Leia - POV
"I've reviewed the documents and still have much more work to do than just analyzing three contracts before forwarding them to the CEO of another company," I remarked, feeling frustrated.
"God! Women, do you only know work and nothing else?" Daisy said as she appeared in the doorway with fresh bagels and a coffee mug. I snatched them from her and unwrapped the bagel to enjoy the coffee.
"Seriously, I got those for myself," Daisy spat, irritated.
"You shouldn't have walked into my room with bagels and coffee if you didn't want them to be taken," I joked with a smile, and Daisy shook her head in amusement.
"How long will you lock yourself in this room, Leia?" Daisy asked, taking a seat on my bed. I continued typing the email, avoiding her gaze.
"My life is in danger, and they keep things from me. What do you think I should do? I'd rather work than go insane thinking about the mystery I'm surrounded by. There's no choice but to follow your boss's orders," I explained, taking a bite of my bagel.
"You need to be patient with the alphas; they're working on it. They'll bring the truth to light," Daisy tried to reason with me, but my eyes glared at her.
"Did they send you to convince me? It sounds like you're taking their side and not understanding mine," I said, feeling defensive.
"Leia, I'm on your side, and I understand what you're going through. But by locking yourself in this room and not eating dinner or lunch, you're just punishing yourself," Daisy pointed out.
"I wasn't hungry," I defended myself.
"Yes, I can see how you eat unladylike," Daisy teased. I rolled my eyes at her comment.
"I'll eat in my room. I don't want to see those alphas or meet anyone. I hate the wolf realm," I grumbled. Daisy looked at me with a blank stare. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and my gaze snapped to see Sia holding a breakfast tray.
"I heard you haven't been eating for two days," Sia said, looking concerned. I blinked, surprised to see her, and couldn't think of anything to say as she placed the tray on the table.
"I didn't mean to cause you trouble, Leia, but I had to tell you a half-truth. My sons told me you have a curse, but I'm unsure how strong it is. They're also discovering the truth, and I am unaware of the past. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. Please eat, and don't be angry."
"I will eat," I said. I learned from Daisy that Sia was sick with an unknown illness, yet she still brought breakfast for me. I realized I had been putting my anger at the Alphas when Sia had done nothing to deserve it. Sia smiled as I ate breakfast, grateful for her kindness.
"Thank you, Luna, for knocking some sense into her," Daisy mumbled, and Luna Sia smiled at Daisy and me.
"Daisy, would you mind helping to prepare dinner? We have a guest coming over for dinner."
"Of course, Luna. I can cook alone if you want to rest," Daisy added.
"I have rested enough, dear. I just need to cook to put my mind at ease,"
Luna Sia replied.
"Who is the guest?" Daisy asked.
"Alpha Francis Perth and his wife, Leena, will be here," Luna Sia stated. The coffee mug slipped from my hand and broke into pieces. Daisy and Luna Sia looked at me. Daisy looked at me sympathetically, and Luna Sia's gaze was confused.
"What is going on?" Luna Sia asked, staring at Daisy and then at me. That's when I realized that Xavier and Kai didn't inform Sia about my first mate, Francis, who rejected me.
"Um… Nothing. It just slipped from my hand," I said. Sia sighed at my remark. "You and your mother, Jia, are not good liars, so spill. Is it something to do with Alpha Francis or his wife?" she asked, pinning me with an authoritative gaze. It was hard to lie to Sia.
"He was my first mate who rejected me," I muttered, and Sia's authoritative eyes turned into sympathetic ones as she walked up to me.
"It must have been hard on you. Rejections are difficult, my dear; I know well," Sia said. I looked away from Sia's gaze and at the window. Although it had been five years since my mate rejected me, it still felt like yesterday.
"Can I join the dinner tonight?" I asked.
"Of course, if you're okay with it," Sia said calmly.
"I think I am. No more running from it," I mumbled.
"I'm proud of you, Leia," Sia whispered, giving me a charming smile that put me at ease. She always gives motherly love and smiles, which warms my heart. Sia strolled out of my room, and Daisy stared at me.
"If you're not okay, you can stay in the room."
"No, Daisy. I've had enough of my past controlling me. I need to move on with my life. Hiding in the room just because of my past won't let me step up," I said, squaring my shoulders and finding the right outfit for tonight's dinner.
"Help me find the revenge dress," I ordered Daisy, who quickly jumped into action, helping me scan through my wardrobe.
"This red dress has off shoulders with a bodycon one," Daisy said. "I will help with your makeup, okay?" Daisy went to help with arranging things. I finished my work, waiting for dinner tonight.
******
Though I had confidently made plans in the morning, as the time to meet Alpha Francis drew nearer, my anxiety grew, and I paced back and forth in my room, waiting for Daisy to arrive.
"Come on, Leia, don't back down," I urged myself.
Finally, Daisy entered the room. She was dressed in a beautiful black gown and looked stunning. "Why aren't you dressed yet?" she asked, studying my face. "Are you having second thoughts?" I nodded.
"Come on, Leia; I'm proud of you. Don't let them win," Daisy encouraged me. Her words strengthened my resolve, and I wiped my tears and quickly changed into the red revenge dress.
"Damn, you look beautiful even without makeup," Daisy cheered, and I smiled at her. She curled my hair and applied pink lipstick, mascara, and smokey eyeshadow with a pink blush on my cheeks.
I gasped when I saw my reflection in the mirror. "You're an artist," I said.
"You're welcome, my lady. Let's go. " We're already late," Daisy said, and we headed downstairs. I could pick up the pine scent, indicating that Alpha Francis had arrived. Daisy held my hand; she must have noticed my trembling hands.
When we entered the dining room, Xavier was seated at the head of the table, with Kai on his right and Sia on his left. Vincent was also present, but my attention was drawn to Alpha Francis, who was staring at me, and his wife, Leena, gave me a subtle look of hatred.
"Sorry, we're late," Daisy said, breaking the silence. As I moved to take my seat, I could feel the eyes of Xavier, Kai, and Alpha Francis on me.
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Agnor," Alpha Francis said, breaking the tension.
"I don't think so, Alpha Francis Perth," I replied, sensing a difficult-to-understand emotion in his eyes. The air became tense at my unkind remark. "Shall we eat?" I added.
"Alpha Xavier and Alpha Kai, I didn't know Ms. Agnor was your sister," Alpha Francis said, attempting to diffuse the situation.
"If you had known they were my stepbrothers, you would still have considered taking me as a mate, even without my wolf," I said calmly, heightening the tension.
"Don't mind answering, Alpha Francis. I don't care, Leena. I heard you gave birth to Alpha Francis's heir. Congratulations to you both," I said, sipping on the wine and feeling pleased.
"Thank you," Leena replied, her voice forced.
"Enough of this chit-chat, Alpha Francis. How about we eat and discuss business? I suggest not directing the conversation towards Leia Agnor anymore," Xavier said in a bitter voice, warning me. I could see Kai's eyes holding fury, the grip on his fork was stronger and his knuckles turning white.
Alpha Francis and Leena looked startled by the scene. "Kai, come to my office," Xavier added. "Please continue the dinner." He excused himself and took Kai with him. Sia's eyes were calm, as if she knew how they would react. Vincent and Daisy looked calm. Did Kai get angry because of Alpha Francis's provocation?
I excused myself and walked to Xavier's office, feeling an inexplicable urge to do so. "Why didn't you let me punch that bastard's face?" Kai roared.
"Do you want to take revenge by just throwing a punch? Francis caused so much pain to Leia. We will both seek retribution for her. First, we must shake his business. Second, we make his pack members turn on him, and we kill him," Alpha Xavier said.
***********Leia - POV
I stepped away before they both caught me eavesdropping on their conversation. The air was awkward and tense when I returned to the dining room.
"Alpha Francis, I will walk you to our Alphas' office after dinner," Vincent said to Alpha Francis. I could feel Alpha Francis's subtle gaze on me and his wife's hateful glare.
"Let's go for a walk," Daisy suggested, noticing I was feeling stuffy. Sia accompanied Leena to discuss politics, and Daisy and I strolled outside while the night wind brushed our skin.
"Damn girl, you slayed Alpha Francis with your words; that asshole deserved it," Daisy smirked. I couldn't help but smile. "You remained calm and showed him his place."
"It felt nice that I could speak my mind to him. It was like unfinished business, but now it is closed. I can move on," I said, relieved that the burden of rejection no longer weighed on me.
"Daisy, is there a nightclub nearby? I need to unwind, dance my heart out, and maybe sleep with someone handsome," I asked. Daisy shook her head.
"No sleeping around, Leia. I don't want you to be a whore. How about dating someone decent?" Daisy said, and I showed her my middle finger.
"Why can't women have the freedom to enjoy sex? If I enjoy casual sex, I'm a whore, and if not, I'm a goody two shoes. I don't care what people think," I said, turning to meet Daisy's gaze.
"How about finding the right guy and settling down?" Daisy argued.
"I'm only twenty-three, too young to settle down. Just because you found your mate and settled down doesn't mean I should do the same," I snapped at Daisy, annoyed by her lectures.
"Leia, I want to see you happy. Casual sex is good for the moment, but then you wake up alone in a cold bed. I've seen you feel lonely without Vincent and my company. Don't you want someone to look after you?" Daisy said.
"You've spoiled my mood. I'll unwind alone," I grunted, and I looked at my phone for nearby locations. I strolled on the streets until I found a cab to the nightclub. When I left the cab, I saw a long queue to get into the nightclub.
"Shit, I hate waiting," I grumbled to myself.
"Hey, you're Leia, right?" I turned to see Ana, who spoke, and my eyes looked at Caroline standing along with Clara, Natasha, and Ivory, who had been spared punishment for gossiping because of my mercy.
"Ana, nice to see you here," I said, still waiting in the long queue.
"Are you alone?" Caroline asked.
"Yeah," I replied.
"Tag along with us," Ana said with a smile, and I hesitated.
"I think I'm good alone," I declined their offer. But Caroline held my hand.
"Come on, Kai will be angry with me if he finds out I let his sister stand in the queue," Caroline said, and I had no choice but to tag with their group. We didn't have to wait in the queue since Ana showed her a golden ticket to the bouncer that screamed VIP lounge.
The nightclub was loud with music, drinks, and people grinding against each other. Ana and Caroline took their seats, and Ivory, Natasha, and Clara looked at me with sober gazes. They were still scared to say anything to me.
"How did you meet Kai and Xavier?" I asked directly to Ana and Caroline.
"I met Kai while photographing for the Blackmoon co-operative magazine," Caroline said dreamily. "We hit it off, and Kai is amazing in every way, including in bed." I tried not to cringe at the mention of their intimate details.
"What about you, Ana?" I asked, cutting off Caroline's speech. I wasn't interested in listening to her bedroom adventures.
"I met Xavier in college; his mysterious air and wit had me fall head over heels for him. We dated for a year until he broke up with me to look after his pack as an Alpha. But we recently patched things up," Ana said, not divulging too much.
Unlike Caroline and Kai, Xavier seemed to be good with women. No wonder they both give me Playboy vibes.
"Come on, let's hit the dance floor," Caroline said, pulling Ivory, Natasha, Clara, and me. I wanted to dance to my heart's content, moving my hips, dancing with my drink, and stepping out to refill it.
I looked around the club filled with wolf shifters, but I didn't want to have any casual flings with them because I didn't appreciate guys who would scorn me for not being a shifter.
"Did you find any hot guys?" Caroline asked. "I see many guys looking your way. Check out at nine o'clock." I turned to see I had a little attention.
"Come on, girl, live your life," Caroline said, but Daisy's words about casual sex being just moments and not something for the long term haunted me.
"I think I'll pass," I said. Caroline nodded as she took off to the dance floor, dancing with Ivory, Natasha, Clara, and Ana. I was bored with the nightclub and missed Daisy, whose company and banter made me happy.
"Hi," an unfamiliar male voice said. "I couldn't help but notice how stunning you look. Would you allow me to take you out on a date and get to know you better?"
"I'm not looking for a one-night stand," I said bluntly.
"To be honest, I'm not looking for a one-night stand. I'm asking you on a date," the guy said, blinking at me. He looked handsome with his brown hair and blue eyes.
"Are you sure you want to date rather than f*ck me against the wall?" I asked, surprised that someone had asked me out on a date in a nightclub. This individual appeared to be sober and not drunk. He grinned.
"I'm interested in knowing you," he said.
"Don't you have a mate, or are you still looking for one?" I asked. "My mate rejected me," he said with no emotion, and his smirk disappeared for a few seconds.
"I'm Leia," I introduced myself, "I work as the secretary of Blackmoon co-operatives, and I'm a non-shifter." Eric didn't even flinch when hearing I was not a shifter.
"Eric, I'm from the Blackmoon pack, soon to be the Gamma. How about tomorrow for a date?"
"I'm free tomorrow," I replied, exchanging numbers with Eric. He said he'd text me the time and location of our date. I felt cool and delighted to have a date. We'll see how it goes. After saying goodbye to the others, I walked home.
As I strolled through the streets, I felt uneasy. I should have accepted Eric's offer to drive me home, but my stubbornness got in the way. A vehicle stopped beside me, and the window rolled down, revealing Alpha Francis.
"Leia, what are you doing by yourself? I can drop you off at home." I was not too fond of his scorching gaze as it roamed my body.
Leia - POV"You're still the Blackmoon Pack, Alpha Francis," I taunted, and he responded with a cold gaze."Why are you so stubborn and arrogant?" Alpha Francis asked as he got out of his vehicle, and a sense of dread set in. The calm night had turned cold and eerie, and he stood so close that I could feel his breath on my neck."I don't understand why you're provoking me and making it sound like a mistake. You rejected me as your mate, and we have no business with each other," I said. I stood firm before Alpha Francis, but I felt fear creeping in."Can I tell you the truth?" I nodded, maintaining my composure, and his lips curled up."I don't think you can handle it. But I can tell you one thing, Leia. I will bring you to my Pack.""I'm not interested. I'm not a wolf, remember? You rejected this wolfless woman." His eyes betrayed guilt at the mention of the event. I had expected him to smirk at me with a mocking look."I will make sure you come back.""Good luck with that because I h
Leia - POVAn urgent voice pierced through the silence of the mansion, startling me awake. I sat in bed, blinking my eyes checked the time. It was just after midnight."Xavier, get the shamans and Dylan and Gordon!" Kai's voice echoed through the halls, urgent and panicked."Mother, please don't leave us," Kai cried, his voice cracking with emotion. I climbed out of bed and hurried to the stairwell, where I could see the shamans rushing in. Two male wolves walked in with them, their postures exuding an aura of power. I followed them to Sia's room, where I could see that she looked weak, her heartbeat barely discernible.Despite not having known Sia for long, I panicked at seeing her so ill. Kai was worried, while Xavier remained calm, directing the shamans to examine Sia. The two men I'd seen earlier spoke with Xavier."Mr. Dylan Loafer and Mr. Gordon Cane. I need you both to find a cure, or the deal is off the table," Xavier said, his voice commanding and firm. I recognized the surn
Leia - POV The words of the old witch were as sharp as a knife, and each one hit me with force. "My father did what ___," I choked, tears brimming."Veronica, I told you not to be insensitive when you speak," Xavier warned her, and she sighed."It's all right, Xavier. I am fine." I held back my tears, not wanting to break down in front of anyone. It was better to cry alone in my room later."Tell me what happened to my mother. What do you mean by the Tiger clan attack, and why did my father have to sell his soul and explain my curse?" I took my seat opposite Veronica and looked directly into her brown eyes."Give me your hand to see the past," she said."Wait, you can see the past?" Kai asked in surprise."Not every detail, just small, dreadful events," Veronica added as I placed my hand in hers. She closed her eyes and sat straight, waiting to tell me what she saw, even if the little details could reveal something about the past lives of my parents and me."I see you were six years
Alpha Xavier - POV"Who the hell are you to ask me such a question?" I hissed, my voice sharp and biting. Ana met my gaze with an intensity that briefly betrayed her pain.I turned on my heel, intending to catch up with Leia and inquire about her health, but Ana's small hand halted my retreat."Xav, why are you stuck in the past?" she implored, her voice thick with emotion. "I regret what I did to you. Please give me a second chance." I yanked my hand out of her grasp, my irritation simmering beneath the surface."I can't trust you, Ana," I snapped, my tone clipped and cold. "You broke my trust and my heart a long time ago. If you think a contract marriage can rekindle those sparks, you're fucking dreaming."Ana's desperation only seemed to grow. She grasped my hand again, her eyes pleading. "I will do anything to regain your trust and forgiveness.""If you truly want my forgiveness," I countered, my patience fraying, "break the contract proposal. That will prove to me you've matured
Alpha Kai - POVBefore I drove to Human City, I wanted to stop by the restaurant where Leia had planned a date with Eric. As much as I wanted Leia to date no one, I couldn't impose my feelings on her when I was engaged to other women. Who was I to meddle in her life?As I entered the restaurant, many heads bowed to me in respect, acknowledging me as their Alpha. Leia's eyes stared at me, as if my appearance captivated her. I felt happy that her attention was on me as I made my way to their table, and my wolf was happily purring at the attention."Alpha, what brings you here?" Leia asked with a dazed voice. Although I wanted to stare at her beautiful face, I had to keep my emotions in check, as many people were around. Even though they were pack members, you never know who could be a traitor in my pack and leak information to our enemies about my interest in Leia. I care about Leia so much that I can't publicly express my emotions."I have worked with Vincent," I lied. Vincent raised h
Leia - POVVincent had left, and I gave Daisy a subtle glare to indicate that it was time for her to go so I could spend some alone time with Eric. However, Daisy seemed oblivious to my hint and continued to chat with Eric, filling our date with stories of her and Vincent's antics in the office. It was frustrating, considering that she was the one who had pushed me to go on this date in the first place. When we arrived at the Mansion, Daisy finally excused herself and left for her home, knowing full well that I was not pleased with her behavior. "Eric, I'm sorry our date didn't go well," I sighed, disappointed."We can always reschedule," Eric said with a polite smile, but I couldn't help feeling like he was brushing me off."Are you not interested in me?" I asked, sensing a lack of enthusiasm on his part."Why would you say that, Leia?" Eric asked, looking puzzled."Listen, Eric. I've ghosted and dumped many guys who used the same tone as you," I said, crossing my arms and staring a
Leia - POVKai carried Sia's unconscious body and carefully laid her in bed while Xavier, Witch Veronica, and I followed closely behind. The words spoken by Sia stirred a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts in my mind and heart, making it difficult to calm myself down. However, I tried to focus on Sia's well-being instead of breaking down. Veronica utilized her magic to check Sia's health, causing a concerned frown on Kai and Xavier's brows as they witnessed their mother's condition."I should have known," Veronica sighed, and we looked at her inquisitively. "I can't believe I forgot about this." Veronica gently took the book from Sia's tightly gripped hand and again used her magic."This book has brought back Sia's erased memories. She only had fragmented recollections of Nas and never knew why Nas and Leia were exiled from the pack. Reo ensured your mother didn't suffer, thinking she had a chance to stay with him, and Nas robbed her of this opportunity. The betrayal of Nas could hav
Leia - POV"Leia, go to your room. If you don't, I will pick you up myself," Xavier said sternly after asking me to ignore Kai's hurtful words. I don't know why I care about Kai. I hardly know Kai and Xavier, but it sometimes feels like more than a normal bond."Leia, you won't listen," Xavier's voice broke me out of the stupor."Well, Leia, you are having trouble deciding," Veronica interrupted, glancing at the dining room door where Kai had left after arguing with Xavier about not letting me stay around or even keeping me at the job, despite my proficiency."Leia!" Veronica called again, and I stood zoning out while Xavier looked at me with concern."Sorry. What were you saying?" I asked, refocusing my attention."I suggested to Alpha Xavier that he let you go with me to witch land," Veronica said. I blinked at her, puzzled. "The reason is to identify if you have supernatural or human.""I'll come with you," I agreed, and Veronica smirked, pleased by my response."Leia, you are not
Leia's POVKai's message flashed on my phone, "Where are you?"I quickly typed back, "Can both of you come to my room? We need to discuss something important."Moments later, there was a knock on my door. Kai and Xavier stepped in, their faces etched with concern.Xavier was the first to speak. "You said you wanted to talk. Please don't say you're thinking of leaving us." His voice trembled slightly, betraying his worry.Kai added, "When you mention 'we need to talk' in a message, it's usually not a good sign. It often means someone's ending things." He looked at me with apprehensive eyes.Taking a deep breath, I replied, "First off, both of you, calm down. I have no intention of leaving either of you."Seeing them still anxious, I continued, "There's just something important I need to share."Xavier, trying to mask his relief with a casual tone, inquired, "So, what's it about?"I took a deep breath and presented them with the pregnancy test results. Their eyes went wide as they tried
Leia – POVIt was back to business after returning from a romantic honeymoon with my mates. I headed to the Human realm with Xavier to finalize a crucial deal with another company. Meanwhile, Kai had his hands full at Bluewood Corporation, attempting to rectify the financial mess left behind by Francis, who had embezzled a significant amount from unsuspecting investors. Kai would be stationed in San Francisco for several days while Xavier and I remained in New York to seal our business deal."Leia, have you gotten the agreement for the deal ready?" Xavier inquired, his gaze fixated on mine, searching for affirmation."Yes, it's all set," I responded, carrying the agreement file to the conference room. We were on a tight schedule, and the conference room was waiting. It was time to present the revisions our team had made to the project in line with our client's requirements. The fate of our deal depended on their approval, and I was the one to deliver the presentation."You seem nervou

Enjoy your reading!Leia's POVXavier reached for a small remote, and with a click, the bed transformed. It no longer resembled an ordinary bed but one designed for kinks. A soft, eerie red light added an intense aura to the room."Before we begin," Xavier began, holding up a choker delicately designed with bondage rope, "Kai and I crafted this together." I knew that a choker was more than just an accessory; it symbolized respect and submission to a Dom or a master. It felt similar to the brand I wore. I chose to wear it, wanting to display my unwavering respect for Xavier and Kai, my mates who excelled in everything they did.His emerald eyes locked onto mine, a challenge evident in his gaze. "Are you certain you want to proceed, Leia?"Swallowing my nervousness, I met his stare resolutely. "I'm ready, Dom," I whispered.A teasing smirk graced his face, but i
Kai – POV Waking up next to Leia was an indescribable sensation. My heart was buoyed by her presence and a recent encounter in the soul realm with my late father. He had given me sage advice: cherish every moment with Leia and always be there for Xavier. My bond with both Leia and Xavier was irreplaceable. As these thoughts swirled, I gently caressed Leia's cheek. She opened her sleepy eyes, and our lips met in a brief, tender kiss. "Good morning," she murmured. She noticed Xavier's empty spot and added, "He must be at training already." "Seems like it," I replied, climbing out of bed. I had my own training to attend. Staying fit was a priority, and I could feel Leia's gaze as I dressed. "Your eyes are giving you away, Leia," I teased, catching her naughty stare. She blushed, retorting, "Am I that obvious?" Her satin pajamas hinted at her flawless figure, becoming even more evident as she stretched and approached me, wrapping her arms around my waist as I combed my hair. "Do we ha
Leia - POVI woke up with a throbbing headache, surrounded by my mates. It was a breathtaking sight—Xavier and Kai lay beside me, their features bathed in the gentle light of dawn. Their chiseled features and toned muscles glistened under the soft sunlight. It felt like I'd won the lottery having such handsome Alpha mates all to myself. Trying not to gawk, I stroked Kai's and Xavier's hair simultaneously. Suddenly, my hand was gently seized as Xavier's emerald eyes and Kai's rich brown ones fixed on me with intense scrutiny."Good morning," I managed, my face burning with embarrassment.Releasing my wrist, Kai and Xavier leaned in, kissing my cheeks tenderly. Their voices, thick with sleep, murmured their morning greetings. The warmth of their actions filled my heart."You look exhausted. Didn't you sleep well?" Xavier inquired with genuine concern."I believe I connected with Sia last night," I revealed, instantly drawing Kai and Xavier's attention.Kai's voice grew urgent. "What did
Leia–POVToday was the day to fight the candidates and select the kingdom's rightful ruler. I dressed in my fighting attire, ensuring it was flexible enough for quick movements. I checked myself in the mirror and tied my red hair into a ponytail. A wave of excitement coursed through me. It wasn't just my love for fighting that stirred these feelings; Kai's love for combat seemed to rub off on me. And just like Xavier always tweaked things to his vision, I changed the format of this challenge at the very last moment."Are you ready, Your Majesty?" Lily asked as she entered my room.I nodded, following her to the arena. The candidates, dressed in their fighting gear, waited. As I stood at the center, the blare of a horn signaled the start of the duel. Han was my first opponent. He was a Witcher, melding swordplay and magic in his fighting style. Although he tried, his attacks felt slow, especially since I'd trained with Xavier, a swift fighter. I quickly overcame Han, holding my dagger
Leia's POVI woke up feeling fresh, and the voice in my head stopped as I drifted to sleep and rolled out of bed. The door opened to find my mates walking in. Kai was holding the breakfast tray, and Xavier held a dress for me in hand, and I raised an eyebrow at them."Good morning," I muttered, and they smiled in return, saying their greetings and kissing my forehead one by one. "What a special occasion," I asked."You must have breakfast and get ready to meet the new candidates," Xavier said, showing me the gowns and his muscular muscles flexing in a half t-shirt without his intention of showing off. I gulped, seeing his strong arms and the beautiful dress in his hands showing it off."Do you like it?" Xavier asked in a husky purr, and I blushed, as he noticed my eyes trailing his body. Kai scoffs with jealousy at placing the breakfast in front of me, and I chuckle at Kai's fake pout."You stare at me, and I can strip for you." Kai purred."Not here. You guys make me lose my focus."
Leia – POV"I don't believe so, Queen Heather," a voice from the crowd challenged. A woman with brown hair and onyx eyes fixed her gaze on me. "This lady has brought forth a legitimate concern. I'm not pleased with how Queen Heather has ruled. She's stripped many privileges from common witches and those higher up.""You're the only one siding with Luna Leia," Queen Heather retorted, her eyes flashing dangerously at the defiant woman."I stand with her too, Queen Heather," another woman voiced. Slowly, more hands were raised in agreement. Queen Heather looked visibly shaken as the crowd expressed their dissent."Kill them all!" she ordered, but the guards remained unmoved."Didn't you hear me?" Queen Heather shrieked at the guards, but they stood their ground."I apologize, Your Majesty," one guard began, "but when those in power, including the high-ranking witches, revolt against you, we cannot obey your commands." Heather's fury was palpable. She rose into the air, powered by her mag
Leia – POV"Remove her handcuffs. I'd like to hear her side," Queen Heather commanded. At her order, the female guard unlocked my wrists. I retrieved a piece of paper from my pocket, glancing at it for reference."I need to correct the narrative that's been spun by your queen, Heather," I began, meeting her gaze. "The late Queen Veronica made an alteration to her will. She added a clause stating that if the citizens of this realm are dissatisfied with her lineage's rule, I have the authority to step in and nominate a successor." I watched as Heather's face contorted with displeasure. "Jennifer was an influential witch, and she was close to Queen Veronica. Jennifer knew about this clause, and was summoned by the Council of Witches to validate it, providing evidence she possessed. But, when she arrived at the council chamber, five members of the witch council were found dead, and she was falsely accused of the crime. They further tarnished my reputation by claiming I had ordered Jennife
