Alpha Qillalon held Vesper gently. Sadness grips him as he can’t find any sign of life on his mate.

He could feel the warmth on her skin slowly dissipate.

Her nails and skin turned purple.

He was drowning in the sea of sadness when suddenly he heard a familiar voice in his head.

“Qillalon, do you trust me?” Quillion Van Kirk asks his son via a mental link. His voice is stern and commanding.

Alpha Qillalon's brows furrowed as his tears trickled down his face while carefully hugging his bloodied mate, brains scattered on the windshield on skull fragments pierced in the passenger seat.

He sniffed deeply while calming his tense nerves, “Of course I do.” He answered in a gloomy tone.

Quilliuon grunted, “Eleanor lost consciousness, you should bring her back to the Citadel manor so Gertrude Fallis could remove the entity that possessed her. I’ll take care of Vesper. I’ll drive her to town.” He says.

As the sun slowly settled down and the night took charge, casting the world in deep shadows, Quillion Van Kirk’s black Volvo sped through the winding roads toward the distant town, its headlights cutting through the darkness like a blade. He kept his eyes fixed on the road, the low hum of the engine the only sound that filled the vehicle’s interior. Beside him, in the passenger seat, Vesper’s body slumped, her body resting in the front passenger seat, purple-colored nails and pale skin. The remnants of her injuries—brutal and fatal—were still fresh in the surrounding air. Vesper’s pulse was still as silent as a calm sea, though the shattered remnants of her skull and missing brain told a different story. Her clothes were soaked in dried blood that had already stuck to her skin. Her once-pale skin was mottled with bruises, cuts, and burns from the silver bullets that had torn through her. The violent confrontation with Eleanor had left her on the brink of death, a corpse in all but n

In a distant facility in the heart of Pennsylvania. The stone halls of the hidden structure were shrouded in shadow as the Headmaster received the message he had been waiting for—for a very long time.“We have the Regen Project within grasp. The entity had it in his hands…” Jacques smirked proudly. “Or should I say it's in the bird's claws... No worries Headmaster, it will be here in no time.” He uttered playfully. The Headmaster, an ancient figure whose very presence emanated power, used all his remaining strength to sit on his bed.“I can’t wait to have it on my hands. Hurry and order someone to meet the entity halfway.” He demanded urgently. Jacques nodded and hurriedly motioned to the personnel guarding the Headmaster’s room to send someone out. Mustering all the strength he had, the Headmaster removed the IVs on his hand and rose from the bed that had been his haven for several years. He limply made his way to the floor-to-ceiling window. The darkness outside made his reflection

In the sterile, dimly lit room in the Citadel’s infirmary, it felt heavier with each passing minute. The scent of antiseptic was sharp in the air, but it did nothing to mask the oppressive silence that filled the space. Alpha Zane stood beside the bed where his wife, Eleanor, lay unconscious, her fragile form surrounded by the flickering light of the candle nearby. The normally fierce and proud woman, whose presence could command a room, now looked utterly vulnerable. Her face was pale, her breathing shallow, and the haunting remnants of the entity’s possession clung to her like a dark shadow.Alpha Zane had not left her side since she had returned to the manor. He hadn’t eaten, hadn’t slept. His hands were gripped tightly on the edge of the bed, his knuckles white. His mind replayed every moment of their fractured relationship—every harsh word, every hurtful action—and now, the consequences of his decisions seemed to echo in his chest like a crushing weight."I should've never rejecte
