Blake POV

I felt a knot tightening in my stomach as I stared at Alpha holding Theda's hand. An uneasy feeling had washed over me, along with a tinge of jealousy that I battled to conceal. But despite my best efforts, I couldn't help but betray my emotions as my jaw tensed.

I shifted my gaze to Theda, through indefinite shifts of expression. I didn't know what to say.

Theda abruptly stood up, causing Tyler to open his eyes and become aware of my presence.

I saw the flicker of shock in his eyes when his gaze met mine and he let go of her as I looked away.

I could sense the sudden uneasiness in Theda's movement. I bet she sensed something was amiss and motioned to excuse herself.

My gaze caught the glimmering jade in her pocket as she swiftly departed, causing my attention to linger, and my curiosity piqued.

Tyler possessed the ability to read minds, and I felt the weight of his silence scrutiny.
