I felt like I had been stabbed in the cruelest as his hurtful words and threat began to settle upon me. I felt a lump forming in my throat, and I fought back the tears that threatened to spill from my eyes. My voice quivered slightly, but I summoned all my courage and boldly stated in my defiance.

"You can't break me, Alpha," I said, her voice filled with determination, "And just know that I'll never stop loving you, despite how badly you treat me." My words hung in the air as his brows wrinkled. I couldn't tell if he was astonished by my resilience.
