"What the fuck are you doing here?" Kira questioned Damien impatiently as soon as he walked into her room.
She dropped the few clothes she had in her hands on the bed quickly and turned to face him directly with her arms folded across her chest.
"I came here to talk to you Kira," Damien replied, maintaining a calm look on his face.
Kira immediately rolled her eyes. Dhe believed that the only reason he came here was to talk about what had happened between them a few nights ago and probably tell her what she already knew and she wasn't ready to feel even more embarrassed than she already was so she had no intention of listening to him.
If he really wanted to say anything positive to her, he would have definitely come to her the night after what happened between them happened or rather, he would have shown the very next morning to speak to her but instead, he went over to Sheila first and now he was coming over to her to probably tell her that what happened between them was a mistake and she was not ready to hear that from him cause that would only make her even more upset, disgusted and disappointed.
"What could you possibly want to say to me Damien? Is there really anything else to say cause I don't think so," she said to him, visibly uninterested in whatever it is he had to say to her and immediately going back to folding her clothes.
As much as she didn't want to hear him talk about what had happened between them, she also decided it would be better for her to just give him a listening ear just in case she was jumping into conclusions and what he had to say had absolutely nothing to do with what had happened.
"I actually came here to talk about a few things but I'm not too sure on which one I should begin with but I think I should start with the one I feel is less complicated...," he was saying but an impatient Kira quickly chimed in.
"Do me a favour Damian and just get to whatever brought you here cause I don't have all day to listen to you making up your mind on what to start with," Kira hissed, visibly irritated with him.
Damien wasn't really expecting her reaction and it kind of bothered him that she looked so nonchalant and irritated by him but he decided to just shrug it off and get to what brought in here.
"So concerning the vampires, something actually came to mind and I've been bothered by it for a while now," Damien began.
"I thought about it for a while and it actually occurred to me that these vampires are not that different from us. Aside the fact that they have the ability to heal much faster than we do and maybe the fact that they are pretty fast and difficult to detect, I don't see any other difference between us just yet at least from the little I know about them,"
"So I've been thinking of this all through yesterday and then I came to realize that what actually makes them different is they are more dangerous is the fact that they're actually determined to kill everyone of us at least from what we've seen so far and that's what's bothering me. For all we know, these so-called vampires or whatever have probably been existing for a really long time now and we've never heard of them coming at us in all this while so what I'm bothered about is the sudden reason why they want to kill everyone of our kind, like what could be the reason behind their plotting? Cause I strongly believe there's more to this," Damien said, voicing out his conclusion.
"So what exactly is it you're trying to say Damien? Be clear," Kira demanded.
"I'm not really trying to say anything too serious. I'm just pointing out the fact that it's weird that they're coming after us all of a sudden and I think something may have triggered their sudden hatred for us and what that is is what I'm curious about but then again, I get that's not very important at the moment but it just occurred to me and I decided to share," Damien explained and Kira sighed.
"Is there something else you have to say?" she asked, noticing that he still looked like he had more to say.
"Yes actually there's something else I want to point out and it's the fact that I really think we have a spy amongst us and I'm suspecting that the person is from my pack. I know it might sound absurd and all but I really think there is someone giving out our information and the person had to be from my side," he stated.
Kira furrowed her brows. "How are you so sure?" she asked.
"It's not that I'm sure or anything but I tried thinking through it and to be honest I doubt that whoever the spy is is someone from your pack because we haven't been in your space for too long so he certainly has to be someone from my pack. My confusion now is, why are they suddenly attacking your pack and no longer attacking mine and which pack will they decide to attack next? These thoughts have been running through my mind and I'm also very curious to know how they intend to wipe each and every one of us out because I'm very certain that they have something up their sleeves and I don't think it's something that we can simply guess," Damien explained.
Kira sighed tiredly. She knew that Damien was making a lot of sense but she still felt frustrated with the entire situation and at this point, she was just getting fed up.
"To be honest with you Damien, I honestly don't know what to do at this point or what to think anymore cause I'm so lost and confused. I know for a fact that this is something I can't give up on which is why I'm still trying to figure things out but it's getting way too complicated and tiring for me and I'm honestly just frustrated," Kira confessed tiredly as she sat on her bed with her head hanging low.
In the last couple of days, she has been trying to come up with solutions and ideas that will help them get to the bottom of all of this but nothing has been coming to mind and even when something popped up, it eventually does not make any sense to her and all of these thoughts are just starting to frustrate her at this point because she doesn't know what else to do and she feels like she can't give up on it because thousands of lives depend on her decision.
She tried putting herself in her father's shoes to think of what he would have done in her place but it did not work as nothing came to mind and the fear of failure was all she could think of.
Damian noticed the worried look on her face and decided to move closer to her. He took her hands in his gently and even when she tried pushing his hands off his, he made sure to hold on to her hands very tightly so she wouldn't be able to let go.
"Look at me Kira," he said to her but she quickly refused.
"Just look at me Kira," he demanded and this time she did look at him.
For some weird reason, as soon as he laid his eyes on her, he could tell what was going through her mind and he knew that he had to say something to calm her down and encourage her.
"I know all of this is tiring but I can assure you that everything will be fine eventually. If you're afraid of him failing to do what you believe you have to do, then be rest assured that if it won't happen Kira because you're not the type to fail, especially not after you've set your mind on something," he said, squeezing her hands a little.
Kira's eyes welled with tears. "It's not just the fact that I'm scared of failing, it's also the fact that I'm scared of making a wrong decision that could cost so many people their lives and the thought alone is...," she stuttered nervously and Damien quickly stopped her from talking so she doesn't end up crying even more.
"Relax yourself Kira," he said.
"You really need to calm yourself Kira and stop thinking that you can't make the right decisions because that is not true. Have you even met you? You are one of the smartest people I have ever met and this is me being completely honest with you and I doubt that someone like you would ever make a wrong decision that will end up putting anyone in danger. So please, stop thinking that you're going to make mistakes or do something wrong because I am certain that will never happen. You can do this Kira and that is why I have so much admiration and respect for you as a person," he said to her and he meant every word he had said.
Kira suddenly felt shivers down her spine. Her lips parted slightly as she looked into his eyes before she quickly snapped out of it. He was talking about his respect for her and yet, he had gone to meet another woman the very next morning after he had been with her.
She removed her hands from his and instinctively, she pushed him as hard as she could so he could fall and as she hoped for, he fell backwards with his butt hitting the floor hard.
"Fuck! What was that for?" Damien asked perplexed and Kira simply stared back at him with a proud look on her face.
"Are you seriously asking me what it was for? What are you even doing here Damien? Why are you even here?" Kira asked in anger. She knew she sounded crazy but she couldn't help the rage that she felt at that moment. Staring at Damien only made her feel foolish and used and she could not hide her anger towards him. "I only came here to talk, Kira. Nothing else," he replied and Kira couldn't help but roll her eyes. The fact that he just said that to her only made her even angrier and she didn't even bother masking her disdain. "You came here to talk right? Fine then, that makes sense so it's perfectly fine by me. Now that you're done saying whatever it is you wanted to say, how about you do both of us a favour by leaving? I'd really appreciate it if you used the door," she said to him, using her index finger to show him the direction of the door. The skin betwee
Ever since Kira woke up, she had been staring aimlessly at the ceiling, trying to not be affected by what had happened between Damien and her just a few hours ago. She tried everything she could to keep the thoughts out of her head so that she could focus solely on what she should do next. While Kira had these thoughts on her mind, Damien was fast asleep beside her, snoring softly with his legs out of the duvet and a part of his bare butt hanging out of the duvet that only partly covered his naked body.Kira's eyes finally moved away from the ceiling after what felt like hours of her staring blankly at the ceiling. As much as she was trying not to get affected by everything that just happened, she was deeply affected. She disliked the fact that she constantly had to remind herself that Damien had another woman and that everything that just happened between them was simply one sided and that he didn't feel the
The question Draco asked wasn't exactly a surprising question but for some reason, Damien still found the question difficult to answer as he did not know exactly what it was that he was feeling. He had come to accept that he had fallen for Kira and what he felt for Sheila couldn’t be compared to what he felt for Kira but even though he knew all that, he still couldn’t bear the mere thought of letting Sheila go.He already admitted to himself that it was selfish of him to be so indecisive about everything and the fact he didn’t want to hurt any of the women because of how much he cared about both of them made him feel frustrated with himself.“You know Damien that you and I have been friends since forever now and I can confidently say that I know you like I know myself and you also know very well that you can lie to everyone else in the world but not to yourself bro. Now, the reason I'm sayin
The skin between Damien’s brows creased in confusion. “Go on Kira, I’m listening. Just tell me once and for all what exactly is going on and be clear with me,” he insisted, wanting her to tell him so he knew what he had done wrong. He was very sick and tired of the whole back-and-forth that they've been having all this while and the fact that she wasn't even saying anything to him and instead, just keep flaring up at him at every opportunity that she got was something that was wearing him out both physically and emotionally and he needed to hear from her what exactly he had done wrong. Kira scoffed. She couldn’t believe he was asking her to keep talking when he could sense that her voice was literally shaking and the fact that he sounded so nonchalant, almost as though he was just waiting to listen to whatever she had to say, made her even angrier than she already felt. It was almost as if he had no remorse whatsoever and he was only trying to listen to her just because he wanted t
"Kira dear, are you okay?" Aunt Layla asked as soon as she walked into Kira's room. She had knocked a few times but when she didn't get any response, she decided to check for herself to be sure that Kira was doing okay. She happened to run into Kira earlier and she could immediately sense that something was wrong with her even though Kira had denied it. "Kira, can you hear me?" she asked again when she noticed that Kira wasn't responding to her. When Kira said nothing, she quickly moved closer to her and tapped her a little aggressively to snap her out of her thoughts. Kira is shocked to see her auntie in front of her as she did not see anyone coming in. "When did you get in here auntie and how did you get in?" she asked, and her question only made Layla even more worried. "Are you being serious with me right now Kira? Did you really not notice when I walked in? I knocked on the door a few times and when you weren't responding, I decided to check up on you to make sure that you wer
Kira had been sneaking glances at Damien any chances she got. After her conversation with her aunt yesterday, she had decided to think things through and hear from Damien. Anytime Damien turned to meet her eyes, she would immediately look away to avoid getting caught staring too much. They were currently having a meeting but she could barely remember anything that had been said because the only thing that she had been thinking about all the while, was Damien and she wasn't paying attention to anything else but him. Kira stood in front of Damien's room as she contemplated whether or not it was a good idea to even be here. She wanted to knock on the door and speak to him but she was feeling nervous and she wasn't confident that speaking to him would be a good idea. She had tried very hard to contain herself in the last few days even though she wanted to speak to Damien desperately and clarify the situation between them. She still remembered his confession to her very clearly but she just didn't have it in her to believe him because of everything that had happened between them since they met.According to what her aunt had told her, everyone else around them could sense the tension between them and Layla had advised her to settle the situation with him as soon as possible because of how awkward things were for people around them. Kira also wanted to hear from Damien and she was hoping that he would approach her first since she didn't dare to approach him but seeing how he wasn't making any attemp
Kira was taken aback when she heard Damien's words. He had just blatantly confessed that he had feelings for her but the fact that she heard it from him felt so weird and unbelievable. She was finding it difficult to accept his words not because she didn't want them to be true but because she just couldn't bring herself to think that he was actually being serious and that he genuinely had feelings for her. She and Damien had a pretty rocky start and unfortunately for her, she found herself falling for him without even realising it. After the stunt he pulled the last time, she thought things were certainly never going to work out but hearing him say he felt the same way she did felt good but at the same time, scary. She took in a deep breath and exhaled. “Are you sure you have feelings for me or perhaps you're confusing the bond we have for actual feelings?” she asked, wanting a genuine response. Damien looked into her eyes. He knew it might catch her off guard but he wanted her
It’s been over a week since Damien and Kira confirmed their feelings towards each other, even though they hadn't publicly announced it to anyone. They also did not confirm the status of their relationship with each other because they were still fixated on sorting out the situation concerning the vampires, and they felt like their relationship could wait for a while since their feelings for each other had already been confirmed. The plan to attack the vampires was coming together properly and everyone had made sure to put in their hundred percent because they knew they could not afford to fail. They also made sure that security was tight enough for both packs thankfully, there was no sign of an attack from the vampires and both packs were currently peaceful. “What do you say, babe?” Damien asked Kira, who was busy trailing her fingers around his chest.“Say about what?” Kira questioned, not knowing what he had said since she wasn't paying attention. “I said, do you want to go to a
Sheila's eyes burned with rage and desperation as her eyes stayed fixated on the room Kira's aunt resided in. She had made sure to confirm the room first so that she didn't end up making any mistakes and now that she was completely sure, she had no intention of losing sight of her target. After her worst nightmare of letting Damien slip through her fingers came to pass, she then made up her mind that she wasn't going to get hurt alone. She was also going to make Kira go through similar pain and that was only going to happen if she could successfully get rid of the person who is closest to Kira, who was none other than her aunt. She had made sure to come in an appropriate disguise so that nobody would recognise her because she wasn't ready for people to find out who she was just yet. She was wearing a black outfit coupled with a black hood and a mask to cover her face. She thought it would be slightly difficult to get in but lucky for her, the guards had let their guard down and she
