Chapter Forty-four
Alex POV.
It's been 6 days and I am a mess. I have broken my promise, to always protect her and keep her safe. Of course, we have a pretty good idea of who has her. But our spy can’t find her at their pack lands. And they don’t find her scent anywhere. I can’t even feel her through our completed matebond. We are guessing it’s because of dark magic, as we are sure he doesn’t want to kill her but use her to their benefit.
Hunter is in rage. And I have to sleep in the dungeons at night so he can’t take control. Don’t get me wrong, I am in a rage too, but I know we need to be smart about how we do this. Or maybe they will kill her, just to stop her from coming home. Hunter tries again and again to contact Moon, but we think they are using silver or wolfbane to keep her down.
I am sitting in my own thought in the tv room when a familiar voice says.
“Alex, I am so sorry to hear about your mate.” I turn my head and see Koa standing in the door and get up.
