Ch. 75 Wild Goose Chase

Ryan’s POV

I sat on the bed with my laptop, distracting myself with work emails while Reegan paced back and forth in front of me. He was muttering under his breath, presumably talking to his wolf, but it was driving me crazy! It was hard enough trying to keep my own emotions in check without his nervous energy on full display.

After about thirty minutes, I couldn’t take it anymore. I was about to suggest we go back to check on our mate when both of our phones dinged at the same time. I dug mine out of my pocket and Reegan nearly dove to grab his off the dresser.

“Your parents were really nice but meeting them just made me realize how serious things have gotten between us. I need some space to think. Please respect that and don’t come to my room tonight” The text read.
