With Jengo, after doing a bit of checkup on his end for the night- particularly towards any he may have overlooked while his head was filled with worries earlier- the male Beta was making his way to the guest house he had been staying at during his time in the Hermit Pack.

‘You seem calmer than usual,’ Jamal mused.

‘I do feel calm now,’ Jengo admitted. ‘You think it’s because I had that talk with Ellie?’

‘I’d say so. And if I may, that has to be the first time you actually interacted with her in a calm manner. Especially after the rejection.’

‘Pretty sure a rejection’s aftereffect does not last too long. Then again, what do I know about it?’

Now that things had been cleared up between him and Ellie, the guy had felt a bit at ease now. While he still planned to speak to William about their future together, at the very least, he didn’t need to worry about how Ellie will be treating him.
