Chapter Twenty-Four: The Studio

Raegan’s POV

“It's no secret that he never understood me and whenever we had a clash I was careful not to reveal how much he had hurt me for never being there for me” he continued sadly.

“Sometimes I felt that I was the child he never wanted”.

“You should have seen your face!” Gunner suddenly exclaimed, turning off the suspense that was in the air in a matter of seconds.

I joined him in laughing but I could see beneath that fake smile the pain that lay underneath.

It seemed as though he had just realized that he was talking too much and decided to playfully move it to the side.

I wasn't going to push because it was obvious that the subject made him uncomfortable and I understood…at least to an extent.

In silence we walked towards a room that had the tag, ‘keep off’ in its front and with a sigh he opened it.

It wasn't just a room, deep down I was expecting a room that would have his mother laying down looking all sick and maybe on life support but no…it was a studio.
