Alpha King’s Blackwood POV
I paced back and forth in my opulent study, my mind consumed by a tempestuous blend of anger and desperation. Amelia had dared to defy me, to run away from the safety of my mansion with our unborn child. How could she be so foolish, so defiant? Did she not understand the magnitude of what she possessed—the key to breaking the curse that plagued me?My thoughts were interrupted by the haunting memories of the curse's malevolence. I could still vividly recall the horrors that transpired during the nights of the full moon, when the primal instincts overwhelmed me, turning me into a monstrous beast, devoid of reason or control. I had seen the terror in the eyes of my own pack members, the devastation left in the wake of my uncontrollable rage. As the alpha king, it was my duty to protect my pack, and yet, I had become the very embodiment of their fears. But now, with Amelia carrying our child, there was hope—a chance to break the curse, to regain control over my savage nature. She was the key, a vessel for the salvation of our kind. Yet, she saw me as nothing more than a cruel and heartless king, a tyrant whose sole purpose was to use her and our unborn child as a means to an end.I clenched my fists, my anger mounting. How dare she believe such lies? Did she not understand the weight of responsibility that rested on my shoulders? I loved my pack, and it was my duty to protect them at any cost—even if it meant sacrificing Amelia and our child to break the curse that plagued us all.A haunting scene played out in my mind—a city engulfed in chaos and destruction, its inhabitants fleeing in terror as I, in my monstrous form, ravaged everything in my path. The guilt washed over me like a tidal wave, threatening to drown me in remorse. How many innocent lives had been lost, how much suffering had been inflicted because of my curse? I couldn't bear the weight of that guilt any longer.I sank into my plush armchair, the weight of my decisions crushing me. Tears welled in my eyes, betraying the flicker of emotion that still resided within me. I wiped them away angrily, refusing to succumb to sentimentality. I had a duty to fulfill, and the price, no matter how steep, was inconsequential compared to the salvation of my pack.Suddenly, a knock resounded through the chamber, jolting me out of my torment. I composed myself, wiping away any trace of vulnerability from my face, before granting entry to my most trusted advisor, Adrian."Alpha king," he greeted, his voice laced with deference. "We have received word that Amelia has fled the mansion. She is nowhere to be found."A surge of anger coursed through my veins, mingling with a profound sense of disappointment. "Find her," I ordered, my voice filled with a dangerous edge. "I want her brought back, by any means necessary."Adrian bowed his head. "Yes, my king. We will search every corner, leave no stone unturned."I rose from my seat, my fury simmering beneath the surface. "If she is found, do not hesitate to use force. I will not tolerate betrayal."Adrian's gaze met mine, his unwavering loyalty etched into his features. "Understood, my king. We will not fail you."As Adrian left to carry out my command, I was left alone once more with my conflicted thoughts. The truth was, I loathed the path I had been forced to take. My heart ached at the thought of using Amelia and our unborn child as mere instruments to break the curse. But what choice did I haveI sat in silence for what felt like an eternity, lost in thought. The sound of Adrian's footsteps echoed in my study as he made his way towards the door, ready to carry out my command. But before he could leave, I spoke up."Adrian," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "What if... what if we don't find her? What if she's gone for good?"
Adrian paused, turning to face me. "My king, we will find her. We will search until our very last breath if we have to. But what do you plan to do when we find her?"
I smirked, revealing my wicked intentions. "We'll bring her back, of course. And if she resists, we'll make her regret it."
"But my king," Adrian protested, his expression a mixture of fear and confusion. "She's pregnant. We can't harm her or the child."
"Who said anything about harming them?" I sneered. "But we'll make sure she knows her place. She'll never dare to defy me again."
With that, Adrian left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts once again. I knew that I was being cruel and ruthless, but I didn't care. All that mattered was getting what I wanted, and I would stop at nothing to achieve it.
Days passed, and still there was no sign of Amelia. I grew restless, pacing the halls of my mansion, waiting for any news. Adrian had assembled the strongest werewolves in our pack, and they had scoured every inch of the city, but there was no trace of her.
I had begun to lose my patience, my mind consumed by thoughts of what could have happened to her. Had she been kidnapped? Had she fled the country? Or had she simply decided to abandon me and our child?
It was on the fourth day of her disappearance that I received a message from Adrian. He had found a lead, a witness who claimed to have seen her in a nearby town. I wasted no time in gathering the strongest werewolves, and we set out to find her.
As we traveled, I couldn't help but wonder what I would do once we found her. Would I torture her until she obeyed me? Would I kill her and the child to eliminate any threat to my reign?
The answer, it seemed, would have to wait. We arrived in the town to find that she was no longer there. Another dead end.
I was beginning to lose hope again, my anger and frustration boiling over. But then Adrian spoke up.
"My king, we have one more lead. There's a small village on the outskirts of the city. It's rumored to be a safe haven for those who wish to hide from the outside world. I believe it's worth investigating."
I nodded, a glimmer of hope igniting within me. "Let's go," I said, my voice filled with determination.
But as we journeyed towards the village, I knew that if Amelia was there, I would show her no mercy. She had crossed me, and now she would pay the ultimate price.
Amelia's POVI sat in the back of the taxi, my heart pounding in my chest as I stared out the window. It was hard to believe that I had actually escaped from the alpha king's mansion. After everything I had been through, it felt like a dream. As the taxi drove away from the mansion, I couldn't help but reflect on my stay there. I had been treated like a prisoner, kept under constant surveillance and told what to do every minute of the day. The alpha king had been cruel and cold, showing no compassion or kindness towards me.But why? Why would he be willing to sacrifice me and my unborn child to break the curse? It didn't make any sense. I couldn't understand why he would be so heartless, so willing to use us as mere tools to achieve his own desires. As I thought about it more, I realized that the curse must have been weighing heavily on him. It must have been the cause of his cruel behavior, his inability to control himself during the full moon. Perhaps he was afraid of what he might
Amelia’s POVThe sun beat down mercilessly, its rays scorching my weary body as I trudged along the desolate road. Each step became a laborious task, and my pregnant belly felt heavier with every passing moment. The weight of my circumstances pressed upon me, threatening to extinguish the flicker of hope that still burned within. The path ahead was treacherous, with jagged rocks and uneven terrain. I stumbled occasionally, my body weakened by exhaustion and the strain of carrying an unborn child. The pain radiated through my limbs, a constant reminder of the trials I had endured and the hardships that still awaited me.As I walked, my mind drifted to the town the taxi driver had described—a haven, a place where I could find solace and support. But doubts gnawed at me. What if the town was nothing more than a mirage, a figment of my desperate imagination? What if I arrived only to be met with closed doors and judgmental stares? The fear and uncertainty threatened to consume me, but I p
Amelia’s POVThe night wore on, and exhaustion finally claimed me. As I drifted into a fitful sleep, my dreams were filled with visions of both trepidation and possibility. I found myself standing at the edge of a precipice, staring into the abyss of uncertainty. But as I peered deeper, a flicker of light emerged, beckoning me forward.Morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a gentle glow upon the room. I awoke with a sense of purpose, ready to face the challenges that awaited me. I dressed, gathering my belongings, and prepared to leave the inn. Before departing, I sought out the innkeeper to express my gratitude. Her warm smile and words of encouragement filled me with a renewed sense of hope. She assured me that the townspeople would support me in whatever way they could and offered guidance on the safest route to continue my journey. With a heartfelt goodbye, I stepped onto the path that led away from the town, the direction I had been advised to take. The road stret
Amelia's POV Pain radiated through my body as I lay restrained on the cold stone floor. The Silvermoon Pack, led by Alpha Max Thompson, encircled me, their eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and resentment. I could sense their disdain for the alpha king, their hatred for his cruelty and wickedness. Alpha Max stepped forward, his gaze burning with a personal vendetta. "Amelia," he growled, his voice dripping with venom. "You have no idea what you mean to me. You hold the key to my ultimate triumph over Alexander Blackwood. As his luna, you will be my greatest weapon." Confusion mingled with the pain as I struggled to comprehend his words. Luna? What did he mean by that? The term held significance within the werewolf community—a mate, a partner chosen by the alpha to stand by their side. But how could I fulfill such a role when my heart longed for freedom, for a life far removed from the clutches of the alpha king? I mustered all the strength I had left, my voice quivering with a mi
Vanessa’s POV I moved with a sense of urgency, my hands trembling as I prepared a meager meal. But my mind was elsewhere, consumed by worry and fear for Amelia's safety.Weeks had passed since Amelia's daring escape from the clutches of the Alpha King, and I had been her confidante and ally since that fateful day. I had told her the truth about the curse that plagued the Alpha King, and I had done my best to guide and support her in her quest for freedom. As I stirred the pot, my thoughts drifted to Amelia's fate. I could feel a heavy weight in my heart, an ominous foreboding that gnawed at my soul. It had been so long since I had heard from her, and I feared the worst. Had she been caught by the Alpha King's soldiers? Was she safe? Was her unborn child safe?I longed to call her, to hear her voice and know that she was alright. But I had no way of reaching her. The Alpha King's reach was vast, and communication was closely monitored. I had to rely on hope and prayers that she was ab
Amelia’s POVThe days blended into nights as I found myself immersed in the enigmatic world of the Silvermoon Pack. Within the shelter of their sanctuary, I was a guest, an outsider seeking refuge and answers. Alpha Max Thompson and his pack members had welcomed me with guarded curiosity, their eyes filled with a mix of uncertainty and hope. They understood the significance of my presence—the potential for liberation from the alpha king's curse.Under Alpha Max's guidance, I delved deep into the knowledge of werewolf lore and the intricate workings of the bond between an alpha and their luna. We trained tirelessly, both physically and mentally, as I sought to unravel the connection that tied me to the alpha king. The Silvermoon Pack became my mentors, my protectors, and, begrudgingly, my confidantes.Days turned into weeks, and the bond between myself and the Silvermoon Pack grew stronger. They shared stories of their struggles under the alpha king's rule, of families torn apart and dr
Amelia's POV The moon hung high in the night sky, over the Silvermoon Pack's sanctuary. As I stood on the porch of where I was, a gentle breeze caressed my skin, carrying with it a mix of scents—pine, earth, and the faint trace of distant rain. The serenity of the night belied the tumultuous storm brewing within me. My thoughts were consumed by the alpha king—his magnetic presence, his dangerous allure. Despite the darkness that surrounded him, I couldn't deny the raw desire that coursed through my veins whenever his memory resurfaced. The memory of our encounter, the intoxicating blend of passion and danger, lingered in the recesses of my mind, tempting me with its forbidden fruit. But with desire came fear. The alpha king wanted me for his own twisted agenda, his thirst for power threatening to consume everything in his path. I had witnessed the cruelty of his reign, the pain and suffering inflicted upon his subjects. My heart knew the alpha king was a danger I could not afford to
Alpha Max's POV She kept sidelining my desires to have her as my Luna. All my efforts seem to be in vain and I can't fathom how deep the connection between her and the Alpha King was. I paced about the room thinking on ways to cajole her to do my bidding. Haven't I been nice enough to her? Or hasn't the park done so much for her? Without her, my plans can't be in motion. Still lost in my thoughts, I felt a light pat on my shoulder, I turned and saw Ryan, my advisor and Beta of our park. "What do you have on your mind that made you lose touch with your environment?" He asked. "I have been standing there for the past five minutes and you didn't seem to notice," he added, pointing at the doorpost. "You know you can always talk to me, right?" He said with a little smile. "I just have a lot on my mind. It's been a month since Amelia joined our pack and Ethan is two weeks old, isn't it enough time for Amelia to see the sincerity of my heart. She doesn't seem to be yielding in my favor,
Amelia's POVI sat on the armchair with a book on interior designing as I have an exam due in two days.Instead of reading the book before me, I sat in reflection as how the years, going by had been to me and my family. I sat as I watched them throw a ball at each other and with each pass comes a funny banter between the two siblings.I watched Alex in admiration as how growth and development can change someone into something unrecognisable. He was growing and revolving and the result are just beautiful."Papa!" Ethan yelled at Alex after the ball Alex threw hit him on the face."Sorry, son!" Alex apologized, laughing devily."Ethan! You can't let him get away with what he did! Take this and throw it at him! Be careful, boy!" Hailey said as she passed him a dirty ball that she held by the tip."Shit, Ethan!" He yelled in anger."Oops, sorry uncle Adrian!" Ethan said quietly to Adrian who just walked into the garden and got hit by the ball on the face."Oh please, spare kee that!" He g
The Alpha King's POVI could slowly feel that pain, that torment, the torture that comes with this day. The day that brings embarrassment and disappointment to the people of and people in Blackwood pack.I need to escape, I can't let Amelia see what I become once I change to what people call me. I need an escape. But didn't Vivian say the end had come but what was this?I shouldn't feel like this if the end had truly come. I feel miserable and just not myself, I could feel my inside crawling at an insane speed. My inside was in a turmoil.I need an escape. I need to leave this pack before the inevitable happens, hopefully this time around, escaping will help. The symptoms and signs were ten times than usual, I was struggling. I need to break free, an escape. I suddenly opened my eyes to get out of bed but my eyes met the calmest hazel eyes staring back at mine before the face broke into a smile upon seeing my opened eyes. What is this? I just stared back at her."Happy birthday, swe
Amelia's POVI excitedly went about arranging and putting in orders things needed for the birthday. I wanted this to be a remarkable one, the beginning of a new beginning in our lives. The bonds between Ethan and Alex was fast growing, they go no day with being together. They always have something to do together and my heart knows no greater happiness, to see my child receive the fatherly love he deserves a d need for his growth. I was deprived of that and I just too excited about this.I walked into the kitchen with a big smile as I greeted the staff and walked up to where the foodstuffs and items for the big day was. "There is enough fruits, that's nice!" I said to myself as I walked about the store."Do you think this bacon will be enough for the big breakfast?" I asked the young lady who was in charge."Yes, my lady!" She said with a bow."Oh please, come off this! My lady? Amelia is enough!" I said to her."Huh? Qu…" She uttered as I cut her short."Don't even try that weird com
Amelia's POVIf I could count days through this dimly litted room, I would have come to know what day and time it was. Or maybe it still the same fucking day and just because I have been waiting for long I think I have spent a month here. Just maybe."I thought Adrian was going to bust open this place immediately them noticed our disappearance!" Hailey said with a little giggle."You giggle isn't alone, I also share from that," I quietly told her."Really? Towards the Alpha king?" She asked me, I could imagine her turning her head to face me. "Yeah, he had been so sweet lately so… just as I had predicted of myself, I am beginning to expect a lot from him. Like save me from this room where I can't even see your face talk less of my hands. Burst the door up and get me like a damsel in distress, just the fictional part!" I said to her as I heard her breath deeply."I hated him at first and I still do. He literally broke me into two then fixed me back. I wish to get out of here so I can
The Alpha King's POV "What do you mean by you can't find Amelia?" I yelled as I got up immediately.. "What the fuck is going on?" I asked him."It happened when Silvermoon pack attacked us with the rest of the other district belonging to the Moons. A fraction of them broke into the pack house and attacked those who were in the house!" He explained."Who the fuck allowed such a ridiculous thing to happen? Where were the guards?" I asked as I threw the chair I was seating in before at one of the men that attacked us."We are still investigating it! I specifically told Adams and his men to wait and guard the pack house," Darius informed me."Where is Alex and his men?" I asked him furiously."I have detained them at the pack house!" He said to me."Why the pack house? Why? Why not the dungeon, Darius?" I yelled at him as I pulled him away and walked to the car available, dragging my gun with me."Hey, Alex! Wait! Hold up!" I heard from behind me and I could tell it was Adrian but that
Amelia's POV We heard a very loud sound. "What could that be? Why is the pack house dry and somehow deserted?" I asked, looking around, something clicked in my head. "Let's get you to safety! We don't know what is going on!" I said to Vanessa as I led the way back to my room so I can give Ethan to Vanessa while we wait and check what's going on. "What about you? Hailey?" She called as I placed my hands around her shoulder and led her through the passage that led to the rooms with Hailey closely behind us. "Granny! You will be fine! I am not going anywhere, we just need to check if things are alright," she said from behind. Vanessa nodded quietly. "You can hear those loud sounds, to me, it sounds like a gunshot," Hailey added, looking around. Just then the loud piercing alarm went off, this was always used to address the people and this has to be an alarm for danger. I picked Ethan and together we went to the basement. I located a room there that was out of this world a few d
Amelia's POVI stood still, overlooking the woods as I just munched on a diced fruit brought from the kitchen. Fruit had been my companion and best friend since Vivian left the pack. "Miss Amelia, your food is here!" I heard as I turned back to see who the hell just disturbed my peace."And what did I tell you about bringing food for me?" I asked her. I am okay with the fruits."The Alpha King ordered me to bring this for you and he said you must have a taste of it, else he will shove it down your throat," she said to me. Wow! Funny! Isn't that funny?"And I might as well shove it down his ass!" I yelled at her. She tried not to laugh as she quickly dropped the tray containing the food."What the fuck are you doing?" I asked her as I moved closer to her.She slowly opened the lid of one of the bowls placed on the tray. Before me was a familiar soup that I can't remember where and how or with who I had that nor can I remember when."What is this?" I asked her, pointing at the soup."
The Alpha King's POV"Right all that is wrong, Alex! Right them so you can be free. Remember it was your father's behavior and attitude that made you go through all this. You have a n now, do you want him to go through the same thing? Who knows who might be after him when you are gone. Barbara was after your life and thank the holy goddess that she made this so easy for you. Bond with your son so you can be normal, is that so hard to do?" Adrian asked me before picking a sword. Swirled it around before diving in for a fight with one of the guys.He was right in all he has said but wait… did he just call me abnormal? This is why familiarity isn't supposed to be allowed in my premises.I picked up a sword and gestured for the guys to be away."So let this 'abnormal' guy show you how it is done!" I said to him, adding emphasis on the word."What does the abnormal guy know? He doesn't lift a finger! Never has and never will, I have been doing this before you were born so what do you know?
The Alpha King's POV"Don't let her know the bouquet of flowers and food tray is from me! Do I make myself clear?" I asked the delivery guy as I pointed out what I wanted him to get to Amelia for me."Yes, my lord! Miss Amelia Brown, right?" He asked again for the umpteenth time."Are you sure you are competent? Can you do the work?" I asked him, looking at him awfully."Yes, my lord! It's an honor to work for you my lord!" He said with a bright smile."It's no honor, because you aren't working for me but your boss. You are only delivering my order that your boss told you to come get and do the work. But you don't look competent to do this job! If that bouquet of flowers and food tray gets to the wrong person, you will have yourself to blame and you will implicate your boss," I said to him, shattering his heart. I watched as his bright smile turned upside down, such is life."Yes, my lord!" He replied slowly and sadly with no enthusiasm as before."Yeah, do a great job and I might as
