As soon as Lucian entered his mansion, he made his way into the basement and killed Eli. There was no need to keep him alive. The man wasn't ready to disclose any secrets the Argents harbored. Felix was going to be livid but he was less concerned.

Thoughts about Anna Lucian banished. He needed to focus because he was rapidly losing his grip on his duties. Why hadn't he killed Walter back at Dunkin donuts? Everything would've ended right there for a long time before another leader of the Argents emerged.

Lucian stopped by at Petl's apartment and knocked. The door cracked open moments later to reveal a red-faced Petl. Her dark hair was a mess and her nose was red, from sniffling. He was suddenly concerned and pushed after her, entering her cozy apartment.

"What's wrong?"

The door closed with a click and Petl turned towards Lucian who looked so worried.

"What are you doing, Lucian? What are you doing with a human?"

Not again. Lucian thought. He huffed a breat
