RUNE POV

There was an awkwardness existing in the house. A lot of them and I feared the beauty of the pack was beginning to vanish from our eyes.

What was wrong?

What did I do wrong too?

Staring at the ceiling from where I lay, these and many thoughts ran around my head.

What was I going to do to change the look of things? Why did I get myself involved in all of these in the first place? Sitting up on the bed, I heaved a knowing sigh and picked up my phone from the table next to the bed.

And just then, I stared at its screen.

The wall clock before my eyes was not enough means of checking the time, and I was not myself. Not for a moment.

Standing on my feet, I decided to go about my daily routine as usual. How could I forget it?

Taking a seat again, I stared at the screen of my phone for a long time before making up my mind to do the usual: stalking Raven's page like I used to.

And now I was staring at her profile.

Something was off about it.

What was that?

RAVEN POVWith a final clack at the keyboard, I looked up at the clock ticking away on the corner wall of the office, and I smiled when I saw the time. My shift had ended. Logan would be contacting me soon enough.I set about packing my things, getting ready to leave. I was just zipping my pouch when my phone vibrated on the table with a particular tone that I had set just for this occasion. Grinning, I picked it up.‘I’m outside. Are you ready?’‘Yes. Give me a minute.’ I typed back.I finished my packing and tidied everything up, before I finally left. I waved goodbye to my co-workers, acting as if this was just another end of shift, when in reality, I was almost vibrating with excitement which I could hardly contain. When I finally got out of the building, I saw Logan leaning against his car in the parking lot. He was dressed casually, which made him so attractive that for a moment I paused, at a loss for words. He looked up, having heard my approach, and saw me. He smiled.“Hey,”

  • Alpha's Regret: Chasing My Forsaken Luna   Chapter 93

RAVEN POVI woke up, gasping. My heart was hammering in my chest, and blood was rushing through my veins with such speed that I could almost hear it.I recalled fleeting images, remnants of which still flashed through my mind. I had dreamt about Rune, I knew. The thing that baffled me, however, was that I could not understand why exactly I would be dreaming about him. This was weird; was it because of the recent overtures he had made to me?I remembered Aella’s visit, how she had told me to give him a chance. I scoffed. I could never do that, not when I had Logan. My skin was drenched in sweat. I stood up from the bed and changed the sheets, which were soaked through with said sweat. After I changed them, I went to take a short shower, then I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. When I was done, I went back to bed, and managed to fall asleep after much tossing and turning. When morning came, I woke up to a text message. It was from Logan.‘Please call me when you see this. I n

  • Alpha's Regret: Chasing My Forsaken Luna   Chapter 92

RAVEN POV With time, I recovered fully. My stomach on the other hand got bigger by the day, and I didn't think for a moment that it would stop because, from the look of things, there was more to come. Another Monday morning arrived. This was the point when I got out of bed so that I could take my bath and be ready for work. There was not much difference in my body and somehow, I seemed to like this more than the other. Despite the size.It was still Rune's fault, wasn't it? Why can't I leave him out of my thoughts? Anger was the right word for how I felt when I snatched the towel from the bed and walked into the bathroom for my bath. Soon enough, I was standing in front of a mirror - wondering what outfit exactly was good to use for the purpose of my work on this day. A smile came alive on my face when I figured it out. I didn't stop smiling for one moment, but caught up with the wardrobe, opened it, and caught sight of the outfit I needed to look for. How ready was I to be t

RAVEN POV “Isn't it late at night to be here?” Opening the door, there was Aella in my apartment. “Come on in. I'm sure you're cold.” I mouthed as I opened the door even wider, watching her walk into the space with a smile that was evergreen on her face. “Good evening, my lady.” I shut the door. Turned around and caught up with the couch she was seated on. “Not so fast. Is everything okay over there at the pack? Why are you here? You keep scaring me so much and I don't think I like it.” “My lady,” she looked at me. “There is nothing wrong if you must know. I just came to spend some time with you. I haven't done that since the operation for all that I can recall. How are you doing?” Relieved, I heaved a sigh. And just then, her eyes reached my stomach. “My goodness. It's bigger than I thought it'd be!” Crying, she adjusted on the chair, dropping her purse on the floor. “You look good on it too. You are still as beautiful as always if you know what I mean.” “I don't feel bet
