Chapter 2: I Need Relief

“What are you wanting to get into tonight anyway?” Luca said while shoveling a spoonful of oatmeal into his mouth. I looked at him in disgust.

“Is that oatmeal? It’s dinner time.” I hate oatmeal, no matter what time of the day it is.

“Mind your business.” Luca shoved another spoonful of oatmeal in his mouth. I couldn’t help but to roll my eyes. I sighed.

           

“I don’t know, man. Let's just go for a ride and see where we end up.” I answered Luca’s question from earlier.

“You want to head toward the city?” Luca questioned.

The mythical lands have no blacktop within miles. Even outside the veil you have to travel at least twenty miles on overgrown dirt roads to make it to the nearest main road.

“Yeah, I have to get out of here for a while. I feel like I am suffocating.”

Luca turned his bowl up to his mouth, finishing off the last of his oatmeal. I held back a gag. Turning my back to Luca, I headed to the closest exit from the dining room. Luca scrambled to catch up.

“Damn, someone is in a hurry. I told you to just catch one of those girls that is always trying to get your attention. I don’t think they would mind satisfying you. Hell, the way they act, I bet it would be a dream come true.”

Hell no. That shit will never happen again.

“You know why. I’m not getting in the middle of another fight between jealous females just because I am sexually frustrated.” Luca laughed out loud.

I remembered all too well what happened that day.

“Man, that was the greatest. I’ll never forget watching you get clocked in the side of the head by Mira by accident, while standing in between her and Kyra. Those two females were having it out over you man. The look on your face was priceless. Especially when Kyra tried to pull Mira’s hair but got yours instead. She jerked you straight to the ground.”

Luca was laughing so hard tears were streaming down his face.

“Yeah, yeah, you asshole. Fucking let it go already, damn.” I said. I am getting tired of everyone always bringing it up. It was that day that I decided to take care of my manly needs anywhere else but the mythical lands. “If you don’t stop bringing that shit up, I am going to tell them both that you're interested in a good time.” I laughed at my idea of getting back at Luca for always teasing me about the two girls. “What would you do if Mira showed up at your room, ready to get it on, then get surprised when she notices Kyra was there for the same thing?”

I raised a brow and looked him straight in his eyes. It was a silent promise. If Luca kept up his teasing, I wouldn’t hesitate to follow through with my threat. Luca’s face paled. Then he picked up his pace, speed walking toward the area behind the castle. There’s a section that is used as a flight deck, for incoming and outgoing dragons. It’s big enough to allow dragons to shift without concern of damaging something or getting hurt.

“Nah, nah… I want none of that ass. It’s not even worth it.” I grinned. I knew exactly how to shut Luca up. “Let’s just stay away from humans. I heard some of those females have something called syphilis.” Arriving on the field, they prepared to shift.

           

“You know that dragons can’t get a sexually transmitted diseases, right?” Luca pinned his gaze on me. Trying to read my expression.

“So, you're telling me that you would be okay diving headfirst into a human female that has syphilis. I didn’t know you were that desperate.” I shook my head at Luca’s question.

“Fuck no! I was just trying to educate you a little. I worry about your ability to function sometimes.”

I slapped Luca on the back and stepped away from him.

“So, what are you saying?” Luca questioned.

Sincere confusion covered his features. I laughed but didn’t look back at Luca as I spoke.

“You will figure it out.” Maybe, I said under my breath. I appreciate my closest friend. We grew up together and I would do anything for Luca. Luca wasn’t dumb, but some things flew over his head. I decided to change the subject. “So, what type of female do you prefer then, if not human?” I asked Luca. “I assume you wanted to revisit that sexy female ogre that almost crushed you the last time.”

I thought I would bring up one of Luca’s more embarrassing moments, since he never hesitated to bring up mine. Luca became strangled. He patted his own chest as he tried to cough to clear his lungs. With a red face and watering eyes Luca finally spoke with a strained voice.

“You don’t think she will be there, do you?” Fear overwhelming his features.

You could tell exactly what Luca was feeling just by the look on his face. I laughed.

“Man, I don’t even know where we are going. I was just messing with you, though I noticed you checking out her oversized hoop nose ring.” I continued to tease.

“Dude, shut the fuck up. I can’t get the image of her pierced nipples out of my head!” Luca ran his hands down his face.

“How do you know that? I thought you ran from her.”

“Dude, I tried to run, and she caught me by the back of my shirt and jerked me back. Her damn tongue was hanging out of her mouth as she jerked her shirt up. One of her tits bounced and nearly knocked me out, I was seeing stars, Ryder! You don’t want to be flashed by an Ogre, believe me. Her nipples…” Luca paused as if remembering something. “Ogres are not my thing.” Luca exclaimed.

“What? You could always use that nose ring for leverage, or just to hang on.” I said, waiting for Luca’s retort. His visibility shook all over, then looked at me as if he couldn’t believe I had just said that. I laughed out loud. “What’s wrong, Luca? Oh, you're thinking about it, aren’t you?” I continued to tease him.

His brows pressed together, and his top lip raised up on one side, as if he was disgusted.

“I wish I could kick your ass.”

I was out of breath from laughing so hard. I braced myself, putting both palms on my knees. I laughed till my ribs hurt. I am usually not one to sling jokes or tease, but Luca asked for it.

“Then what race are you into then?” I asked, genuinely curious.

“Ahh…” Luca looked up as if in deep lust filled thought. “I like me a hot little witch.”

“Why though? I expect they would be the type to tie a man to a bed and never let them go.” I said.

“Oh, you have no idea. Some of those little babies can turn into anything.”

My head snapped toward Luca, horrified at the images now flashing through my head.

“What the fuck? I didn’t even want to know that Luca, damn!”

“You’re the one who asked, and don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”

I shivered at the thought of what Luca just said, and it wasn’t the good kind of shivers.

“You’re crazy as hell if you think there's a possibility of me ever being interested in anything like that.” I told him.

“Well, what’s your type anyway, Fae?” Luca asked me.

“I don’t know man. I really don’t care as long as they have a human form, they aren't a strange color, they don’t have tusks, and their eyes aren’t straight black.” I answered him.

“Ah… Exotic.” Luca said with a smirk on his face.

“Shut up Luca! Your horny ass would fuck any female. Even if she was one of those strange new races with the mini heads and huge bodies.” Luca bent over laughing.

“Well… if she has a nice rack, maybe.” Luca admitted. “Ain't no shame in my game.” Luca said.

“You can say that all you want, but it doesn't make it true.” I said.

Stepping back again, I prepared to shift.
