The Real Game Has Begun

Darren POV

"Miranda what's wrong?" I questioned dread slowly crawled within me.

"Darren please am at a warehouse close to the park you know the one..."

"Hey!" I heard at the other end it wasn't Miranda speaking anymore.

"Please help me, please Darren" Miranda cried eclipsed by loud footsteps then the phone went dead.

"Miranda! Miranda" I yelled gripping the phone hard it was futile the call was dead.

Quickly I called her but immediately went to voicemail I tried a few times getting the same response I felt beads of sweat form around my head.

I couldn't stay here anymore I raced out of the hospital, my heart pounding in my chest. The image of her pale face haunted my mind as I fumbled with the car keys. The adrenaline surged through my veins, urging me to move faster. She needed me, and I wasn't going to waste a second.

I sped through the city streets, barely noticing the blurs of buildings and traffic lights. The address she had given me echoed in my mind, I followed my instincts hop
