CHAPTER 28

“Ugh! It’s loud,” she said softly as she touched her head and blinked her eyes multiple times trying to adjust her eyes to the lightening of the room.

“It’s too bright, where am I?” she asked confused.

“Don’t you remember anything?” Alex asked as held her hand.

“Not really, the last thing I remember is walking into my room after dinner,” Elosie said in a weak voice.

“You don’t remember leaving the pack?” Alex asked.

“No, why should I remember leaving the pack? Why would I leave the pack?” Elosie asked confused.

“You don’t remember anything?” Alex asked again.

“No, I don’t. what is going on? why am I in the hospital?” Elosie asked Alex.

“We found you barely breathing and we rushed you here,” Alex said his voice full of grief.

“How long have I been here, I had the weirdest dream,” Elosie said.

“You’ve been here for three days, what dream did you have?” Maya answered her.

Elosie realized Maya, Nelson, Alex and Maria were all in the room with worried looks across their faces.
