I looked to the left then to the right as I took the turn that leads to the courtroom.

“Why did you finally agree to the meeting?” Adrian asked still looking into his phone.

“I just feel bored and their bantering could in one way excite me!” I said to him.

“I am not surprised!” He stated.

“I don’t want you to be,” I said to him as the room came into view.

“What do you expect?” He asked me as I turned to look at him again, still on his phone.

“Who have you been texting vigorously since we started this journey? Your mate?” I asked me as he turned to look at me sharply.

“No!” He simply said but it was sharper than a newly sharpened sword.

“That was quick and piercing!” I said to him.

“Aren’t you interested in finding your mate?” I asked him as I stopped barely some feet away from the entrance door of the courtroom.
