Kane's POV I wake up several hours later from Adare’s screaming. I am still tired, but I feel much better, and my mind is clearer. “Come on big boy,” I lean over the cot and pick him up. “It’s not that bad, is it? I bet you’re hungry, hm? In need of some meat?” I don’t know what else to do, other than to treat this as I would a normal first shift.
