It's been three days since Charlotte disappeared, and there's no trace of her.

Her family is furious with me and blames me for her absence.

And I deserved it. I neglected her safety; I was mad at her for forcing me to mate with her.

In my own bubble, grieving over the loss of my mate, it was me who let her slip out of my hand. I was immature and full of myself.

I could not see that I couldn't be happy without my fated mate.I have lost her forever; she belongs to another man, and it's all my fault if I accepted her that night; none of this would have happened.
