Irene's POV

That was a close call, Ethan's father would have recognized me, I was wondering how he got to know me by just staring at my face. This means that he has a past with my family which I'm going to find out no matter the cost because it has a lot to do with my future.

I drove my truck back to the cabin, parked it by the right side and got into the house, picked up my notebook that told me about everything I needed to know. I flipped the pages as usual, surprised to see my mother sitting beside me and watching my father get killed by a paw.

I compared the paw in the notebook to that in the books I read about werewolves. It wasn't exactly thiers, which made a bit tensed. What must have been the beast that killed my father, with my mother sitting and watching as he was murdered it meant that she knew what killed him, she definitely would have to tell me what I need to know about my father or face my wrath.
