Alpha Qillalon and his scouts are a few meters away from Gamma Sevy and Vesper when all of a sudden a twelve-foot fire troll runs towards them. Alpha Qillalon and his scouts immediately smell wolf blood all over the fire troll. Without any delay, they assemble in a formation and attack the fire troll.

A pack of werewolves against a twelve-foot tall fire troll with two sets of horns, thick limbs, rough red skin, black eyes, and razor-sharp dark teeth and claws. Even with his size and metal-like skin as an advantage, the fire troll was overpowered by the number of wolves around it.

The fire troll was torn to shreds in an instant when the Alpha and his scouts simultaneously attacked him nonstop with their sharp claws and fangs. When they stopped attacking the fire troll he looked no more than a pile of rotten meat that was left in the forest.

After killing the fire troll and making sure that no other trolls or creatures are around Alpha Qillalon and his scouts hastily continue their jo

Vesper and Gamma Sevy are hurriedly carried to the Citadel Manor infirmary. When they arrive, the Omega nurses are already in frantic mode to save Jolly, who suffered second and third-degree burns on half of her face and body. Gertrude with the use of magic, put Jolly to sleep so she could heal both physically and mentally. When Vesper and Gamma Sevy are finally laid on each bed, Gertrude does not waste any time casting a spell on Vesper’s ring. She turned the ring into a tattoo so that the nurses wouldn’t remove it, and she would turn it into a ring again when Vesper was back to normal. Shortly after, Velmont called Gertrude as he needed a way to sneak Anthony Falls, Vesper's blood donor, inside the manor, and he had no idea how to do it without raising any suspicions. “Are you insane, Velmont? You want a human to enter the manor?” Gertrude asks via a mental link.“Yes, or we could take Vesper out of the manor to the town, whichever is easier,” Velmont responded. Soon their conver

“What had gotten into you? Are you out of your mind, Velmont?” Gertrude mumbled under her breath. “Vesper is already on the brink of death, and you took blood from her to save an Omega?” She added that they drove out of the manor to go to the city and get blood from Anthony Falls, Vesper’s blood donor.Velmont frowned as Gertrude's loud voice started to get on his nerves, “Would you shut up, please. I didn’t like what I did, but Vesper said she did not want anyone to die anymore. Do you think that Gamma would survive if Vesper did not give him her blood?" he explains with a hint of sorrow in his voice.Gertrude gasped. "What has gotten into her? She was not like that when we met her. She is this weird selfish gal that only thinks of feeding and crushing things around her." She commented, her voice contained shock.Velmont heaves deeply. He was about to speak, but Gertrude beat her to it."Is it because of the magic I have used? Have I used so much magic on her that it altered her mood

Velmont's simple gesture rendered nothing. Gertrude tried to think of another way to make the Alpha leave the room. She spoke to Velmont through the mental link once more, “Listen to me and listen closely. I need you to start a commotion about something that could make Alpha Qillalon leave this place.” She explains. Her mouth never moved, no voice could be heard coming from her. Even an Alpha with Qillalon’s strength had no idea the two detectives were talking to each other.Velmont’s gaze narrowed, “How am I supposed to do that?” He asked as his eyes twitched in bewilderment.“Women,” Velmont thought to himself.Unbeknownst to Velmont, Alpha Qillalon caught a glimpse of the sudden change in his breathing.“Something is up.” Alpha Qillalon said to himself. “What are these detectives hiding?” He added while looking at Velmont and Gertrude with scrutiny. Shortly, Velmont left.Outside...Velmont was still clueless about how to accomplish the task. The only thing he could think of was to

"What the fuck!?" Gertrude and Alpha Qillalon uttered in unison. They began glancing at each other for an answer, and soon they started to check all the beds and cabinets in the infirmary.Gertrude held her talisman to send a message to Velmont.“This is bad, Velmont.”“No shit!” Velmont exclaimed. His face couldn’t hide his uneasiness.“This is the reason why Vesper only drinks blood directly from the veins. Drawn blood can make her high or worse insane.” He added in worry. “I know. I know we need to find her before Alpha Qillalon or any other wolves do.” Gertrude pointed out. Their mental conversation was soon interrupted when the Alpha spoke. “I’m going to search the forest, but don’t you ever think we are done here? Both of you are hiding something and, whether you like it or not, I’ll know what it was.” He declared. Velmont and Gertrude glanced at each other.“I’m coming with you,” Velmont suggested. “Gertrude, stay here and search the manor.”Gertrude nods. While walking in t

Velmont was uneasy. He was worried. “Vesper had been gone for more than 24 hours and the only thing good about this is no one seems to be missing aside from her. We could assume she went to the town and went to Tony for blood. Velmont reasoned as he put his stuff into his backpack and planned to make a trip to the city.”Gertrude could only nod and wait at the Citadel manor just in case she arrived or someone had gone missing. “We have an insane hungry creature lurking in a place littered with wolves. I'm starting to believe it's not a good choice to bring her kind here. Given that Mauritius will definitely hate us for this.” Gertrude commented. He sighs in distress, “We did it to solve the case and we got Vesper in our control it just so happened that she was attacked and we need to make it a secret that she needs blood. Aside from that, everything's going well. No more dead Omegas and we are nearing to see the big picture. What we need to know now is the inside person. That will b

I want you to reject her and break the bond.” Qillalon frowned, “No–”“—You have to.” Quillion roared at him. “You don’t know her—”“—And you do?” Qillalon inquired as he intently stared at his father. Quillion was at his wit's end. He wanted to tell his son the truth, but he knew it wouldn’t change his son’s mind. Instead of rejecting Vesper, he knew his son would hate him more for abandoning her in the Gobi Desert. On the other hand, if he tells Mauritius about Vesper and Mauritius kills her, his son might die with her. Is he that important to this investigation?” Vesper exclaimed.Gertrude sighed deeply and then clasped her hands. “Velmont, maybe it's time to tell her everything," she said.Vesper gritted her teeth and stared at Velmont, waiting for him to speak.“Let him go, and I’ll tell you everything about it.” He demanded.Gradually, Vesper let go of Quillion. “Let's sit this one out,” Gertrude suggested.Soon Velmont finally told them what they learned from their investigation.“We need all the help we can get. Though he had grown frail, his spirit remained strong, and his love for Vesper never wavered.Vesper, having regained her strength, devoted herself entirely to Qillalon. She hunted food for him when his body grew too weak, shared stories of their past battles, and held his hand as they watched the moon rise together.“Don’t I sicken you? I’m an old man now… You’re kissing an old man.” He said playfully, but Vesper understood the pain in his words. She shook her head, “I would never feel that way.
