RACHEL'S POV.

I followed my mother quietly to her house, her face contorted with seriousness throughout the journey, not a single sound came from her. Arriving at her house, she quietly led me to a dark room, a place I had never been to. The door was a large metal door that had no knob. My mother placed her hand on the door and muttered some words, and the door suddenly opened.

“Where is this place, mother?” I asked her as I walked in, looking around. The room was filled with different shelves that contained different potions, and a big cauldron was located in the middle of the room. A broom was placed by the side. “Is that a broom?” I smiled as I ran to it.

“Yes, it is,” she replied, moving closer to the table, checking some books.

“Wow, I didn't know you had a broom,” I said holding the broom, my face contorted with amusement.

“Every witch has a broom,” she answered coldly. “Sit” she commanded, gesturing to me to sit on the floor.
