Chapter Seventy - Eight

MAX’S POV

It was like the baby literally just held on a bit for Amelia to come back to the Moon Castle and settle a bit before he chose to be born.

That night, we were sleeping peacefully beside one another when Amelia sat up suddenly. This alerted me and I got up. When she returned and Mum had the family Doctor examine her to see if Amelia had kept her word and was in perfect health, the doctor had told us that the baby was due anytime. So, we were all alert.

“What’s happening?” I asked her, placing an arm around her.

“I don’t know. I’ve been feeling the discomfort since last night, but I kept ignoring it. However, it’s there. I feel a great pain.”

“Think the baby wants to come?"

She nodded. “I think so. This is what the doctor said I’d feel.”
