~Otsana

*AT THE PARTY*

We got out of the car, and immediately, everyone’s attention was drawn to us. The stares from all around made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I clung tightly to Ralph’s arm, as if afraid the wind might whisk me away if I let go.

I swallowed hard, trying to process the situation. The way people, especially women, were looking at us made me feel self-conscious. I knew Ralph was popular, but I had never realized just how much until now.

I felt Ralph’s breath on my neck as he leaned in and whispered, “Don’t overthink it. Just stay close to me, and we’ll get through this night together.”

I nodded in response, realizing I had no choice but to follow his lead. With no one else around and everyone’s eyes on me like I was an outsider, it felt like I had no other option.

We walked into the main hall where the party was taking place. Since it was a charity event, the room was filled with wealthy and influential people.

“Welcome, Alpha Ralph,” came a warm greeting.

~RalphThe auctioneer stepped up with a list of items to be auctioned off for charity. As he entered the room, everyone, including me, applauded. He held a microphone in his hands, and the items he presented were stunning.“Thank you all for the warm welcome,” he said into the microphone. “As you know, this charity event is a well-established tradition, so let’s get started with the auction.”The crowd clapped again as he moved to the first item. He raised the microphone to his mouth and announced, “Our first item is a very rare vase. This piece has been passed down through generations and is considered an antique.”“Oooh!” the audience responded in awe.It was no surprise that people were excited; antique items always attracted a lot of interest. I could tell that everyone had heard the news and decided this was the perfect occasion to showcase such a valuable piece.“I’ll start the bidding at $250,” the auctioneer announced, addressing the audience. “Who’s willing to bid $250 for th

~OtsanaWe both flinched at the sound of Ralph's loud voice. I must have been so caught up in my emotions that I hadn’t even noticed he was there. The last thing I wanted was for Callan to get into trouble because of this.Ralph marched toward us, his footsteps heavy and filled with anger. It was clear from his body language that he was on the verge of losing his temper.“Um… I was just trying to protect her from the cold,” Callan said, his voice slightly defensive. “It’s really chilly out here, so I offered her my jacket to help her stay warm.”Ralph’s expression made it obvious that he wasn’t convinced, even though Callan’s explanation was entirely truthful. Ralph didn’t say a word at first, instead slowly raising his eyelids to regard us with a look of frustration. After taking a deep breath to steady himself, Ralph finally spoke. “Just get the car ready. We’re leaving anyway.”His tone left no room for argument, and it was clear that we needed to wrap things up quickly.Ralph walk

~Otsana "Excuse me?" he repeated, his tone laced with confusion. In that moment, I felt completely foolish. My mind went blank, and I couldn't string together a single coherent sentence. Embarrassment washed over me, especially after my impulsive outburst. Before I could even attempt to recover, Ralph appeared, walking over with an air of authority that only added to my anxiety. “What’s going on here? I hope you’re not bothering my guest, Otsana?” he asked, his voice sharp enough to make me jump. Guest? My mind reeled at the word. Just yesterday, Ralph and this man had seemed like sworn enemies, yet here they were, acting like old friends. The shift was so sudden that I struggled to comprehend it. The man beside me chuckled softly, diffusing the tension. “Oh, she’s not bothering me at all,” he said, his voice smooth and reassuring. “We were just talking about the bracelet. I wanted it, but I suppose losing to you wasn’t so bad after all.” I looked up at him, surprised by his unex

~Otsana I stared at him, puzzled by his strange response. His voice had carried an unsettling tone, and I was unsure how to react. Suddenly, he burst into laughter, shaking me from my confusion. Seeing his amusement, I couldn’t help but laugh along, though I was still bewildered by his behavior. “You should have seen your face,” he chuckled. “You looked like I was about to eat you or something. Seriously, calm down. I don't have time for all this drama.” With that, he dropped the bow and arrow and walked away, leaving Kate and me exchanging puzzled glances. His odd behavior was starting to get on my nerves, and I wondered how long he’d be around. “Such a weirdo,” I muttered under my breath, returning to my practice as I tried to shake off the strange encounter. “You're getting better at this,” a familiar voice said, causing me to turn and see Ralph walking toward us with his hands tucked into his pockets. Oh no! Was he going to punish me for practicing archery? He had no idea I’

~ Ralph I felt a surge of anger building up inside me as I watched her intently. She was staring at him while he cooked, and a familiar sense of irritation took hold. I didn’t like the way they were looking at each other, nor did I appreciate the way she smiled at him. The sight of her expression only fueled my anger. “So, you really like this, huh? A man who can cook for you and do things that you enjoy?” I asked sharply. She turned to me, confusion evident on her face. “I don’t mean it like that,” she said quickly. “I just think it’s nice that he can do things on his own and isn’t just waiting around for someone else to do them for him.” “So you think the others can’t do things for themselves?” I interrupted, not giving her a chance to finish. She tried to clarify, but I wasn’t in the mood to listen. Instead, I grabbed an apron and tied it around myself, ready to jump into the situation. “Let me show you what a real man can do in the kitchen,” I said with determination. She loo

Otsana "You absolutely have to teach me how to make this dish! I need to know the recipe because it tastes just incredible," I exclaimed, savoring every single bite as the flavors danced on my tongue. Alec chuckled softly, watching me with a look of amusement in his eyes as I devoured the meal with enthusiasm. His gaze lingered on me longer than I expected, and I suddenly felt a bit self-conscious. Was I eating too fast? Did I have something on my face? Or maybe I was doing something wrong that I hadn’t noticed? "Is everything okay?" I asked, unable to hide the growing unease I felt under his steady, almost intense, stare. He shook his head slightly and smiled. "Don't worry about it. I'm just... fascinated, I suppose. It's not often I see someone enjoying my cooking this much." I couldn't help but laugh, finding it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't appreciate his culinary skills. "You must be joking! This is absolutely amazing," I said, my voice filled with genuine admiration.

~Ralph At that moment, I felt completely lost. The weight of everything that was happening was pressing down on me, threatening to crush me under its sheer force. The situation was spiraling out of control, and despite all the power I wielded as the alpha, I felt helpless. There was only one person I could think of who might be able to help, and the thought of relying on him made my stomach turn. Alec, with that insufferable grin plastered across his face, sat down across from me. It was as if he was enjoying my misery, relishing the fact that I was now the one coming to him. The smug look in his eyes made me want to rip him apart, but I couldn’t afford to let my emotions get the better of me. I had to play this carefully. “What’s up?” he asked casually, as if we were old friends catching up over drinks instead of facing a life-and-death crisis. His nonchalance only fueled my anger, but I forced myself to remain calm. Losing my temper wouldn’t do me any good right now. I glanced ov

~Otsana "A day into the Rogue attack" I felt my heart racing as I ran through the forest, with Kate by my side. The sounds of battle echoed around us as the rogues attacked our pack. I could hear the snarls and growls of the enemy wolves, their vicious attacks on my fellow pack members. I knew I had to find somewhere to hide, but where? Every direction I turned seemed to lead to danger. I looked at Kate, her eyes wide with fear. "We have to find somewhere to hide," I whispered, my voice shaking. "They're everywhere." We ran deeper into the forest, branches and leaves scratching at our faces as we tried to escape the chaos. The sounds of battle grew more distant, but I knew the rogues were still close. Suddenly, I heard the rustling of leaves behind us. I spun around, my heart in my throat. There, standing just a few feet away, was a rogue wolf, its fur matted with blood. I let out a scream and stumbled backward, tripping over a root. As I fell, I caught a glimpse of the rogue lun

The sun was bright overhead, the sky a brilliant blue.As I stood there, I saw a car approaching, its engine rumbling as it made its way toward the compound.I turned to Callan, my Beta, who stood beside me."Are we expecting anyone today?" I asked, my brow furrowing in confusion.Callan shook his head, his expression serious."No, Alpha," he said, his voice tense and cautious."We aren't expecting anyone," he continued, his eyes narrowed with suspicion. "But I've already sent word to all the neighboring packs, including Noah, the Lycan king. They should be arriving any moment now. The battle is in five days, after all."My jaw tightened, a sense of unease washing over me."Keep an eye on whoever it is," I said, my voice firm and commanding. ~SophiaI sat in the moonlight oack's garden with my father, my mind swirling with questions and doubts."Father," I said, my voice hesitant. "Why are you so determined to marry me off to Alpha Ralph? You seem so bent on this alliance."He smiled, a cold and calculating gleam in his eyes."Sophia," he said, his voice low and smooth. "I am doing this for the good of our pack. You see, if you marry Ralph, it will create a powerful alliance between the Moonlight and Greyhound Pack."And with that alliance," my father continued, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone, "we can conquer the Dark Shadow Pack." "The Dark Shadow Pack sits on a valuable piece of land that would greatly expand the territory of our own pack. And with you married to Ralph, we will have the manpower and resources to take it."I swallowed hard, my stomach churning with fear.As if on cue, my phone began to ring in my hand. I smiled, grateful for the distraction."Excuse me, Father," I said, standing from my seat.

~RalphThe council chamber was silent, the air heavy with tension. The elders sat in a semi-circle, their faces carved with age and wisdom, their eyes fixed on the confrontation unfolding before them."I will not marry your daughter, Sophia," I declared, my voice a hammer to the table. "Whatever agreement the council made, I will not abide by it."Alpha Grayson slammed his fist on the table, his face twisted in rage. "This is an insult," he snarled, his eyes blazing. "I saved your life, and you repay me with defiance?""I do not owe you my life," I growled, my own fury rising to meet his. "And I certainly do not owe you my future."Grayson stood, his body rigid with indignation. "You are a fool," he spat, his voice trembling with rage. "You think you can defy me, and there will be no consequences?"The elders exchanged worried glances, their eyes darting between us like a spark of flame."Enough," one of the elders said, his voice a balm to the heated argument."We did not bring you h

Alpha Ralph's dismissal had left me feeling dejected, I was a fool to ever think he'd fall in love with someone like me."Otsana."I turned, surprised to see Tabitha, the head maid, standing behind me. "Someone from Moonlight Pack, wishes to speak with you."My heart quickened in my chest. Someone from the Moonlight pack? That's my former pack, what could the person want?"Tabitha extended a hand towards the Alpha's residence, her expression enigmatic. "They are waiting in the study," she said, a curious lilt to her voice. "I cannot say more than that."I followed her down the path, my mind racing with possibilities. Who could it be that wanted to speak with me? Had I offended someone without realizing it? Or could it be something more?I stepped into the Alpha's residence, my gaze falling on Kate, as she struggled with a tray of used plates. For a moment, I thought she might

Jasper lay on the floor, his body broken and bloody. He was panting, his eyes glassy with pain. "No more," he whispered, his voice hoarse and strained. "You win, Alpha Ralph. I yield." I nodded, my body still trembling from the exertion of the fight. I turned to face the crowd, my eyes sweeping over the wolves that had rallied to my side. "We have won," I said, my voice loud and clear. "Jasper has conceded defeat, and the throne is rightfully mine once more." The wolves howled in celebration, their voices rising up into the rafters. The Seer stood at my side, her eyes shining with pride. "But the fight is not over," I continued. "We must ensure that Jasper is held accountable for his crimes. "Callan," I said, turning to face my Beta. "As my Beta and my advisor, I want you to see to it that Jasper
