KALILA’S POV

It was really starting to irritate me now. Deep down, a part of me felt like the moon goddess had purposely set Wendy on my path as a obstacle to make the whole mission more difficult. What annoyed me more was her timing, I was so close to getting the whole story. Even though there was a high chance I wouldn’t know the lady in question, I could always ask Melissa for her help.

“Wendy? What are you doing here? I thought you would be resting by now?” Ares asked, quite startled by her presence.

“I'm bored alone in that house, so I decided to take a walk and I stormed upon you two a few meters away.” She replied, but I had a feeling she wasn’t lying.

She had probably been watching both of us from a window in the house and decided to do what she does best, interfere.

Ares regarded her from head to toes, then said, “You’re taking a walk in pajamas?”
