Astrid’s POV:

Alpha Dominic didn’t pay any attention to me following him, even though I felt he would just turn around and give me his famous angry look with every step. He walked across the library room and into the narrow hallway, where a hidden red door awaited him behind the bookshelf. With a gentle touch, it slid to the side, and he hurriedly entered. I followed suit swiftly, fearing the door would close behind me. The air of secrecy and his strange behavior filled me with unease, and there was an underlying dread that whatever awaited me inside could hurt me badly. Why would Alpha keep someone in a secret passage?!
