” He said shaking his head before he left the room.Marcus walked down the stairs, Dremis and Elena stood there waiting for him to say something, when he didn’t Dremis did. “How are we going to take care of her without the Angel’s knowing about her?” he said shaking his head.“Don’t worry about that right now Dremis,” Marcus said rolling his eyes. “Right now she doesn’t know anything, she doesn’t remember anything. So that is going to play a good part in our world for us.” He said looking at Elena. “I need more of your magic.”“Alright, I can get some more,” Elena said walking away from Marcus. “What are you going to do to her?”“Don’t worry about that right now Elena,” Marcus said shaking his head. “I have a plan and this time I think it will work. I will convince her that Carlos and Misty are two people that are going to try and kill her.” Marcus said looking at Elena. “I need something that is going to make sure her memory doesn’t return, this will be a perfect ending to Angel’s quests, they will go on and forget about her, and we will have her and she will live her life out here, and we’ll see what happens.” He half-smiled.No one said anything, Dremis watched Marcus. He seemed calm for already having the Angels come to his door shortly after they foun
The bathroom door opened, and Anabel used the towel to dry her hair, and she almost jumped out of her skin when she saw Marcus sitting there. “Um hi?” she said narrowing her eyes. “I didn’t know you were waiting for me.”“Don’t worry I wasn’t waiting long.” He lied. “I wanted to talk to you about what you remember before we meant in the cave.”Anabel thought about it for a moment, she could make up stories to make him happy, but truly she didn’t remember anything. “I don’t remember anything.” She said shaking her head.“You don’t remember the Heaven vs. Hell war? Or the rituals?” he said waiting for her to start screaming at him because she remembered what he did to her.Anabel thought about it for a few more minutes, “no I don’t remember anything, rituals what’s that?” she said almost jumping on the bed. “There was a war I was in?” she said shaking her head.“Well never mind.” He said shaking his head. “I told you a story about all of this before you ran away and lost your memory.” H
“I wouldn’t do it pet,” Victor growled. “You know you’re going to lose whether you like it or not.” He said shaking his head. “We have plans for her now that we know Hecta could take an Angel, Legion wants her for even darker things.” He said showing his teeth.“Oh please,” Dremis said shaking his head. “You know you’re not going to win this, so you might as well give it up.” He said charging him, Victor countered him throwing him into the wall next to Anabel.Dremis reached for Anabel, but Victor pulled her away from him.“Carlos get to Anabel now!” Dremis growled charging Victor again.Carlos saw Anabel, he let go of the demon he was fighting, he quickly ran to Anabel, and then to the two. “Portal now James.” He growled watching for demons coming toward them.James summoned a portal, and Carlos was the first one through. “Oh my God, you’ve found her!” Misty said running over to him, Carlos walked into the living room and laid her on the table.“Yeah, Marcus didn’t lie this time.” He
“This is Amelia.” Misty said looking at Carlos. “Michael asked her to come and help me with some of the magic I’m going to have to do on Anabel to get her to remember only what we want her to.” She said looking down at the book. “So I think this is the spell.” She said pointing to it so Amelia could read it.“That might be it, but you’re going to need the help of a demon, do you know a demon that might help you guys?” she said looking at both Misty and Carlos.“Well we do know a demon, but I’m not sure if he would be willing to help us, but he might be.” Misty said shaking her head. “But he let us take Anabel, so he might be willing to help restore things.” She said looking at Carlos. “That means you and the twins need to go to his realm and see if he wants to help us?”“I don’t know if he is even there, we left him fighting Legion.” Carlos said clearing his throat. “But I guess we can check.” He said getting to his feet. “I need to see if Michael is done with the twins, if he isn’t I
“There you are.” Misty said shaking her head. “You like disappeared, we didn’t know where you were. I asked Tristan if you were with Anabel, he said no.” she said plopping down on the chair. “What are you making I’m starving.” She said trying to see what he was doing.“It’s going to be a little while since I have to start over.” He said shaking his head. “I was with Anabel, I was hoping she would have woken up so at least we could chat before she saw everyone else.” He said without looking at Misty. “But she didn’t wake up, so I came in here to see where everyone else was.” He said looking at her.“Well Elena went home, the twins are back and well I was in my room. I smelled something cooking and came in here to see you.” She said getting up from the table. “Do you want some help with that?” she said looking down at what he was doing.“No, but you can fill me into what you guys are going to do now that we don’t have Marcus to help us.” He said throwing some food in a dish and turning
Anabel opened her eyes, she was in a room she thought she knew but she wasn’t sure. Getting out of bed, she walked to the door the hallway was long and dark, there were a few rooms here and there. Looking back into the room, she didn’t know if she had anything with her in the room, at the moment she didn’t care.Walking down the hallway, she found another door. Pushing it open, it leads to a big room with some people there. Most of them looked like they were out of their mind, and she didn’t want to get near them.Anabel walked to the desk, but the lady didn’t even look at her. Again she thought she knew the lady, but wasn’t sure. “Hey excuse me, where are we?” she said looking at the room, it looked like a Doctor’s office, only she didn’t know why she would be there.“Sit down and we will call you when we are ready for you.” She said without looking up at Anabel. “Please back away.” She said looking up. “I will call for security if you do not back up.”“Alright.” Anabel said shaking
A few hours seemed to pass by, Anabel was bored out of her mind, she was hoping Carlos wasn’t outside her room. She wanted to walk around by herself and think more about what she was missing.Slowly opening the door, she looked in both directions, but he wasn’t in the hallway. Her stomach hurt worse this time, but she didn’t want to call for Carlos, she would find the food herself.Walking down the hallway, it opened up to a bigger room, people were eating, Anabel could smell the food cooking, she followed the smell until she came to a small café.“Hi can I help you?” a small man came around the corner. “Oh, you are Anabel.” He said pointing at her. “Carlos asked me to prepare one of your favorites.” He said handing her a tray. “I just finished cooking it, so it’s nice and warm.”“Thanks.” She said taking the tray and walking over to an empty table. She slowly ate her food, she knew what it was. It was some kind of Mexican meal, she wasn’t picky.“So how’s your food?” Carlos said sitt
“Legion is the leader of Hell.” He said taking in some air. “We need to stop him before he does start another war, and the four horsemen and all of that.” He said looking at the door. “Do you want to take a walk so I can show you around like I was supposed to but you didn’t even give me a chance?”“How long are we going to have to stay here?” she said walking towards the door. “I guess we can take a walk, I hope we’re not here that long.”“We’re here until they’ve decided you have enough of your memory back so we can continue on our journey, you were in a contract with Heaven to aide them with whatever they need help with.” He said shrugging his shoulders. “Maybe we’ll be leaving sooner than you think.” He said trying to make Anabel feel better.“Well the sooner we’re out of here, the better I will feel,” Anabel said walking with him down the hall.“So you know this is where you get your food, so no more hungry stomach.” He said half smiling, “If you go down that hallway there is a li
