She never experienced anything like this before. If she is being honest with herself, then she can admit that she was lost in his kisses and they felt nice.
But, she is not ready to accept it. Her pride will not allow her to agree to something which she did not have control over.
This scared her more than anything could. She looked at him with confusion and a little fear. Her fear comes from the knowledge that she might lose control again.
Lucian looked at her with his pupils dilated. He took a step towards her and she staggered a step back. Confusion and fear evident in her eyes.
Lucian misunderstood her fear. He thought she is scared of him. He retreated his step back away from her.
