"Germany? Why? Over that tramp?" Gabbi huffed.

"No. My sister-in-law got killed in an accident and my brother is MIA." Karl explained.

"Oh, sorry Karl. They need you to go help look for him?" Gabbi asked.

"Not exactly. They need me to come pick up my two-year-old nephew. His custody goes to me since our parents are dead. I'm his only family left." Karl explained.

"So, what does this mean for us?" Gabbi asked.

"I know you don't want kids. And if you want to end it now, I'll understand. But I don't have that choice. I have to take care of him until my brother returns." Karl explained.

"Do you have to move to Germany?" Gabbi asked.

"No, I just have to go get him, let him get used to me. Then file all the paperwork to bring him back here." Karl replied.

"I need some time to think." Gabbi replied.

"And I will respect whatever decision you make. But Angel? I hope you choose to stay with me." Karl pleaded.
