He was there at the hallway, panting for breath, panting after any form of gratifying news concerning his dearest Emily.
He was standing out there, licking his lips nervously, anticipating something good, moving back and forth, trying to calm his nervous soul.
He seemed like a blue arse fly, seeming very nervous. At this point in his life, nothing would be in the better position of calmingbhis nerves that a comforting news about his beloveth Emily.
He stopped his movement half way, he heard a sound, it struck the bones of his feet and it made his ears to tingle, he could hear this sound, it sounded like a joyous one, a joyous sound emitting from the room where Emily and the doctor were in.
He decided to move closer to the door of the room in a bid to identify the cause of the sound he heard and satisfy his questioning spirit.
He could finally hear the sound, it was sounding like a cry, but from a young creature.
The baby, his replica, his little self was born, his gift from the moon goddess had finally arrived the earth.
His elated soul couldn't just contain the enormous joy, his face beamed with a heavy smile which burst into laughter and further more into sounds of jubilation.
He felt extremely good within, smiling and feeling like he had won million dollars. But even if he won a million dollars, he wouldn't be as excited as he felt currently.
The moon goddess never delivered his gift late. He searched around, he looked outside to the nearest possible location where he could catch a clearer and a better view of the full moon and when he finally did, he smiled broadly at it.
"Thank you!", He joined his two palms together as if he was praying and uttered out with his eyes closed from the depth of his heart.
Indeed he was extemely grateful, he had always relied on the moon goddess for the strength he needed as an Alpha and as a warrior and the moon goddess never failed to assess him in all his troubled times.
It was a happy event and he could not just hold back the ecstasy and the bliss which flowed from the depth of his soul.
Doctor Martins Grey emerged out of the room, with his face down to the ground, he created a heavy sigh of relief, indeed he felt so exhausted and before he could lift up his face, there was a harsh wind which he felt which blew, and when he lifted up his eyes, the figure who stood before him was a desperate Richard who was feeling like hey go mad who wanted to visit his mate.
Now he was acting just like Emily who couldn't stay ten minutes without seeing her mate, with the only difference being that he was male and also the fact that Emily had gone through a very tedious experience of which his presence would calm her tensed nerves.
"Whoa! You scared me", Martins Grey said after he was able to catch his breath.
Truth, the alpha wolf had scared the living daylight out of him.
He held his chest like his heart would jump out I'd given the chance to.
But with all these, Richard didn't think in that direction.
He never thought that his little actions could frighten anyone.
He had spotted the doctor (from where he stood speaking to the moon goddess) coming out from the room and he needed to talk to the doctor before he lost glimpse of him.
He ran again, courtesy of the super speed granted to him by the moon goddess, he ran quickly, like a dose of salt, and stood just in front of Martins Grey, beaming positively at the doctor with all pleasure.
"How is she?", Richard asked the doctor looking rather worried than being anticipated just like before, asking like his life depended on it.
He was effusive in his questioning. His eyes were moving, following every direction Martins Grey moved his head or hands to.
"Oh! Yeah! It went very well. Though it was tough at some point, but then her wolf helped her. So, she's good and so are the babies.", Martins Grey replied his questions with a smile on his face.
The word "babies" sent shock waves throughout Richard's body, stricking his heart like a thunderbolt.
The ever beaming and smiling face died down and his forehead wrinkled in a puzzled manner.
"Babies?" Richard asked scratching his head and looking very thoughtful.
He was in utmost disbelief, the most striking he had ever felt.
None of them, neither Emily nor Richard thought in that direction, the possibilities of having twins weren't even considered and now, surprisingly TWINS!, this could probably have been the biggest surprise of the night.
"Yes! Babies", Martins reaffirmed his statement looking at Richard who seemed to be out of his mind with worries.
His countenance had changed. Martins looked at the Alpha wolf and thought if he wasn't happy with the news seeing the expression and worry on his face.
He couldn't hold on to his worry anymore, it took so long before Richard could give a reply to the statement he uttered out and when Richard never spoke a word again, and this time, he had to ask, "She gave birth to a set of twins. Don't you like that?"
Alpha Richard didn't say a word, he was lost in his thoughts, he didn't hear the question the doctor asked him, he had gone to an entirely different realm if checked properly.
"How possible could this be", random thoughts flowing through his head, he thought of how possible it could be, he thought of how Emily would feel if she got to know she had a set of twins.
But on the other hand, he was euphoric. This came out to be some sort of like a double blessing for him from the moon goddess.
Who in the world would truly believe that the Alpha wolf would have twins overnight.
He vividly remembered the moment Emily placed his hands on her belly, he remembered vividly the response of the baby to his warm gesture and he never thought in his entre life that what was in his beloveth's womb was going to come out being double.
"Hello?!", Martins Grey touched Richard's shoulder, and shook him with all his strength trying to bring him back down to earth because from the looks of it, he was definitely out of this world.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!!", Alpha Richard gathered himself together, shaking his head severally like he was set free from a form of hypnosis.
He gathered himself together and breathed out heavily. Obviously the journey he took through his random thoughts was too far and somewhat tiring.
"Sorry! Uhmm... I didn't get what you said", Richard asked in a low tone trying to recollect himself together.
"I said.." Martins Grey spoke out repeating every single word he said previously.
"I said, "She gave birth to a set of twins. Don't you like that?"", He said raising questioning eyebrows at Richard.
Richard beamed again with a nostalgic smile, not faking it this time actually.
He remembered how joyous he was when he heard the cry of a baby, he was on top of the world, like a bird set free from it's cage, he never ever wanted any other repugnant thought to override the rapturous emotions which were flowing out of him.
"Of course! That sounds very wonderful. Oh goodness" he said rubbing his right hand through his hair and placing his left hand on his waist looking overwhelmed.
He was overwhelmed with the joyous news, feeling like a bee in a clover.
"Who in the world would have thought I would be a father of twins?" He said out in utmost excitement.
"Yeah! Not even the Luna knew that", Martins Grey answered in the same tone Richard spoke with, a blissful tone.
"Maybe that was what gave her an extra tough time, but thanks to the goddess! They're all good", Martins added.
"What's the gender?", Richard asked inquisitively still having an aura of excitement oozing out of him freely.
"Oh! They're both boys", Martins Grey answered as he removed his jacket and folded up the sleeves of his shirt.
"Sweet", Richard uttered as he rubbed his two palms together like he was about feasting on something very delicious, like the cat that got the cream.
Richard was as happy as a box of bird, so carefree at that moment, he began to ponder, though in a loud voice, "The first will be the next alpha and the second, maybe his beta"
" Yeah!!... About that", Martins Grey spoke out of the corner scratching his head with the ballpoint pen in his hand, killing the iota of excitement in alpha Richard.
Alpha Richard turned looking a bit confused with Martin's statement.
"Was something wrong? Was one of them affected, or was any of them too sick? Would any of the twins die?", These were all random thoughts running through Richard's brain in just less than a second after Martin's statement.
"What is it? Is there a problem?", Richard asked in a concerned state. The last straw to break the camel's back was to find out that something bad would happen to either Emily or any of his two sons.
But, he clinged on to the doctor's statement ".. she's good and so are the babies" as his last ray of hope.
"I'll tell you.. " Martin's Grey said out but looked around to see if anyone was eavesdropping on their conversation.
When he was certain that no one was close by, he lowered the tone of his voice and said, "but not here. Downstairs. Plus I need a drink"
He tapped Alpha Richard at the back and walked down the staircase with Alpha Richard being behind him and heading straight towards the sitting room.
At one corner of the room, there was a wine vault which hung beautifully on the wall showcasing it's collections.
It was filled with the finest of wines and drinks, exquisite enough to suit the Alpha's taste.
None of the things Richard ever bought or owned was below his standards and none was a replica of the original. He made sure to buy the best money could buy, to get the greatest thing since sliced bread.
"So..", Richard turned round to look at Martins Grey.
He continued with his statement, "What's your poison?", He said again proudly flaunting his wine collection.
"Ooh! Brandy. I'll take the Brandy", Martins Grey replied pointing at one of the wines he saw which sat on the shelf.
Alpha Richard wore a smirk on his face and winked at him, and turned back to pick up the exact wine Martins pointed at.
It was obvious, Richard had thought of the exact same drink Martins had chosen, it was as though Martins was in his head reading his every thought.
Martins Grey was an indefatigable lover of good and tasty wine and his body always reacted to the sight of good wine, the only advantage was being able to drink Richard under the table.
"You know? Emily's really a strong woman", Martins spoke out as he watched Richard pouring little quantity of the wine into a wine glass.
"The goddess really matched you two together", he continued sounding like one who was in need of a lengthy conversation.
"Thank you", he uttered as Richard handed over a glass of wine to him.
There was this reaction written on Richard's face and if read to complete understanding, one could tell he wasn't comfortable with the contemptuous way Martins spoke about Emily.
"She got a little issue with the pushing aspect until she switched to her wolf form. Oh Goodness! Her wolf form was glorious. It was like... " Martins was blabbing uncontrollably sounding like fingernails on the chalkboard.
If allowed, he would talk a blue streak, talking like an apothecary, forgetting he was talking about his Alpha's mate, his Luna.
"You were saying something about the babies.. " Richard cut him short with his deep manly voice when he got provoked. Martins was boring him with all the long talks and it was getting provocative to some point.
"SKIP TO THAT PART!!.. " he ordered emphatically, looking at Martins scornfully.
Martins paused for a moment and took a sip from the glass of wine offered to him.
The looks from Richard's clenched face scared the bejeebers out of him, he almost choked while swallowing the drink.
"Oh! Yeah! Sure", Martins Grey said again as he cleared his throat and dropped the glass of wine cautiously on the table before he continued that statement.
"In all my years of working as a medical personnel...", Martins began using his hands to demonstrate some of the points he made as he was about the nail on the head.
"Whenever a female wolf puts to birth, the young wolf would let out some kind of energy, like an aura, though it comes out minute and small, there's this little strength which the baby gives out which shows us that his wolf is present. Such child could grow up to become a fierce wolf, also still depending on the child who wants to train his wolf, but as of tonight, I didn't feel much of it in one of the babies", Martin's Grey continued.
Richard was about to take a sip from the glass of wine in his hands but stopped halfway unto hearing Martin's last statement.
His eyeballs which looked down on the table changed it's direction towards Martin's grey who sat on the chair.
"So what are you saying?", Richard asked uncomfortably.
He sat upright and removed the glass from his lips and put his full attention on Martins.
Martins breathed out heavily, though his hands were shaky and unsteady, he made an effort to compose himself and hit the nail on the head, saying what he had to say straight from the shoulders.
"What I'm saying is...", He started his statement and stopped halfway, moving the muscles of his throat due to the nervousness which sparked up within him, and swallowing his fear.
The once upon a time blabbing Martins Grey, the same man who could talk over someone's head, the same man talking Alpha Richard under the table, this same man was now as silent as the tomb, this same man was now afraid of his own shadow.
He was afraid of the Alpha Wolf's reaction to his statement.
He was tapping his feet on the ground consistently just to ease his nerves and the fear roaring up in him but it didn't seem to work, the Alpha's consistent look on his face was enough to make his soul separate from his body.
He blinked his eyes continuously in less than a second and then said, "I'm saying... I'm saying that the first born MIGHT be wolf less."
"I'm saying... I'm saying, between me, you and the gate post, the first born might be wolf less.", Martin's grey uttered out finally after much complications he had within him. There was a moment stunned silence, a defeaning silence which struck the entire room. "Might!.... Might.. I said might", Martins Grey said scratching his head and looking to another direction quickly like the winds. It was conspicuous, very noticable, the clock which hung beautifully on the wall suddenly began to tick loudly, the soft gentle winds which blew through the tight curtains could be heard, the whistling sound was audible enough, Martin's unsteady eyes were moving restlessly from viewing the black smart shoe he wore, to the glass which was in Richard's hands to Richard's face. The look on Richard's face terrified him so bad, he threw his looks away from Richard's face to the curtains and back again to the table which separated him from Alpha Richard "Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!", Richard roared, l
"His name is Nicholas", Richard said out again as he turned fixed all his full attention on Emily. She looked back at her husband, she stared back into Richard's eyes and smiled cheerfully, she smiled from ear to ear, smiled like a bee in a clover, she loved the sound of his name, "Nicholas". "He would be his brother's best friend and probably he will be his beta and they will rule and lead the blue moon pack in battle together, and they would come back home victorious", Richard spoke as though he was proclaiming blessing upon his two sons. Or yes! He was blessing his two sons, his words were power and life, he was the Pack's protector, he didn't only feel like a boss, he was their boss, their king and everything under him was also under his control and they obeyed the instructions that proceeded from his mouth. She leaned her head on Richard's muscled shoulders, it showed a form of agreement to everything Richard was saying. "He would be his brother's best friend...", those exact
"It's about Bryan", he finally pulled out of the grip of fear holding him and embraced courage, speaking up to Emily being as free as in speech and also as free as a bird. It was time for him to tell Emily what he heard about Bryan, he was hiding in plain sight and he couldn't hide it from her anymore, following Martin's words, he needed to let Emily know everything. She took in a long breath and sat upright in a bid to listen to what Richard had to say. "Was Bryan okay?", She asked herself. Though she seemed very uneasy, she maintained her cool and paid rapt attention to what Richard was about to say. "And what about Bryan? Is anything wrong somewhere?", She asked looking concerned and putting her gaze on him (Bryan). "Martins told me he would be wolfless", he said as he looked at Emily. She was in suspense, at first seeming motionless but later she turned slowly and looked at Richard. Her facial expressions changed, her countenance changed. This
She had succeeded in capturing his heart, snatching him away from the hands of fear and pulling him closer to faith with just the words of her mouth Looking at him, he was looking more lively, happier, stronger, and more handsome. With his happy face, it was safe to say he had gotten over the fears that held him down and kept his hope alive."I have something in mind..", Emily said as she thought of something. It was like a ping in her head, just after the sweet encouraging words and sermon she had delivered flawlessly to her husband, a very bright idea came to her mind."Something very special in mind", Emily spoke out again. Holding her husband was like falling in love with him again and again, it was like reigniting feeling deep within her, it was never going to end.But she would not hold him for so long, it would make Alpha Richard feel she was loving and craving every fibre and muscle of his body, and in a relationship where the both parties were willing to out love the other,
He whispered softly into her ears, "I'll be downstairs", her skin receiving some form of impulse from his hot breath. She watched as he put on his long black robe and left the room walking majestically and gracefully. Even with his departure, the room was still filled with his aura, with his scent, he smelled like spice, like the roses, and so did the room too. Everything in the room reminded her of the intense intimate moment they had the previous night. From the table lamp, to the bed, to the opened windows which freely gave passage for the winds to cool her every moment of the session, she smiled as every single moment played back in her mind and she felt like a dog on heat. She could still feel his arms rubbing her smooth skin slowly, and she couldn't help it but also rub her skin too as if he was present with her doing exactly what was in her mind, but he was out of the room a few minutes ago. She was carried away by what she did until her eyes jammed
Baked potatoes?, Omellete?, Vegetables?, Richard, everything around her was enough to blow her mind away.If the day started this way, Emily was in a state of eagerness to know what the day truly held for her.She picked up a piece of omellete eggs in her fork and drove it straight into her mouth.Closing her eyes, she explored the inner sweetness and delicious taste of the meal which calmed her nerves and found into way to comfort her previously growling stomach. Then, suddenly, she shot her eyes open as though she remembered something, or maybe she did remember something. Her babies. She never thought about giving her babies a bath, neither did she think of feeding them in the morning. She had finally understood what motherhood taste like, she now had to take care of not just herself only, but her twin babies. If only she had removed her mind from Richard, she obviously would have remembered her babies and how they were faring. Hopefully, she had Richard to thank for the constant s
"My name's Richard, what's your name?", Richard asked politely. He looked into his eyes, it was a reflection of his emotions, the pain, the agony, everything."My name's Luke", Luke replied as he shook his hands with Richard.Richard could see the pain in his eyes, obviously his cheeks were burning, his jaw and his head was aching and his body hurt him badly, but he tried keeping a smiley face "Come on! Let's go get some treatment for your face", Richard said.Luke couldn't walk on his own accord, he obviously needed help to leave the woods and Richard held his hands, slowly taking him out of the woods "How did you do that?", Luke asked. He puzzled over the fact that another boy of bus age was able to beat up two big bullies and scare the last one away. This was something worth knowing."How did I do what?", Richard asked him. Quite certain, he didn't really understand the question he was being asked"How were you able to beat those two guys up all on your own?", Luke asked finally
The cool warming winds which blew through the beautiful garden added ankther sensational feeling to Luke while he gulped down large quantity of the wine in his glass down his throat."You know I can do anything you want me to do, right?", Luke spoke reassuringly.Richard knew for sure that Luke was capable of moving the heavens and the earth just go his sake.Luke had more than enough reasons to serve the alpha wolf, and if he wanted to do so, he wood do it with the whole of his heart, no form of doubts raised. However, he could only do all this things without doubt trusting the decisions of Alpha Richard.Richard was good at making good decisions, at first some may seem very risky, but in all, at the end, the outcome would be worth celebrating."Are you sure?", Richard asked him again."Just to be clear, it's not a hard task, it's a simple one. A very simple one", Richard said again. This time he assured him that it wasn't going to be tough as the other tasks he usually gave him "I
"Are you crying?", Bryan heard a familiar voice which caused him to jerk up from his posture. It was Harriet's, and she was alive."Oh Harriet", he said as he didn't hesitate to hug her deeply. He didn't know if he was the one who height her back to life, or what, but he was grateful, having another opportunity to hear her voice and have her by his side."You're choking me..!", She struggled to say with faint breath, constantly tapping him by his shoulders just so he could break the hug. He hugged her too tight, squeezing the last breath in her lungs, not until he was aware and finally broke the hug. He wouldn't want to be the cause of her second death and so smiled at her.He pressed his lips against hers. That feeling! He would kill himself if he never had the chance to taste the moisture in her lips. She had her hands wrapped around his neck, kissing and reciprocating his actions."You're alive.!", He said with an elated tone, still not able to comprehend what had happened."Yes."
What just happened? The silence in the room was a grave one as Bryan stood to watch the Caesar's head roll on the ground, his eyes still wide open while his body released blood profusely. It seemed as though Luke was on their side, evident in the way he turned swiftly and stood with them, pointing his sword towards them in his defense."Sorry, I'm late.. I just needed the time", he said with heavy breaths, huffing and puffing as he stood with them. How exciting it was! At the initial stage he doubted if he would fight his father's best friend, or if his daughter would fight her father, and surprisingly, he was on their side. There were more powerful forces on his side against Constantine. And speaking of Constantine, she didn't appreciate Luke's actions as the frown on her face had spoken her intentions clear to all of them. If only she knew how cute her porcelain skin was with her platinum blonde hair, then she would keep a smiley face. Yet it pleased him how it stung her deeply in
"I need you to promise me one thing.", Said Bryan as he held Harriet's hand, both standing in the middle on the room and staring into each other's eyesThe night had come, the night when he would battle his foes and would take back what belonged to him. He was nervous, constantly breathing just to keep up with the feeling within him.He heard of the stories of his father's greatest battle with an enemy so powerful. Was he as nervous as he was? Did his father fear the outcome of what would happen after that night just the same way he did?His thoughts ran wild, his mind picturing all the kinds of things which would happen during his battle with the Caesar. They were both positive and negative, successes and losses, yet he feared the latter between the two choices."What is it?", She stood like a loyal lady, holding hands with him. His hands were soft just as hers. Both couldn't get rid of the memories of the previous night, especially the love bite. She couldn't tell if he was insane o
"You really believe tomorrow night would be perfect for this.?", Harriet asked as she walked behind Bryan. Unlike the other days, he was a slow paced walker who had his hands behind his back on a gentle mood. At that point she struggled to keep up with him. She began breathing heavily. Walking with him was tiring and stressful, and the way he had flown through the flight of stairs aas incredibly amazing, yet she couldn't. "Yes.!", He finally replied as his legs stomped swiftly against the stairs from the top unto the last block and then he turned to stare at her. "Try to keep up please?", He asked as he stood with heavy breaths watching as she ran down the steps with speed. She tripped over, almost crashing against a hard floor not until his hands had caught her just at the nick of falling. "Are you alright?", He asked with hands around her waist, looking down at the one who looked to the ground. Her face was few inches before hitting the ground, his speed had saved he
It was still a hot sunny day when they took most of their properties and left immediately. They travelled on their horses, moving far before they had to stop to get some rest. Bryan could only make them stop when he was assured within him that the annihilators were far from them and where they stopped was safe enough. The annihilators attack had went on to show the war which the Caesar had decided upon. Obviously he hadn't signed the treaty given to him.He didn't expect him to sign it easily. The treaty wasn't meant for him, rather his brother. But the sight of his brother being battered and tortured showed the Caesar was in charge and he would be the best person to hand over the treaty to.From the way he sounded and acted, he was an arrogant yet confident man who didn't believe in the word "defeat". And just like he thought, he had blasted the war cry by sending the Annihilators to ease himself of what was to come. Coward!Caesar was a different day, soon to be taught lessons whic
It's been a day after the brief visit to the blue moon pack, his home, and yet he couldn't get over the memories. They kept recurring, and they were getting as fresh as what he couldn't describe. His first sight of his home was amazing. The winds which blew there was much better than what he had ever felt, it was as though it was specially made for that environment. He felt it and it was though he was young again, infact, the memories returned as he stepped his feet on the garden. His parents favourite place. It was more of a love garden to them than what others would have thought, a place where they would sit together and have breakfast, disturbing the winds with their waves of love..And now they were no more, and the garden had turned into an evergreen desert. The water fountain which always had water flowing through it and letting the birds sing with it's gurgling sounds had ceased to function."Hey Bryan.!", He heard his name accompanied with the sound of the door being shut. He
Constantine! He almost screamed her name at the sight of her, holding back his over excitement as his eyes went on an adventure on the beauty before him.Yet he couldn't resist calling her name. "Constantine.?", He called with now less interest on the treaty and more on her. He had his hands supporting him as he got up from his seat and stood to watch her keep walking towards him. She was looking better than the last he set eyes on her, watching her skin glow as the light aided it to. Her platinum blonde hair was perfect, falling on her shoulders and on her back, and her porcelain skin, so perfect for the word perfect. He went by the name Caesar, yet he found someone who knew what he was truly called. And here she was, standing before him with a straight face and a medallion hanging around her neck. It was beautiful, like the treasure who wore it. Filled and decorated with some shiny fancy stones, it glowed too, just as he couldn't resist staring at it."I'm surprised to see you her
"Mind what you say to me boy..!", The Caesar responded to his statement. In someway it hurt him bad. The feeling of a son challenging a father figure was what he had never seen, this young man displayed it before him.And why would he think he was scared of fighting his father? His father was one of the, if not the most powerful werewolf in the entire werewolf world, and whoever challenged such a person is mentally and all round prepared to fight him.He was an example. He had always wanted the Blue moon pack to himself, yet the presence of a being so powerful like himself had already assured him before hand that he was never ready for him.And when he thought he was ready, he felt as though making waves by killing other weaker Alpha's would cause fear to strike the entire werewolf world, making them know his name. And when he finally had Fergus, he had understood that the man whom he had fought hard and prepared for was no longer in existence.Someone must have killed him and taken o
The next day had arrived. Nature had it's way of making things come in an unexpected way, this time, it worked for his favour. He was awake, agile and strong for what was coming and what he expected to see.He awoke from his bed and had a quick shower, washing down all of his pain and frustration, thinking about his family as the warm water washed down the dirts from his bodyHe dried himself up and put on his clothes. It wasn't the usual he wore, this time, Adira had arrived with some of his best clothes. Up till that moment, he hadn't been able to place his hands on how she was able to know his location and even bring along some of his clothes. She had stated something about having a dream where he called her and gave her the same letter which he had seen in her hand. She went on to state she awoke to the croaking sound of a raven by her window, holding the same letter from her dream. He actually wished he had sent a message to someone back home, yet he never had a idea on who he wo
