Chapter 22

I trudged listlessly behind him as he led me through the long corridors. We got to his quarters and he opened the door and entered first. I stood by the door unsure whether to go in or not.

"What are you doing standing by the door? Are you not going to come in?" He said harshly and I slowly walked in cautiously. I haven't been here again since he almost strangled me to death in this very same room. He walked to the balcony and I followed slowly behind.

"Claws is hungry, feed him." He said nonchalantly.

"What?" I asked surprised and amused. "Did you really bring me here just to feed your pet bird?" A short amused laughter escaped my lips. He always fed his bird by himself so why do I have to do it.

"Do you have a problem with feeding him?" He asked with raised brows. I sighed as I closed my eyes struggling to compose myself.

"No sir." I said opening them again. I was super sleepy and I shouldn't be here feeding a bird. This wasn't even a part of my duty.
