"Hello?"

"Hey, it's me again," the man from the accident said. "Can we meet up and talk about what happened? Maybe clear the air?"

"The way I treated you after our night together was wrong. You deserve better than that. I want to apologize, and I think it's important for us to clear the air."

"I'm sorry, but I don't think that's a good idea," I said. "I'm not interested in seeing you again. Please, don't contact me again."

With a sigh, I ended the call, the silence ringing in my ears like a deafening gong.

The situation with Adam was already a mess, and this stranger was just adding more confusion to the mix.
