It was 4 am. The ocean waves were at high tide pushing and pulling gently. There was a light breeze. In the distant were the glowing lights of Covens Keep, a port town at the point of the chanel. The island has always been desired, as it sits in the middle of the vampires' and werewolves' main capitals. The people of Coven's Keep lived in constant fear of being livestock. The witches of the town the only source of income coming in. It is 35 years after the nuclear explosions that caused the great reset of this planet. Technology is now rare and a symbol of wealth for those able to use it. People now live day-to-day like in the medieval times and vampires, werewolves and magic, something that used to be in stories. Was found to have some truth. Until one day, every living creature became united under one coat of arms. We will start at the beginning.
Tempest was up meditating above the water. It was a way to control her chaos magic of water to just around the vicinity of her body. The surrounding area had electric blueish waves growing faint as they came away from her body. She loved doing this exercise on the shoreline and had made camp here last night just to meditate here before arriving in her village today. She loved the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline. Meditation every day makes for great chaos is what her coven always preaches. A witch is only as good as their control of chaos. It is what helps us be more successful than humans. In this day in age, humans make money as laborers or just being cattle. Tempest would never stoop to be livestock. She breathed in slowly, and the water slowly pulled, raising Tempest into the air. She swooped her arms. Her ebony hands glowed as they cupped the clear water. She had ice-blue line tattoos that went up her legs and down her arms dramatically in contrast to her dark skin. They were etched into her skin the night she had been purchased, and the tattoo was a reminder not to trust anyone. Tempest felt a ripple. It was faint at first but grew in intensity. She breathed out and opened her ice-blue eyes slowly. Her full lips were in a frown and her razor-cut eyebrows arched. She looked behind her, "What is that disturbance?" She saw a steam and witch-powered boat with a Romanian royal symbols etched into the hull. The ship was heading toward the keep of her coven. Tempest had an odd feeling. The vampire clan of Romania has ruled over them for the last 10 years. Ever sense, her father turned tail like a coward and ran when he found out it was the Romanian clan of vampires that had come to conquer this area. Werewolves and vampires have been in a constant struggle for power as of late. Doing the same thing, they accused humans of, unfortunately, which was destroying the earth with violence. Vampires and werewolves will say it's different cause there's not any catastrophic technology any more like nuclear bombs causing massive explosions. So many explosions had happened that day. It has wiped out most humanity from this world. This is what allowed the vampires and werewolves to conquer large portions of land. Claiming humans were idiots incapable of responsibly managing dangerous weapons. The explosions had got rid of most tech and the original vampires burned any books to do with it. Causing a complete start over for humanity, tipping the scales, vampires and werewolves easily overpowered us with their natural abilities during the wars 30 years ago. The world was never the same either. When all the explosions happened back then, chaos seeped into this world, making humans even lower on the totem pole than witches. People with chaos mutations started emerging making money as mercenaries and contractors because of the growth of chaos-powered technology. Tempest was a mercenary. She had just got back with a hefty bounty for the rogue vampire that was feeding in the daylight. There was a top dollar bounty on him. Because if a vampire can walk in the daylight. It is a vampire from a main bloodline. The scandal. Vampires' whole call to power is the stupidity of humans and how barbaric they can be. So having an old blood vampire in the daylight killing humans. The upper vampire counsel never has an argument about what to do about that. So, Tempest got paid to silence him quickly by putting two holy water ice spears in his chest. She smiled as she thought about that killing. They seem to be coming to her easier now. Tempest had thrown up on her first one. Sister Esther will be proud of her. Tempest needed to bring her earnings back anyway, and she had a weird feeling about the boat. Tempest hopped out of her meditation pose and swam toward shore. She removed her wet clothes. Her ebony skin glowing vibrantly as her body absorbed the water through the skin. Tempest's chaos was water causing her body composition to rejuvenate when exposed to non-polluted water. She has been able to rejuvenate this way since she was a child. She could always stay underwater longer than anyone. She smirked as she looked at her skin. The marks from her fight had completely healed. She dried her body with her towel. She changed into her mercenary riot gear. She grabbed her tactical boots and socks from by the fire. She loved it when they were warm. She put out her fire. She packed up her camp and took off on her black horse, Icesess, toward her coven's keep. In these parts, traveling by horse or motorcycle was easiest. The rural areas they lived in often had narrow and unable to be traveled paths by anything larger. That is why most people travel to it by boat. That is why the coven's keep is a focal point of this area. If you rule it. You can take anything else around it. She had lived with her coven since she was 14. The night before the invasion was supposed to be her awakening and when she had powers of chaos instead of a wolf. Her father sold her to the coven. They were tough on her, but the head sisters were like her mothers. She raced toward the keeps main gate, her hair in long jet black spirals and locs flying in the air behind her. Tempest did not know at the time. She had been seen on that shore.
Tempest arrived at the main gate. There was a large amount of survivors trying to buy their safety. This was a common occurrence. Living outside the walls can be treacherous. Alchemists who weild the power of puppet magic rarely discriminate between controlling someone dead versus alive. Their puppets are nothing but monster henchmen. Then, of course, you have to worry about vampires and even the rejected. Rejected are like golums. Humans that were bitten and drunk from a vampire. Two things can go wrong if you swear allegiance to a vampire not strong enough to turn you. The second, the human's body was too weak to endure it. They often serve a master, but stragglers are common in most parts and are known for f*eding on survivors living outside the wall of a keep. A vampire spotted her. He whispered something to the gate keep. The gatekeeper pointed to her, "You! Come pay your f*e." Tempest did not question her luck. She paid the gate f*e and raced inside. There appeared to be a commotion. Everyone seemed to be in a panic. Everyone appeared to be gathering near the town center. Tempest checked out the area curiously. She then felt herself being pushed into the rest of the crowd gathered in the main circle. In the main circle. There was a stage put up, and 2 people put on the stage. They had black hoods over their faces. Humans. It must be blood sacrifice day. Tempest did not know. It seemed like it was coming too soon. People have to choose who will be drained to the point that they will be in the hospital for weeks. Unable to provide for their families and clinging to dear life. If you survive it. You nor anyone in your family can be picked for 50 years. You get paid in coins. Enough coins that your family can be settled for life. The only rule regulating it is no child sacrifices. They thought it was too barbaric. Tempest was caught in the confusion. When Sister Esther quickly grabbed her and said, " I thought I told you to come straight back. Now, I do not have time to hide you. Put your hood over your head, Tempest." Tempest saw the concern on Sister Esther's face and quickly complied. She whispered to Sister Esther, " What is wrong? I have never seen you look like that." Sister Esther saw a man walk on stage. He had on royal armor with the Romanian coat of arms on it. He was a chevalier. These are humans whose bodies are capable of merging with vampires' blood. Creating a stronger than normal human, capable of wielding vampire's magic. Chevaliers are loyal to their masters and are said to die if separated too long from them. The chevalier introduced his masters, " I present Master Alucard and Master Anton. Tempest looked at the stage as 2 men walked onto the stage. They were both pale. One had blond hair so fair it was almost white. His eyes were a beautiful yellow, like amber. They looked uninterested in the situation. He appeared to be looking through the crowd for something. The other man had dark brown hair that was in a low ponytail and piercing blue eyes. He walked with his arms behind him. He had a bad aura about him. His teeth showed through his sly smile. He took no time snapping the man's neck back and biting his neck. The vampire with the brown hair, after a while, he offered the human to the blond vampire. The blond vampire shook his head. He still appeared to be combing the crowd with his eyes. What is he looking for, she thought. That did stop the brunette vampire. He continued eating till the man's complexion went pale. He released him and people ran to his side and rushed him to get emergency care. His wife followed him crying. The vampire with the brown hair spoke. " Your sacrifice pleases me. I thank you. My name is Anton. I will be in charge of this port territory for the meantime. First order of business, the werewolves are planning to blockade your seas. They are doing this in the hope of weakening forces and slowing up income and making transactions difficult to compete. We are here to prevent that. We will fend off any blockade ships and run off any rejected making homes outside your walls, and we will be conquering any non-peaceful werewolf settlements nearby. In the meantime, you will want to rev up farming and prep blood giving for your vampire soldiers that are here to protect you. As well as food for your chevalier knights. Any questions?" Everyone was quiet. No one would dare object, but they were not happy about being occupied. Vampires can be greedy, especially when healing. Esther spotted the rest of their coven in the crowd. She quietly pulled Tempest to join her with the women. Tempest was surprised when Anton brought his attention to them. He asked, irritated,"Where is your scout as we paid handsomely for them to get intel. We haven't heard anything from you. So send 2 of your leaders to sacrifice. We will be draining them so 2 leaders you don't need." The girls cried as the guards took two of their elders. Esther put her hand out quickly. She said, " I can explain, it was the hellbeasts. It was an impossible mission for jus those few chaos wielder. Have mercy." Tempest held the youngest new orphan by her side. Her eyes cold. When she noticed the blond man staring at her. He whispered in the vampire named Anton's ear. Anton then looked at her. His eyes widened. He spoke to the elders who were brought up to be sacrificed. "Is her chaos elemental?" He looked from them to Tempest. The elders slowly shook their heads. They wanted to live, but a person with elemental chaos magic is rare, even more so water chaos. They made so much money from her earnings. Anton continued and pointed at Tempest. " In exchange for your lives. We will take that woman. In exchange, we will make your coven the head lords of this land. How does that sound?" Tempest looked shocked. Why would they want me, she thought. Anton gestured to her but spoke to the elder sister. "Have her remove her cloak. " The sister who were up for sacrifice, nodded to her in hope. Se would comply and save them. Everyone was staring at Tempest and she felt nervous. The vampire who she assumed to be Alucard raised his hand to tell her to stop, " Let's discuss this somewhere else. Our men are setting up their encampment on the shoreline in case of attack. You will send people to help with that and wall night guards as well. My sire and I will settle in the castle for now. You and your ladies follow us up here. We have a lot to discuss."
Two large men came and stood on both sides of Tempest. She did not know if she should attack them and run or go along with them. This felt like 10 years ago all over again. No choice but to move where she was placed. She walked along with her two escorts up to the castle. Along the way she could already see signs of the vampires settling in. Drinking from people's necks like they were on tap. The cries that came from the town was beyond depressing. People being pulled out of their homes and all the adults being accounted for. Women being checked for virginity. Virgins were always given to the Lord as their blood was considered the purest. People's inventory being checked and confiscated by soldiers. These things always happen when the army temporarily occupies an area for battle. Tempest sighed. She felt like the chaos all around her made everything that much more depressing. Tempest saw the blond vampire looking at her for a moment, while they walked to the castle. He turned and whis
The following day, Tempest could feel the sun rays on her skin. She sat up in the bed, just in time to hear the door knock. Sister Esther walked in and Tempest could immediately feel herself become anxious. As Esther walked in, with a black lace ball gown in her hands. The corseted bodice was see-through and had a beautiful embroidered pattern, but it looked uncomfortable and not anything like what she would normally wear. Tempest looked at Esther flatly. She said, " I am going to look ridiculous walking around in that." Esther stood straight with a stern look on her face. She said, I know you want to be difficult, but Master Alucard had this dress rush made for you. So you can meet his generals and Lords that arrived here to manager with the coven. You will need their approval, so the council can approve your ritual bond." Tempest sat up defiantly. She said, " Maybe I do not want to be bonded to him. Isn't it enough I already have to be bonded to him. I get to be a walking IV bag for
Tempest was soaking in the bath. Thankful for the time alone, after undergoing all of Elena's magical beautification process. As she calls it. Tempest could still feel the burn from the wax strips, removing all her hair. Right after that, she was subjected to a hot old dip. To which, Tempest had to admit as she rubbed her legs together. Her skin did feel amazing. She smiled happily to herself. Before, there was a knock on the door. She could hear Elena say on the other side of the door, " We need to get ready. No! You will not hurt my lady again!" Tempest quickly jumped up from the tub. She could hear a scuffle. She used the water int he tub to grab a robe for her. She tied it around her waist as she ran out the door. It was a gray wolf, it's sharpened claws were stepping on Elena's chest. Tempest's eyes glowed with instant anger. The wolf quickly lunged at Tempest, which was a bad idea. The wolf did not see the ice sword Tempest had materialized in her hand. Tempest quickly swung th
Alucard was in the dining hall of the castle. He was walking with Anton speaking with the various representatives of the council, from Raiden. A rep of Vudu, said to Alucard, " I cannot wait to see her eyes, I heard they glow boldly. But is she really going to be suitable? We do not know her lineage?" Reave a round man, with a face and neck like an exclamation point. He said, " Yes, especially when he had a choice of old blood lineage to choose from. Seems like a wild card to me. I would be worried about my genes." Alucard rolled his eyes. He knew this weasel was one of Annette, on the council minions. Annette was one of the old blood women. Who had been seeking a proposal from Alucard. He said, " Well, with the noble women I saw. I would not be passing them on, at all." Alucard rolled his eyes as he walked off, leaving Anton to apologize for him. Alucard sighed as he walked among the guest in the room. Alucard looked around the room for his sires. He saw Amethyst sitting on the side
empest quickly ran up the stairs, the look on his face. Alucard was going to for sure decline the proposal now. Tempest began to cry, she should have just stayed quiet and to herself. Tempest even though she was mad, at Esther. She hated to see the disappointment on her face. Esther, was like a mother to Tempest. The main person, she had grew to rely on. The only constant, in her life for this long. Not long after she heard a knock on the door, Cyan opened the door slowly. She walked and looked around the immaculately decorated room. She said softly, " Huh, he is so picky. Everything is so tidy. It's missing something though." Tempest was wiping the tears from her face. Cyan walked over and sat down next to Tempest. Cyan cleaned up Tempest make up, before saying quietly, " A little bit of chaos." Tempest looked surprised as she sat up. Cyan said, " Alucard had a smirk on his face all night. " Tempest sighed, " Not when I threw up all over him. Stupid wine and blood. I still do not und
Alucard was pacing outside the castle where the outer wall of the keep and the castle connect. He had just taken a long drag from his pipe. When he sensed one of his sires behind him, he exhaled the smoke, He asked without looking behind him, " What do you want, Amethyst? When I want time to myself. I do not understand why you all always seem to come find me anyway." Alucard could feel a set of hands touch his sides before wrapping around him. Alucard's thoughts flashed to a moment on the balcony with Tempest. Alucard quickly removed her unwanted hands from his body and he turned quickly, to see a shocked Amethyst. Alucard looked at the shock in Amethyst's eyes. Alucard looked to the side before backing away, putting space between the two. He put his hand in his fine platinum hair and said quietly, " I did not mean to startle you. I am just not in the mood for games, Amethyst. I am thinking. What do you want?" Amethyst approached Alucard slowly. She had been by her master's side for y
At first, Tempest could just see shadows for the first few seconds. She opened her eyes. Then her consciousness began to hear the humming sound of voices whispering. Slowly, the sounds became understandable as words. Tempest thought, I must have been struck pretty hard. I need water. As her eyes began to widen, and she took in the surroundings around her, Tempest could tell they were in some sort of underground sewer system. She had never heard of the underground tunnels being under the town. She wondered how elaborate they could possibly be. She could feel water nearby. They knew not to put it in her room. However, they really did not know much about her powers. As long as Tempest is hydrated or if water is near, she can use it. Tempest's eyes lit up, as she easily controlled the water without even the need to see it. She used it to cut open the lock on her door. Tempest opened it quietly and walked out of her confinement. The underground space consisted of several tunnels, Tempest h
Tempest realized quickly, Alucard was a man of his word. He wasted no time in pardoning the wolves the following morning. He also made her spend the whole day, helping them gather resources to build the group home. Alucard also watched as he carried out Tempest's punishment. Tempest did not realize she was kind of spoiled. She had not done this tough of manual labor ever and to top it all off. Alucard was a perfectionist. If any brick or wood panel was even the slightest out of place, he made her redo it. Tempest found it infuriating. So, by the time, Alucard finally let Tempest finish. Elena had to call three ladies in waiting, to carry Tempest up to the bath. While Alucard and Anton discussed future plans with each other. Tempest noticed even though Alucard came and got her, and he did not tell anyone, what she did. He seemed even more secretive than before about discussing politics in her presence. So, Tempest did her best to keep her mouth shut and work rather than make things pos
Tempest's heart was racing as Alucard guided her blind, to their suite. She could hear a door open and Alucard guided her inside. He made the comment, " This is nice." Tempest could feel the warmth of the fire. She asked, " Can I remove the blindfold now." She could feel a warmth breath against her neck and hands running down the arch of her back. Alucard sighed, in her ear. He said quietly, " I will take the blindfold off. Just relax. I am going to imprint, my touch on your body. I want you to never forget it." Tempest's breath began to pick up as she felt Alucard's lips connect to her neck. She could feel the wet cool sensation of his tongue, before kissing her neck. Alucard's hands smoothly unlaced the corset of her wedding dress. His cool hands then slowly trailed to the front of her body, Tempest felt her gown fall to the ground. Alucard's hands were weather and soft as he cupped her breast. Alucard turned her to face him. His hands ran down Tempest's arms before taking her hands
Evening came and Alucard was nervous as he looked at his image in the mirror. Ignacio came to his side and helped him adjust his suit jack. The emerald green looked bold against his skin and his hair was freshly cut. He let out a heavy breath of nervousness. Trevor came to his side with a shot glass. He said, " Here is something to fix you up." Alucard threw down the whiskey. He nodded at Trevor in appreciation. Alucard looked from Trevor to Ignacio, and he said, " You guys ready to do this?" They both nodded and patted Alucard's back. As they walked out of the inn dressing room. Rosa approached Alucard and the men, who were in their finest. She smiled, " You all look, so handsome. "Alucard and the men smiled as Rosa took Alucard's arm with Ignacio on the other side. When Alucard walked out into the town square, the lights from the lanterns twinkled against the gold and emerald decorations. The black Gothic archway was wrapped in gold. Alucard felt flutters in his chest as he walked d
Tempest felt overwhelmed as she sat in the braiding chair getting her hair braided by several people. While Rosa and Elaine shoved different dresses and different shoes and jewelry in front of her. Rosa said, " What is wrong with this dress?' Tempest shook her head and said, " I am not sure, too white, maybe. This is all happening so soon. Can we just pick something?" Elaine and Rosa looked at each other confused. Elaine said, " Just choose something? Tempest, this is your wedding. You cannot just choose something." Tempest sighed, " To be honest, I thought we were already married. We have been soul bonded for several months now. I forgot all about a wedding. It seems trivial compared to the other issues going on." Rosa looked at Tempest. She said, " If your mind is too cloudy, where you cannot enjoy your own wedding planning, Tempest. Then we need to wait. You only get married once. Alucard would not have suggested it unless he thought it was important." Tempest winced as her section
Alucard trained with Ignacio until Ignacio grew tired and then more till the anger against the world subsided. Until he reached the max he could hold the power before putting the seal back up. Alucard fell to his knees breathing heavily. Though he ate and had plenty of energy. He would need to feed from Tempest as soon as he was back. Alucard was annoyed by it. He did not want to wake her, just to drink from her. He thought to himself, I just have to keep practicing, until I do not need as much blood. As for now, it looks like I will have to bother Tempest. I cannot allow myself to starve or I could go feral. That must have been what happened last time. I need to be more responsible and aware. Alucard's thought flashed to Tempest's memories. It was clear to him, that day Tempest's mother had put her in the water. By how Tempest was lying as her mother held her. Alucard knew that Tempest was clearly dead before she was put in the water. Her mother must have made a pack with the Calyps
Alucard could not believe his eyes. He was staring at a younger Tempest. All of a sudden, he felt a presence next him, It was a present day, Tempest. She said quietly, " This is before my eyes turned the blue, that is so coveted by others now." Alucard looked in amazement at her. This was an upper class skill to be able to show flashbacks like this through a bond link. He asked, "When did you?" Tempest finished his sentence while raising her right eyebrow, " Learn how to do this?" She began to follow the kids, taking Alucard's hand to guide him. She continued passing through the barren looking town. It was nothing like the place Alucard had seen. You could hear the cries of the people that were being hanged. The streets were dirty and poorly taken care of and at the top. The Castle stood in magnificent glory. How disgusting, Alucard thought with a disgusted look on his face as he looked at the condition of the town. No wonder. No resistance had grown in this land. Look how poorly they
Alucard and Tempest had been living among the people of Saint Francis for a little over a month. Tempest was getting the hang of not being weakened by creating small barriers, but anything larger than a building still managed to put stress on her body. This was the fourth time, Alucard had to watch her lie unconscious in their home. The more he saw her in this state, the more he was against her fighting. Despite that, as soon as she was up. She would be right back to training. He had lost her before. What if constantly practicing these barriers leaves her exposed for Calypso to take over her body? Alucard did not want to admit it, but they had not progressed far in their relationship since the night they kissed at the festival. He has not even gotten a chance to kiss her again since then either. Alucard was looking down at her with worry in his heart. He scoffed, Damn her, did she not care what happened to her? Why does she keep trying to learn? He thought. ALucard looked up when he s
When Anton, got to his room, he was already dreading this meeting with the council. It has been a month since Alucard went missing. However, Anton could tell Alucard was not dead. He sired him, and he would feel great loss. So Anton was aware that Alucard was finding a way not to make his presence known. What Anton could not figure out was why. Could it be the woman, he thought. Anton immediately dismissed the idea. He was pacing around the room. When he stopped in place and found himself saying aloud, " Well, she was the last person who he was with. Maybe he decided he needed that time with her." Anton remembered the young boy he raised into the man he was today. Anton sighed. it was so hard for them to be loyal to the council and keep the interests of Alucard in mind. The older he gets as a vampire. Anton never thought he would become attached enough to a human after everything humans had done to him. He never ceases to amaze me. I guess, I got to buy him some time. If he still hasn
When Tempest woke up, she was in a warm room. The wood-paneled walls looked welcoming, and she was covered in the softest of firs. She looked out the window and it was still late night. She thought, Did I fall asleep? A spiritual awakening is draining. Who would have thought? All of a sudden, the door opened and Alucard had walked in. His black button up was halfway unbuttoned, and he had wood chips on his clothes. He dusted his hands off, and he said, " Oh, you are awake? I was putting some wood on the fire and Rosa brought over some leftovers. I put in the chill box. It is some of her leftover chili. If you are hungry, I can go get it and heat it up for you." Tempest let out a sigh. She said, " You are exhausting. You just woke up. If anything, I should be asking you that. " ALucard chuckled and sat down on the corner of the bed. He said, " I know, I know. It just feels like I have slept for forever. I feel like there is so much to do. So much to improve to make this suitable for yo
Alucard was not expecting Tempest to allow a kiss, let alone be the aggressor in continuing it. He could taste the sweet white wine on her breath. When she pulled away, she stopped millimeters from his lips. She looked from his lips to his eyes and said, " Thank you for saving me, Alucard." Alucard smiled, stroking her face with his thumb. He said hoarsely, " I would do it again, to see you in this. When I got out of the carriage, I could have died ironically from getting choked up from seeing you in that dress. You almost made all your effort in saving me useless." Tempest could not help but to laugh. Alucard had such a strange sense of humor, but she understood it. She asked quietly, " With your sires dead, how will they find us." Alucard shook his head. He said, " My sires are not permanently dead. They escaped as soon as they thought they were killed. That type of injury will take a while to recover. So I do not care about it right now. This is the first night, I have got to spend
