Bella’s POV

“Enough! Both of you! I won’t allow you to disrespect me in this manner. This whole thing–” I watched Alpha Draco pursed his lips. Deep down I was sure he regretted what he had done, but this didn’t bring back the dead man. I wept bitterly and I could feel my wolf was sad as well.

“She killed him,” Zoey purred but as my fist remained clenched and my eyes poured more tears the meeting was dismissed and everyone moved on as if nothing had happened while the one whom I’m sure had organized this whole thing escaped punishment. Those who were killed were the soldiers she sent since it was their faces that were seen.
