Georgia’s POV

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Lucy was never going to stop tormenting me. Every chance she got, she reminded me of how miserable I was. At this stage of my pregnancy, I needed peace, something I would never find in that house.

I was already in my ninth month, my body heavy with the weight of the life growing inside me.

As for Kael, he hadn’t contacted me, nor had he come looking for me. It didn’t bother me anymore. My only concern now was giving my unborn child the best. And to accomplish that, I needed to leave.

This environment wasn’t safe for me, and it certainly wasn’t safe for my child. My brothers understood. They had defended me countless times, but even they knew they wouldn’t always be around to shield me. They saw the pain in my eyes, the silent suffering I endured daily. They didn’t want me to go, but they knew I had to.

So I left, with nothing but a small bag and the determination to start over. I didn’t have a destination in mind. I just nee

Georgia’s POV One of the doctors injected me as I slumped, my body too weak to fight the encroaching darkness. The last thing I heard was muffled voices and the beeping of machines before everything faded to black. When I opened my eyes again, I was staring at a white ceiling. I blinked, trying to move, but my body felt very weak like it wasn’t mine “The injection has made her unconscious for 48 hours.” I heard. I turned my head slightly and saw a man in a white coat standing beside my bed. “You’re awake,” he said. “How are you feeling?” I tried to answer, but no words came out. My throat was dry, my mind blank. He must have noticed my struggle because he gently placed a cup of water near my lips. I took a few small sips, the cool liquid soothing my throat, but still, I couldn’t form a response. “You’ve been unconscious for 48 hours.” He Said. He studied me for a moment before asking, “Do you remember your name?” I searched my mind for an answer, but nothing came. It was like

Kael’s POVFor months, my life had been consumed by one meeting after another. Every day brought new challenges, disputes, and responsibilities that demanded my attention. As the leader of my pack, it was my duty to ensure stability, fairness, and strength. There was little room for rest, and even less for personal matters.Ethan who was now my collaborator on the other hand had informed me months ago about his father’s passing. I remembered the call clearly, the grief he tried to mask. I had sent my condolences, acknowledging his loss, but I never visited. It wasn’t that I didn’t care. I had simply been too caught up in the endless demands of leadership. Georgia on the other hand, I had let her be and free. I didn’t try to contact her, I knew she wouldn’t forgive me and I also didn’t bother asking after her.Perhaps, if I were honest with myself, I also avoided it for another reason. Grief had a way, and I had no desire to be reminded of my own losses. Facing Georgia would mean ackno

Georgia’s POVI woke up to the ringing of the phone vibrating against the bedside table, pulling me from sleep as I reached for it and one of the nurses whom I shared a room with handed me the phone.“Hello?” I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.“Good morning.”The voice on the other end chuckled. “Congratulations! My boss approved your application , and I’m happy to inform you that you’ve been selected for the position.”“Oh my God, thank you! Thank you so much!”“We’re looking forward to having you on board. As for your first day, a car will come to pick you up. Please send us your address after this call.”“I will, absolutely,” I said.“Great. Welcome to the team.”The call ended, and for a moment, I just sat there, staring at my phone in disbelief. It was happening so fast. It was less than 24 hours.I sent my address immediately. Not long after, a sleek, black car pulled up in front of the apartment. The driver, a well-dressed man in a crisp suit, stepped out and opened t

Georgia’s POVThe steady hum of the heart monitor was the first thing I noticed when I woke up. My eyelids fluttered open, adjusting to the lighting of the hospital room. My body ached, but it was a dull, distant pain. The surgery had been successful. I was alive. The door creaked open, breaking me from my thoughts. A man stepped in. He was dressed in a sharp, tailored suit. I didn’t recognize him.He spoke to the doctors. “Is there any more balance to be paid for the surgery?”The doctor shook his head. “No, Mr. KD. Everything has been taken care of.”My breath hitched at the name. Mr. KD?It was then that realization struck. This wasn’t just some benefactor, he was supposed to be my new boss, the man I had been set to work under as his personal assistant. Then the doctor turned to me with a smile.“You should say thank you to Mr. KD. He covered all your medical bills.”I stared at the man in front of me.Swallowing the lump in my throat, I struggled to sit up, ignoring the stiffne

Georgia’s POVOnce I was done filling in the information on the Google Sheet, I sat back in the chair. I had been waiting for Mr. KD to come downstairs, but he never did.A sigh escaped me as I glanced toward the grand staircase, but I dismissed the idea of calling out to him. He wasn’t the kind of man who liked interruptions. I had quickly learned that since stepping into this house. Mr. KD was a man of few words, always straight to the point. No small talk, no pleasantries, always minding his business. He doesn’t even chitchat with me.Deciding I had waited long enough, I stood and picked up the laptop. The elevator was the fastest way up. Stepping inside, I pressed the button for the top floor, the numbers ascending as a smooth chime accompanied each level. When the doors finally slid open, I was met with the sight of his room door at the far end. I hesitated before stepping out. I made my way there. This was my first time coming to his room. Something about it made my pulse quicke

Kael’s POVHearing her say her name to be Georgia struck something inside me. Considering she couldn’t remember her past, I couldn’t make any sense of the feeling.I leaned back in my leather chair, fingers drumming against the armrest as I processed the strange reaction her name had triggered. Something didn’t add up. If she had no recollection of who she was, then why did she bear Georgia?Shaking the thought away, I reached for my phone and dialed my secretary.“Sir?”“Lisa, I need you to send me my PA’s file, the one she used when she applied for the job.”A brief silence followed before she responded, “Sir… Georgia never submitted an application.”I frowned. “What do you mean she never submitted one?”“Exactly that, sir. I interviewed her and she was up to the task and you suggested I employ her.”I sat up straighter, my grip tightening on the phone. “That’s not possible. Check again.”“I already have, sir,” she said, her tone professional yet cautious. “Her personnel file doesn’

Georgia’s POVThe moment we stepped into the extravagant banquet hall, I felt the weight of a hundred eyes turning toward us. Everyone was dressed in their most expensive attire. “Stand straight, don’t slouch,” KD murmured under his breath as we strode forward. His sharp hazel eyes moved toward me briefly before returning to the sea of guests waiting to greet him. “Try not to embarrass yourself within the first five minutes.”That was too harsh, coming from a man who had just spent the entire car ride here smirking at me like I was his personal entertainment for the evening.“I’m sorry sir,” I huffed under my breath, adjusting the strap of my evening clutch while maintaining what I hoped was a confident expression. For some reasons, I felt here looked familiar. As if I had been here before.I was here as his personal assistant, nothing more, nothing less. My job was to follow him, smile when necessary, and most importantly not make a fool of myself.“Ah, Kael! You made it!” A tall, b

Georgia’s POVI couldn’t understand why I had made such a huge mess at that party. And I couldn’t piece together why. And then, suddenly, memories of Lucy began to flash through my mind. It was as if I had seen her before, known her from somewhere beyond just passing glances at that party. My head throbbed with the intensity of it, a strange familiarity settling over me. Where had I met her? Why did my gut twist every time I remember her face?I shut my eyes tightly, pressing my fingers against my temples, willing my mind to sort through the fragments of my past. And then, like a dam breaking, I remembered everything.Lucy wasn’t just some manipulative stranger trying to stir up trouble. She was my step-sister. The very girl I had grown up with, the one who had always found a way to stand above me, to make me feel small, insignificant. And Damien… my ex-husband. The man who had once held my heart in a clenched fist, only to squeeze until there was nothing left but shattered pieces. T

Georgia's POVI would rather leave here willingly instead of being thrown out from my own house. Damien had been playing his game for far too long, and I had finally reached my limit. His coldness, his manipulation, the constant feeling of being trapped in a place that no longer felt like home had all worn me down. I left the bed and stood in front of the mirror earlier, staring at the reflection of someone who was no longer sure who they were, wondering how I had let it all slip away. The person staring back at me was someone who had accepted far too many things that weren’t right, things I should never have let slide. And now, it has come to this. I was too soft, too weak."If I’m going to be treated like this in my own damn house," I muttered to myself, fists clenched at my sides, "then maybe it’s better I leave and never come back."But where do I go?Damien had taken everything from me, my father’s company, the inheritance, every penny I had thought would belong to me and Lucy.

Georgia's POVSuddenly, there was a screeching sound that came from behind me, it was sharp and terrifying, and deafening. My heart hammered in my chest, my breath catching in my throat as the sound of the car tyre tearing against the asphalt filled the air. I whipped around, but before I could fully process what was happening, the car hit me as I fell on the tiled floor with injuries covering every part of my body. It happened so fast.A sharp, intense pain shot through my body. My vision blurred, but I could stIll see the headlights of the car. My body felt cold, as though I was no longer part of the world I had been walking in only moments ago.Pain. Unbearable pain. It felt like every inch of my body was on fire. My limbs ached, my chest crushed. The impact from the car had rattled every bone, and the pain coursing through me was more than just physical. More like I was bleeding internally, all-consuming. I could feel my consciousness slipping away, my body betraying me, sinking

Georgia’s POVThe children had been bathed, fed, and tucked into their beds. They were now asleep. Then I stepped out, pulling the door shut with a soft click so as to avoid waking them. It was already getting dark. The hallway was lit, the overhead bulbs shining slightly as I walked. I rubbed my tired shoulders, stretching my body from exhaustion as the memory between me and the kids played in my head, causing me to smile. The time I spent here, even if only as a volunteer, made everything worth it.The orphanage had a way of wrapping itself around my heart, maybe because I saw pieces of myself in these kids, maybe because I knew what it felt like to crave a place to belong. Either way, I didn’t regret signing up to help.As I stepped outside, the cool evening breeze kissed my skin. The sky had darkened into a deep indigo as I checked my time to see it was 6:30PM. I sighed, stretching my arms before slinging my bag over my shoulder, ready to make my way home. That was when I notice

Kael’s POVShortly after he left, the sound of the door opening pulled me from my thoughts. I turned, my eyes settling on Lydia who strolled in majestically as her gaze was on me. What does she want now?Her red hair cascaded in soft waves down her back, the deep black of her gown flowing around her as she moved. She was as beautiful as ever, a goddess among Lycans, worshiped and feared in equal measure. But to me, she was nothing more than a relic of a past I had long buried.“Hey,” she drawled, her voice honeyed with seduction. Her hands found my chest, the touched my chest, rubbing it so gently as her eyes were fixed on min.My expression remained unreadable, my gaze meeting hers with the coldness I have. But she wasn’t afraid. She never was.“I haven’t really gotten the time to come see you…” she continued, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. “But here I am.”She leaned in, tilting her face toward mine, her lips parting slightly as if daring me to close the distance. I mov

Kael’s POVI was once human, despite being the Lycan king in my previous life, but my mortal body perished, and with it, my existence as a man came to an end. Knowing that I could no longer walk among them, I erased myself from the memories of everyone in Georgia’s life. Now, in the afterlife, I exist as a god to the lycans. But even, she persists. Georgia, the one I banished from my heart, refuses to stay away. She claws at the boundaries I have set, seeking a way back in. I have ensured that every door remains shut, every passage barred, yet she is relentless. “I don’t think she would stop soon.” Karl stated.“Karl, I told you to make sure she doesn’t step foot back here,” I seethed, my voice filled with fury. “Yet here you are, telling me you think she won’t stop. Do you take me for a fool?”Karl exhaled sharply, his jaw tight. He stood before me. “I did exactly as you asked,” he said through gritted teeth. “Her visa application was denied repeatedly. But she’s not giving up. If

Georgia’s POVThe boys’ quarters was small but enough for what I needed. I dropped my bag by the bed, sighing as I took in my surroundings. A single wooden table stood by the window and a chair was tucked under it. I pulled out my phone, fingers moving as I navigated to the visa application website. I had checked everything before, my documents, my financial statements, my reason for travel. Everything was in order. There was no reason for rejection. No reason at all.Yet, as I filled in my information and pressed submit, the response came instantly.“Your application has been declined. You do not meet the eligibility criteria.”I frowned. That had to be a mistake. I double-checked my details, ensured every box was ticked, and tried again.“Application rejected. You are ineligible for a visa at this time.”A slow frustration crept into my chest. I met all the requirements. I had the necessary funds, the valid passport, and even the sponsorship letter. So why was it rejecting me? Was

Georgia’s POVSuddenly, we heard sounds of footsteps before I saw Damien. Confident as he approached. “Lucy is right,” he said as he entered, obviously he had overheard I and Lucy’s conversation. He didn’t sit immediately. Instead, he walked towards me, his fingers grazing the back of my chair.I set my fork down, sound against my plate. “About what?”He reached his seat and finally lowered himself into it, meeting my gaze with eyes that held no hesitation. “She’s moving into our room,” he said simply, as if it were a foregone conclusion. “And if you don’t like it, you can leave.”The words hit me like a slap. “Excuse me?” My voice was sharp, edged with disbelief.“You heard me,” he said. “This arrangement makes the most sense. Lucy deserves a place in my life. In my room. In our home.”“Our home?” I laughed, the sound was brittle and hollow. “No, Damien. My home.” I pushed my chair back abruptly, standing as anger coursed through me. “If anyone should leave, it’s you and Lucy.”His

Georgia’s POVLater that day, Lucy sat across from me at the breakfast table, I knew something was wrong. It wasn’t just the overly polite way she had asked if we could talk in private or the way she tucked a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear, something she only did when she was nervous. It was the way she looked at me, as if she had made up her mind about something she knew I wouldn’t like.I sipped my tea.She exhaled, her lips curling into a small, hesitant smile. “I just want you to listen to me before reacting.”That wasn’t a good start.Lucy and I had always been close or at least I thought we had. She was my step-sister, yes, but we grew up together, shared secrets, and whispered about our crushes in the dark when we were younger. But now, sitting in front of me with that unnerving calmness, I had the sinking feeling that something was about to break. She hesitated for a second before speaking, and when she did, her voice was maddeningly composed. “I’ve been thinking

Georgia’s POVLater that night…I knew something was wrong the moment Damien walked into our bedroom. His face was tight with restrained emotion, his jaw clenched as if someone had just angered him. He stood by the window, staring out the estate. He didn’t turn to look at me, but I could feel the weight of his silence pressing against me.I set the brush down and met his reflection in the mirror. “If you have something to say, just say it, Damien.”He exhaled sharply and turned to face me, his eyes cold. “I can’t do this anymore.”“Do what?” I was curious to know.“Be your husband. That’s exactly the problem. I’m tired of pretending to love you. I’m tired of pretending that this marriage is something it’s not. I can’t cope with you anymore.”For a second, I couldn’t breathe. The finality in his voice sent a sharp pain through my chest, but I refused to let it show, I already saw all of this coming. In my previous life, he had left me for Lucy so I am not surprised. Instead, I stood a
