Alice POV
***
In the darkness of night, the city lights shine brighter, like stars scattered across the universe.
Normally, it’s too late for girls to be out because parents rarely allow late-night outings. You could call it my lucky day.
A huge line of party-goers stretches outside the club. Laughter and chatter fill the air, hitting my ears. The sharp smell of alcohol and cigarettes invades my nostrils, making my wolf gag at my choice of place.
Tonight, I'm on a double date with my new boyfriend, Vick, and my high school best friends, Nathan and Kara—the hottest and cutest couple, according to college gossip groups.
Don’t get me wrong, I love them both. It’s just that the whole serious relationship drama isn’t my thing.
To me, it’s a waste of time and energy. I prefer to keep things casual, which is why I stick to one-night stands—no feelings, no attachments, and no baggage.
Vick is my current boy toy. He’s handsome, with bright blue eyes, blonde hair, and a messy hairstyle. He’s a foot taller than me, and his charming smile makes him perfectly my type. He also shares my no-strings philosophy, so there’s no heartbreak aftermath to worry about.
Inside the club, the music blasts so loudly that there’s no point in trying to gossip with my friends.
Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with them—whether it’s parties, study groups, or just hanging out. But tonight, I want to lose myself in the music. Besides, they have each other for company.
First things first, I need a drink to keep me sane. Vick and Nathan volunteer to grab drinks for us, while Kara and I settle on a black leather lounge near the bar.
I scan the room to make sure no one recognizes me. After last month’s horrible incident at Witching Hour—a nightclub in Los Angeles—I prefer to stay on alert.
Being from a royal family is troublesome most days. It's even worse when you’re the only heir to the throne of the realm of werewolves and Lycans.
A man sitting at a nearby table has been ogling us since we walked in. He’s tall, with tanned skin and glassy dark eyes. His aura screams “Alpha” loud and clear. Beside him sits a blonde girl, glaring daggers at me for no reason. Beside them is another man, built like the Alpha but with less authority in his aura—probably his Beta.
They don’t seem to be from any nearby territory, but I decide to ignore them. My plate is already full for the night.
I shift my gaze to Vick, who seems to be struggling to keep his composure. A girl at the bar is flirting with him, leaning into his space and sliding her arms around his neck. Poor Vick—he enjoys attention but can’t handle anyone trying to take control over him.
Classic male wolf problem.
He’s still new to this game and tries to gently push her away, but she isn’t taking the hint. She leans in closer, murmuring something into his ear, and starts kissing his neck.
Miss Blondie clearly has her eyes set on claiming him tonight.
I sigh and walk over, pushing her away from Vick—not gently. The girl shoots me a death glare and hisses, “What the—”
I cut her off mid-sentence with a low, commanding voice, laced with Alpha authority. “Stay away, bitch.”
She shudders.
Without sparing her another glance, I turn to Vick and ask, “You okay?”
He nods and mutters, “Thanks, babe,” before leaning forward and planting a quick peck on my lips. His arm slides around my waist, and he grins.
“Let’s go,” he says.
“Wait,” I interrupt, grabbing three shots from the bar. Gulping them down one after the other, I grab the last one, smiling and replying, “Okay, now we can go.”
He chuckles, shaking his head as he leads the way back to the table where Kara and Nathan don't seem to care much for drinks—or us.
My gaze shifts from them to the bunch sitting next to them, and my eyes meet that Alpha from earlier.
His eyes were on me when I entered the club, and now it’s starting to annoy me.
He smiles my way right before standing from his seat and moving toward me. My wolf growls a warning, and I freeze, wondering if he recognized me.
Before I can react, out of the blue, a hand grabs my wrist.
I whip my head around, glaring at the hand holding me. My free hand instinctively reaches for my drink, ready to hurl it, but the man starts dragging me toward the dance floor.
He’s strong—stronger than me—and takes me by surprise. I struggle, shouting over the music, “How dare y—”
The rest of the words stick in my throat when I look up.
Dark green eyes stare back at me, and my body freezes in place.
I should feel anger or humiliation at being manhandled, rage rising inside me, but also a strange sense of satisfaction settles over me for an unknown reason.
What the hell is wrong with me?
Normally, I hate when someone crosses my boundaries. I’ve fought countless times to protect my pride. But something about this guy is different.
Is he my mate?
No. Impossible. Werewolves don’t find their mates until they turn twenty, and I’m not there yet.
Still, I can’t look away.
The man towers over me, at least 6’4”, with a strong, muscular build. His raven-black hair and sharp jawline give him a god-like presence. His lips curve into a faint smile, and I feel a wave of embarrassment at how blatantly I’m staring.
I raise my chin, determined to meet his gaze with confidence, but my breath hitches when I notice the intensity of his eyes.
Every instinct screams at me to walk away. Run. Hide. But I stay still, forgetting how to breathe.
He leans closer, his voice a low, husky whisper. “It’s about time we met.”
My eyes widen.
His hand slides to the small of my back, sending an overwhelming heat rushing through me.
The world around me seems to disappear. The music, the chatter—everything fades. All I can hear is the thunderous pounding of my heart.
And then—
---
I wake up with a gasp, my heart racing like a bullet train. My body is drenched in sweat, and my head throbs painfully.
I look around, taking in the familiar pale walls of my room. Slowly, realization sinks in.
It was just a dream.
No. Not just a dream.
It was the first memory.
Of him.
The devil. The nightmare of my past.
My fated mate.

Alice POV ***I finish my meetings, manage the schedule for next week, and send an email with all the details to Max, the Prince of Dragonair (the realm of Dragons). We have been best friends since childhood and are also business companions. He is the only person I trust after Dad and Ellyn.Tonight, Dad and I are leaving for Entalia for tomorrow night’s ritual. I’m not getting any good vibes about it, but it has to be done.By the time I exit the office building, the sky has turned a dark shade of grey. With steady steps, I make my way toward my car in the parking space.I open my car door, and an alluring scent fills my nostrils. My wolf relaxes, drowning in the pleasure of the sweet, rich scent of earthy forest rain mixed with the masculine aroma of cologne. However, my mind goes into alert mode. My wolf, Rhea, and I both recognize this scent very well. There’s no mistaking it.It’s him.A sane part of my human mind screams for me to run—run away from this place, from this realm, a
Alice P.O.V *** I went downstairs and met my two best friends, Nate and Kara, there waiting for me. We hugged each other. They both turned out to be mates, which they found out a few days ago, and the good part was that they were happy with that latest update. Nate was looking handsome in his black tuxedo, which perfectly fit on his tall and well-built frame like a second skin, styled dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a wide grin plastered on his face. And Kara goes for a knee-length baby pink dress, which compliments her olive-colored skin, and light blue eyes, light make-up, silver-colored high heel, shoulder-length blond hair which hangs down, straight. Both asked in the union when they noticed my nervousness. “What’s wrong?” I shrugged and replied, “Just nervous, and as you guys know, MATE is not my thing.” Kara stepped towards me and tapped my shoulder, while saying with a wicked smirk, “Don’t worry babe, I bet moon go
Warning: This chapter contains sexual content and abusive behavior! *** Beautiful high mountains covered with greenery, river water looks as lustrous as a mirror, illuminated with golden and blue beams of Entalia’s Sun. Outskirt of the entire realm surrounded by dark & thick forest; sky-high length trees, and shiny magical protection fence. The entire realm’s landscape contained four main areas- Royal-high, Downtown, Officials quarters, and Royal Courtyard. Royal high, where royal members live in a luxurious and beautiful palace, a glass castle, at the top of black mountain heights. And they had servant quarters, for royal servants there as well. Surrounded by the endless beauty of nature, with waterfalls and greenery.
Warning: This chapter also contains sexual content and abusive behavior! I tasted a metallic liquid in my mouth- My Blood, and I lost the last bit of control I was hanging on. I bit his lower lip with equal force and was soon rewarded with a taste of his blood. My wolf took over my human mind. She couldn’t discriminate between right and wrong, because Rhea knew nothing more than that she wanted her mate. Now! She wanted to touch him, feel him, and seal a mate bond with him. I couldn’t blame her. It’s the primal need of a wolf, survival, and breeding. She couldn’t help her wolf nature, her possessiveness, hunger, lust, and her dominant side. It was in our blood. And that stupid tingle and the sexy sound of his growl only make it harder. He groaned in front of my lips
Gabriel P.O.V I popped open my eyes, panting heavily. My hand automatically reached the other side of the bed in search of someone. My mate! It was a habit of mine. But I found nothing there. It was empty. She wasn’t there. A sudden panic gripped me at this. A sigh passed my lips, and I kept my eyelids shut. I sat straight and turned the lights on and leaned my head back on the headboard before taking a deep breath in her heavenly scent to calm my nerves, which was still lingering in her entire room. Yes, I’m in her room, in her bed, more specifically. A failed attempt to calm my anger and my wolf, with her mere essence. Yeah, I knew she’s not here. Because she was out there somewhere, escaping from the monster of her ni
Alice P.O.V Warning (18+) scenes, this chapter contains hot sexual content...... leave if you are not interested... Just kidding... Enjoy! Consequences! One threat, every day of my escape, I prepared myself for this moment and always thought, how bad could his punishment go? Because I was not that stupid who thinks that a mere dungeon cell was strong enough to keep him locked for that long. Yeah! I was the one who drugged him with a wolf, spun, and locked him in a dungeon cell. Or what do you think? How I had managed to escape that hell. And now here I was, in front of the devil again and on the verge of death, but still stupid, stubborn, me not ready to lose. “Oh, don’t you
Alice P.O.V By the time I finished my hot bath, it was already dark outside. I stepped inside my room with a towel wrapped around me securely and noticed a beautiful emerald color dress laid proudly on my bed. I guess it came from Ellyn. Who knows my taste so well? It was a beautiful dress, a floor-length gown, shoulder-less with golden embroidery and crystal work on the top. I quickly dressed, set my hair in loose curls, wore a diamond necklace and white gold, sapphire ring. I was no fan of jewels; it was just to maintain a royal status. I checked my reflection in the mirror. Impressed by my job with my hair and light makeup, I applied with the help of one servant. Although with this dress, everything turned out perfect.
Alice P.O.V***Finally, the time comes for what everyone was waiting for, since the faces of some of us revealed, I can feel the anger-filled people in my kingdom as they all stand at the border of Entalia, and in front of them standing an army of witches. Staring at each other, hatred can be seen in everyone’s eyes for their opponents. It sounds crazy but where witches are fighting to prove their superiority over us, we are fighting to save what belongs to us, our home, our people’s. Whether we have different reasons for a fight but ending will be the same for most of us, bitter truth but nobody can do anything about it as we have to do our tasks.I looked downwards towards my hand when someone held me causing me to turn to look towards the two men who were
