Darren's Beta made his way toward a sleek Mercedes parked just beyond the pack's borders. The car stood out against the backdrop of trees, its metallic shine catching his eye.

As he approached the car, the driver's door swung open, revealing a luxurious interior and a feminine voice that echoed through the night. "Glad you made it," the voice greeted him warmly. "What's the situation report? Any progress on our plans?"

He climbed into the passenger seat, his eyes meeting the source of the voice. He took a moment to catch his breath before responding. "Everything is in motion," he replied through the dark you could see his smile. "I'm certain they won't find a cure before the next full moon it's just a matter of time before everything falls into place."
