Something tells me I already know what I'm going to find as soon as I enter Anya's house. And, sure enough, I find Klein in there, sitting in the living room as if he owns the fucking place.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" He demands as soon as he sees me, making my blood boil. All my instincts are awake and I clench my fists trying to contain my wolf, but it's almost impossible because I can't stop thinking that this son of a bitch was waiting for my mate in here.

She was going to come in all alone. He could have done anything to her.

"The question is, what the hell are you doing here, you idiot? Anya kicked you to the curb, that's where you should have stayed," I spit at him. Klein looks at me with even more hatred than I expected as he gets up from the couch to approach me slowly.

It's obvious that his wolf presence is out right now, just like mine.
