Chapter Forty-eight

Lina POV.

I feel myself being sucked back into my body. The chilling but comfortable air is being replaced by an even more comfortable but warm air. I feel the sparks on my hand, which always make me calm. I feel the breath that hits my fingers. And then I slowly open my eyes.

I look down at my hand and see a sleeping Alex holding it in his hand, that is why I feel the sparks. He looks exhausted, tired, and as if he has not been eating much. I try to move so I lay more comfortably, but I did not realize how sore my body is, a whimper leaves my lips, making Alex stir and wake up.

Alex looks up and sees me looking at him, he jumps to his feet looking at me we find the eyes of each other and just look at each other.

“Lina, beautiful. How are you feeling”
