I had totally forgotten that little Damien was in the room as I had let go of the tears that I have been keeping for a while now.

I had lost control of my emotions and just let them out.

"Tell me mother why are you crying? What exactly is going on?" He inquired like a detective.

Damien had always been the smart type. Always sensitive to his surroundings. He had grown older and more smarter, and so having to hide anything from him was a waste of time, but at the same time, I couldn't tell him what was happening.

He was too young to have to experience such scenarios or get to hear of anything controversial, and that was why I couldn't bring myself to tell him what was happening to me.

He came closer to me, as he slowly took me by the chin, and made me look directly into his eyes. "Mother tell me, why are you crying?" He asked.

I covered my countenance with a smile, as I was trying my best to conceal my emotions.

I looked away from him as I rubbed my eyes with my palms.
