Chapter 4

"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly.

Amelia stared at him in silence, sat up, and stared at him with disbelief in her eyes. All the things that had happened today went so fast that it looked like one was in a dream.

"Erin, is this you?" She asked for the umpteenth time, but this time different from those times she would have to say it with a wavering and shaky voice. Her eyes flashed some glint in them as they stared at the man before them with unspeakable emotion.

"Yes, it's m-" before he could finish what he was about to say, he felt crips on his cheek but he didn't dare turn or touch it as he stared at the woman before him.

He was filled with complicated emotions but he didn't voice them out. He just wanted her to let it all out, all her worries, fear, hate, and such at him. He wanted her to call him a jerk and asshole that fled away 6 years ago. He just wanted her to empty the hate in her heart although he knew it wasn't something so easy.

"You dare still come back after all these years?!, W-what do you take me for…as …as a tool or a toy for you to use and dump? You broke my heart, Erin! You tore it to pieces the night you left without leaving a word! You made me suffer for 6 good years wasting half of my life thinking about you…Erin… Why! Why! Why! Why!" She cried out In sorrow, hitting him fiercely on his chest. He felt lost, he tried speaking out that he had always been there with her, that had been with her all these years. It just wasn't his fault that he left her. 

He wanted to touch her silky hair and confronted her broken heart but… he knew he wasn't worthy of it anymore. He lost her the day he left her all alone.

"You can curse at me later but we have to get out of here, right now Amelia!" He held her tightly. His teeth gritted and his eyes turned halo blue as they stared at her, she felt hypnotized and went quiet.

He sighed heavily, on seeing this. He swooped her in his arms as he dashed ahead deeper into the forest.

"I am so sorry, I never wanted to use this effect on you… this is the beast you call your fiance, this was the reason why I disappeared, I never wanted you to see me like this, "He said softly, running faster than light and heading south away from their previous position.

Soon, two figures appeared where they were earlier and scanned their touch light on the floor, a trace of blood was on the floor, and there were footsteps on the floor too like they were struggling.

"inform the headquarters that the culprit's whereabouts are located." A blonde-haired man said towards the bald head man behind him. His voice was friendly but stern.

"On it sir!" The man replied by taking out his phone, dialing a number, and connecting it.

"It seems I don't have to search aimlessly anymore," An evil grin appeared on his 'friendly' face. If Amelia was here she would have recognized him as the man who spoke to her earlier.

I never wanted to leave but I had no choice but to leave her!

Erin gritted his teeth as images flashed over. The time he met her, took her, and felt her. The promises he made and the engagement ring which was still on her ring finger.

He planned to marry her but an accident happened.

***6 years ago***

Inside an underground basement, more like a huge lab. Different people in lab coats walked around aimlessly with files in their hands, and guards in black with a mask on their faces walked 24 hours like they were guarding something very important. Walking forward a female scientist picked up a file and headed towards the northern part of the base, her heels clipping as they climbed the stairs.

"Test subject's data Analysis requested," she said towards the mouthpiece.

"Copy that," a deep voice answered from the other line. Making a left turn a place white hallway appeared before her, she strode ahead passing rows of doors with numbers on them. After walking for about 6 minutes she stopped in front of a door with the number, '1000'. She pressed some codes and a mini camera appeared before her.

*Please make an eye check*

The female robotic voice instructed, she stepped forward a little and a grin light scanned her right eyeball*Lora Leigh, checked! Access approved!* The door opened and she strolled into the section where this place was quieter and less filled with people. She headed forwards as lots of scientists walked past her their minds occupied with things but she wasn't concerned about that. Just as she was about to make a turn a beep rang out from the instrument on her ear.

Beep!!

"Yes?!" She asked, pressing on the mouthpiece.

"Subject awake" The voice earlier said.

"State?" She asked.

"Confused," he replied.

"I'll be right there," she said as she quickened. Passing rows of doors she stopped on another one, with an *a1' tag on it. This time there was no machine to scan her, so she pushed the door and walked in.

"How is the subject?" She asked immediately as she approached the group of people in the labs. They all stared at her with envy and fear in their eyes.

"The subject has woken up but its mind Is in a state of confusion," A Chubby said, pointing towards the monitoring glass where a huge tube stood in the middle of an empty room. And inside this tube was a man with icy blue eyes staring back at them hatefully.

Lora chuckled on seeing this," I guess we have a tough one here, get me my equipment, a baby needs a mama!" 

It's time to deal with some things!

Erin was on his way to New York to check on the discovery of his parents but he met Lisa (Antagonist) who gave him an address and that was the last heard of him. It was then revealed that Lisa was a scientist working for an evil underground organization.
