NINETY-NINE

ARES'S POV

Now I was really upset with Wendy, I just stood outside as the cloud of dust around me faded, watching the car drive away. I could already picture Dahlia crying and cursing me for 'cheating' once again and all it did was make me angry at Wendy.

The previous day I had seen very little of Dahlia, I wasn’t even aware that she and Jeremy were bound for the Blue Moon pack today. When I got back from the meeting, it was in the early hours of the morning and I was already awake before Dahlia was.

My first visitor of the day, was of course the one that would ruin the rest of the day for me, it was Wendy.

“Wendy? What are you doing here by this time?” I had asked when she walked in with a smile on her face.

“I haven’t seen you in a while, Ares. I came to check on you because I was missing you.” She said, perching on the edge of my desk instead of taking a seat like normal people did.
