As usual, words failed me when it mattered most. And nothing had ever mattered more to me than this woman in front of me. So, I did my best to speak from my heart and explain how I felt. I didn’t expect it to be enough but I had to try.

She was right, the mate bond doesn’t magically change you. I needed to make her understand that who I’d been was never who I wanted to be.
