Bailey's POV

I was in my room; I had skipped dinner. I was really scared as to what dad would say when he got home.

Mum had tried to calm me down but it wasn't working. I sat in my room alone but I was restless. Sometimes I would get up and I would pace around the room or I would sit on the floor. I watched as the hours flew by but nothing happened. I was too scared to look out of the window and check if dad was coming.

Finally I braved it and I poked my head outside. I tried to listen as hard as I could but I could hear nothing. I sniffed the air and then, I could smell it.
