Let the fight begin
I start waking up and I feel groggy as hell, my head feels too heavy for my body and my mind feels all fuzzy, what the hell is going on? My body feels achy so I go to stretch out but I can't move and that's only adding to my confusion and makes me instantly start to panic.
"Baby it's ok to breath!" I hear the soothing voice of my mate as I slowly open my eyes but my breathe gets caught in my throat when I see what's around us and I have to fight back tears.
"Alex, what's going on? What happened? Where are we?" The questions fall out of my mouth fast but I can't stop them.
"Sean and Stacey had a lot of men on their side hiding away, one of them managed to get you over the fence before he covered your mouth with a cloth that must have been covered in some kind of knock out shit. Beta Alex's pov The relief I feel the moment I see Noah walk inside the room is something else, I couldn't take one more second of this shit and after what I had to do to get Stacey away from Emma all I want right now is to have my girl in my arms, I need to feel her. An Omegas Hope Heartbroken
Beta Alex's pov We walk through the last of the forest and into the clearing in front of the packhouse, no one has said a word while we have walked back. The twins took the lead while Josh is walking behind everyone and despite being offered help he insisted on being the one to carry Noah's body home while Emma has walked numbly next to me while I've tugged her along. I hear noise and look up to see Sophia, Jake, Savannah and Mia all coming out of the packhouse looking both relieved and worried. Beta Alex's povIt's been 2 weeks since Noah's death and things are still raw but I know from personal experience that this isn't something that's going to just go away, you never get over losing the people that you love but you just learn to live with it somehow. Some days are harder than others but day by day slowly things are starting to get back into a routine.The day after the battle we managed to get final numbers on deaths and it turns out that we lost four more wolves than we first thought, 11 of our pack members were lost that day and the effects are still being felt just as strong.They were someone's son or daughter and someone's sister or brother. Some of them were mates and parents and they will always be honoured at this pack. Beta Alex's pov "I want you to pair up, we are practising attack and defence today!" I bellow out to the warriors in my class which include my girl. It's been just over a month since Noah's death and it's been incredibly hard, the whole pack has felt the effects of his death and as much as Jake has struggled poor Sophia really couldn't cope and was close to having a breakdown so Jake has taken her away for a little while in the hope it will do her some good. They have been gone a week and from what we can see from when we have face timed them Sophia definitely seems to be improving already but I have a feeling it will be a while until they are back home. Emma hid away for a while but I made her come to training 5 days ago and thankfully she was grateful for it and has kept coming since and for the first time since the attack both Mia and Josh have come to warrior training this morning and I'm proud of them for it.
