Chapter 22

Jax’s POV

I sat down on the bed, my eyes stuck on the wall, glaring at it angrily. I kept wondering what herbs she had used for me. Before, I had to endure the sickness for almost five to four hours before it relieved me, but today, I only spent up to thirty minutes in bed. If only she could open her mouth and tell me the herbs she preserved for me.

I stood up with a mix of emotions, thinking of a way to lure her closer and gain some knowledge about the herbs. But She seemed so stubborn; even if I tried to persuade her, I knew she wouldn’t tell me. Inhaling and exhaling louder, I stepped out of my room feeling my energy coming back to me. This was my first time recovering and gaining so much strength within some period. My foot directed me to the way to the kitchen, and I couldn’t help but wonder why my mind kept pushing me toward where the kitchen was.
