Helena’s P.O.V.

There was a hushed silence surrounding me when I opened my eyes slowly. The room was dim-lit, but I still needed some time getting used to it. I felt a hand reach for mine, then another upon my forehead, brushing my hair back.

“Helena?”

The woman called my name.

“Water,” I croaked out, desperate to quench my raspy throat.

There was scurrying before a cold material was pressed against my lips gently.

Glass!

I parted my lips gratefully and took in the liquid, finally getting the courage to check my whereabouts. The lights were switched on to aid my vision, Susan’s worried face appeared before my sight.

“How are you feeling now?”

Her eyes were glassy, I noticed that the skin under her eyes had turned slightly dark, she looked worn out due to lack of sleep. The white walls, expensive decoration pieces, and massive master bed I was lying on suggested that I was in an unfamiliar room. So, I answered her question with my query.

“Where am I?”

In response, Susan held
