TYLER:

As soon as Karen walked back in, I began to head towards my room thinking about everything that she had said to me. Karen had just a few months for her to go into delivery and these few months, I had to make her happy.

It would be very hard leaving her child and for that reason, I had planned to make her stay with the baby for a month only before she walked away. At least that was the highest that I could do for her. As I got to my room, I laid back on the bed rubbing my forehead, and when I sat down on the bed again, my gaze went straight to the portrait on the wall. "Emily" I called inwardly staring at the portrait and recalling all the beautiful moments we had when we were younger. When I married Emily, I promised her the whole world, but I failed because I desperately wanted an heir.

The most painful part was my not recognizing that she was pregnant. If I had known earlier, I would never have taken Karen in as my Luna, and I would have stuck to my promise.

I agree with Anita 100%. Paying for author notes is highway robbery. The author even said it wasn't a chapter.

Why were there 2 chapters I had to pay for that were editor's notes, no story, just notes? Very unhappy at 35 per chapter lost.

THREE DAYS LATER:EMILY:I've been here for three days, in this cold and dark place, walking endlessly and hoping to find a way out soon. I had no idea what was going on in the real world or if I was dead or not. "Moon goddess, please help me, I don't wanna die, not yet," I begged for the 100th time, but everywhere was still dark and so quiet, making me fall to my knees because I was tired. She wasn't going to listen to me, she wouldn't hear my cries and my pleas.Of course, I had agreed to this, but that was when I didn't know I would find this much happiness in the world after I died."Please, listen to me. You can do this to me, to him, to Lilith." I wasn't worried about myself, I was more worried about Christian and Lilith, most especially Lilith. How was she coping without me? She must have watched me and cried her eyes out. I buried my face in my palm, slowly losing all hope of someone helping me or the moon goddess giving me a response. Maybe this was the end, and it was my tim

CHRISTIAN:I was still holding Emily's hand, and more than anything at this moment, I didn't want to let it go. I kept rubbing her hair gently, staring at her, and telling myself that she would definitely wake up soon.I picked my phone from the table and dialed Mia's number because I had been expecting her to get over here with Lilith. I was worried about her because, for three days, I had not seen her, and based on what Mia had told me, Lilith badly wanted to see Emily as well. Maybe that might be what Emily needs right now, to hear Lilith's voice.Mia picked when the phone rang again, "Hey, where are you?""We're almost at the hospital, brother.""And where's Shane?"I knew my stubborn sister and that was the main reason I asked of Shane. I still can't seem to figure out why Mia dislikes Shane so much when it was so obvious in the past that she liked him but was too scared to go after him. "I left him back at the mansion.""What? I gave a fucking strict order Mia. You have no idea

CORRECTED CHAPTER EMILY:Time didn't exist here because everywhere had always been dark since the last few days I was here. I had no idea what it was today or had no idea if there had been another day or not. I had lost all hopes of ever going back, but I knew deep down that if the moon goodness wanted me to be gone, then she would have taken me earlier. Why was I still here?I decided not to ask myself further questions. Asking questions only left me with multiple unanswered questions that I badly wanted to get an answer to and I couldn't cry anymore because I had lost my tears. My back was rested on a huge tree and my eyes were shut as well. I hummed silently to myself, but suddenly heard a voice and stopped. When I opened my eyes, there was light, and the darkness was gone. Amongst all the light in the sky, one was the brightest, and suddenly, someone appeared right in front of me.For a second, I jerked in fear and took a step backward, but the moment I recognized her, I took a de

I was simply having a bad feeling about everything, and now that the Voltori were here, the feelings were only worse."Christian." Talia called my name as I tried to stand up on my feet, she held my arms and held me up while I groaned again, "I'm fine, Talia, I need to leave." I said to her."No! You're not fine. What happened to you? You're really stressing yourself out and it's affecting you so much, Christian, so I think you should rest.""I need to leave, Talia, I need to know if Emily's okay... I need to know how she's doing." I forcefully took my grip away from Talia's and began to walk away when she called my attention again,"He's dead..." She stated, and my heart immediately skipped a beat. "The patient, he died, Christian!"I turned around and stared at Talia, asking myself if what

CHRISTIAN:I tucked my hands into my hair roughly as I heard what the doctor has said. I knew this was going to happen, but not this early because I was going to think of a way to console the family and plea with them."The deceased family were told earlier that he could survive the surgery, and now they want to know what exactly happened. I tried to calm them down earlier, but they're not willing to let it go. The hospital might get sued.""What?" Emily cut in immediately, but I touched her hand, "Nothing's going to happen okay, I'll sort this out myself." I said knowing that part of all this was my fault. If I had not passed out and stopped the surgery, then maybe I could have saved the patient.""Alright, I'll be right behind you. Also call for a meeting in the conference room as soon as possible." I instructed, and watched as she turned to walk away after nodding her head. I sighed deeply immediately the door was shut and rubbed my forehead."What happened?" Emily questioned me, b

TYLER:Zane walked into my office while I was busy sorting out some important files."Alpha, I finally found it!" He uttered as he walked in without my permission, and it made me realize that it was something important. "Found what Zane?" I questioned him."I found something tangible on Talia, and I think you might want to know this too." Immediately after I heard this from Zane, I shut down my laptop. "Seriously? What did you find?"Zane came closer to me and handed me a file. "I don't think Natalia is just an ordinary lady like everyone out there thinks she is. Take a look at this,"I opened the file and began to stare at it. "This is...""Yes, that's Mr Wellington, the most influential man in the UK, and I think he's Talia's father. I'm still in the confirming stage, and there is a 60% certainty that she's his daughter.""What? CHRISTIAN:After more than 5 hours of surgery, everything ended. I stepped out of the surgery room and took off my nose mask so I could take a deep breath in after the stressful surgery. It wasn't easy, but I had to strive hard to save her so her daughter would probably be able to let go of her father's death. I didn't know what I was expecting, but right now, the only thing I could do is hope she let it slide I had not informed them as well, but he was also at the last stage of his cancer and was probably going to die after a few weeks."How's she? Is she alive?" I heard the lady's voice. There was so much fear in her voice as she spoke, "She's fine, but right now, she isn't awake." The door opened, and a stretcher passed by us. "You should keep a close eye on her now that..." I was silent for a few seconds because I couldn't say those words to them. "I understand, thank you so much. Also, I dropped whatever charges, so I won't be pressing forward with anything." I arched my brows

AUTHOR’S POV.“Please just stay still babe,” Tyler uttered as he got down from his car and headed straight for the back seat where Karen lay.He opened the car door quickly and wrapped Karen around his hands while he rushed as fast as his legs could carry him inside. “Somebody please help, my wife, is in labor,” Tyler yelled out. Dr. Grace and her team of nurses arrived with haste, quickly relieving Tyler of Karen's weight and transferring her to a wheeled stretcher. In no time, the procession quickly carried Karen away.“Just sit here sir, I assure you, she will be fine,” Grace mentioned before leaving for Karen's ward. Tyler felt his heart beat so fast and hard. As he sat on the visitors' seats, he could hear Karen's loud groan from the operating room. He sprang to his feet, his eyes burning with anxiety as he began to pace around the room. In a moment of desperation, he closed his eyes and clasped his hands together, silently asking the moon goddess for a positive outcome.“Ple

CHRISTIAN’S POV.“Let's talk outside,” I said to Blake as he glanced at me. “Stay here Lilith,” I whispered, placing her back on the visitor's seat. I walked outside immediately while Blake trailed behind me. The air practically crackled with my anger as I faced Blake, my hands clenching into fists at my sides itching to strike him.“Why, Blake?” I snarled. “Why would you break my sister’s heart?”. He kept his gaze trained on the floor, remaining silent.“Look at me!” I shouted, my voice laced with contempt. “Tell me why you did it! Do you have any idea what she's been through?”Finally, Blake looked up, his expression one of shame and regret. “I’m sorry, Christian,” he murmured, his voice barely audible. My blood boiled at the sight of his pathetic attempt at an apology.“Sorry?” I spat, my eyes blazing with rage. “You think that’s enough? Mia sacrificed herself to save you, even after everything you did to her, and all you can say is I’m sorry?”I could feel my hands trembling, a

TYLER'S POV.I sat next to Blake and Christian's cousin, Lilith. As I looked down at her, her little eyes were swollen already. “Hey, are you okay?” I questioned but she didn't even blink an eye to show that she was alright. “they’re going to be okay.” I declared. I inhaled a deep breath and shut my eyes deeply, calling the moment Emily was being stabbed. Christian had been furious and controlled by his anger. Maybe I wasn't the one Emily deserved it be with, after all, maybe Christian was her real mate. The way he sliced Talia's throat within the blink of an eye proved how much he loved and cared about Emily. Truly, Christian was the greatest and most powerful lycan that had ever existed. He fought with full strength and emotions and no one could ever defeat him. He would always win every single battle that came his way because he was born of Lycan blood.I opened my eyes wide as soon as I heard Christian’s voice. He walked out of a room that had a short description of “staff

CHRISTIAN’S POV I stood frozen unable to take my gaze off Emily as she dropped down to the floor. I could feel my heart beating so fast and I couldn't breathe well anymore. My crawls came running out of my fingers and I felt like I wasn't in control of myself anymore. I was still in human form but fur grew slowly on my face. “We can now be together Chris.” I heard Talia's voice. With annoyance, I sped off where she stood and grabbed her neck tightly. You're such a monster.” I barked. “It's time for you to leave this earth as well.” I declared as my grip on her neck worsened. “Please Christian, I did this for our love.” Talia cried out but it only worsened the pain even more.I wasn't in control anymore and the moment my eyes gleamed again, I slit her throat with my fingers and threw her lifeless body far away. Tears dropped down from my eyes as I averted my gaze back to where Emily lay on the floor.Lilith sat close to her, holding her hand tightly. I felt a drop of water on my

AUTHOR’S POV.Christian arrived at the imposing building and immediately stomped through the front door, in annoyance. His frustration grew when he was interrogated by a group of bodyguards who searched his body for weapons. Finding nothing, they finally ushered him into a large, cold room where he spotted Mia and Emily bound to chairs. With a swift motion, Christian freed them from their restraints, but before they could even thank him, a familiar figure entered the room. His blood ran cold instantly as I recognized the pale, arrogant features of Roland and some others. Roland stood before them, and his eyes narrowed in anticipation.“Ah, Christian,” he drawled, his voice dripping with false cordiality. “I’m so glad you could join us.”“Let us go,” Christian snapped, his anger barely contained. “You’ve no right to hold us captive like this..” “On the contrary,” Roland replied with a widening smile. “You decided not to yield to our warnings. Why don't you just join me and the othe

TYLER’S POV.I opened my eyes and sat straight up on the bed. I felt very different and somehow happy. I wasn't going to lay in bed throughout the day because Karen was here now. With a deep breath, I stood to my feet and walked straight to the bathroom. Karen had woken up early and left my room. I washed up a little and stepped out of my room quickly. While I took the staircase, I spotted Mia and Emily standing in the living room and it seemed like they were both waiting for me. “Hey, good morning,” I uttered as I walked towards where they both stood. “Morning,” Karen responded first, and then Emily. “I need your help Tyler, I need to warn Christian about Alpha Damon's plans and help with fighting every single person that's after him,” Emily said. I glanced at her for a moment and as our eyes locked, I could feel the pain within her. She was really worried about Christian. She still had the same sparkling eyeballs. All I could see right now was my Emily from a few months ago.

EMILY'S POV.I held Lilith's hand firmly while Mia stood next to me. We waited outside for a few minutes until when Karen arrived. “Hey, Emily.” She waved from afar. I turned to face Mia and began to speak. “Alright Mia, the one thing I need you to do right now is to get to the plane safely with Lilith,” I ordered and bent to Lilith's level. “I'll see you soon baby, mummy can't go with you now,” I said, rising straight up. “What about you Emily,” Mia questioned.I smiled warmly at her and cuddled her tightly. “I have something urgent to do right now.” With that, I turned quickly to meet Karen. We both stepped out of the airport glass door and walked straight to Karen's car. As we climbed in, Karen turned on the engine and we drove to Tyler's place quickly. ________________TYLER’S POV. She began to speak. “From the look of things, I know who you both are after and I'm willing to help you,” she uttered and smiled warmly.“I could make Christian finally come to you on a condition that you get rid of that slot that's always with him.” As Talia spoke, they both raised their brows in surprise.“Do you mean the doctor from earlier?” One of them mentioned and Talia nodded ahead happily.“Yeah, Emily!” She exclaimed. “However, I do have a very good plan and if you are willing to join hands with me, then it shall be carried out the day after tomorrow.” Talia watched silently as one of them drew close to where she stood and
