EDEN.
“It's already been six years since I slept on the bed. I wonder where this soft bed came from.” I yawned, stretching my limbs. My eyelids were heavy, but I slowly opened them to face the ceiling. “This isn't my room. Kiah won't let me sleep in a spacious room like this.” I thought, rolling my eyes. Since my parents passed away, I began staying in a hut–like a room away from the main building. I sleep on a mat, and I come into the main building to serve her. Her leftovers after feeding are my meals, but one thing she doesn't know is that I prepare the meal in a big quantity and then hide the remaining after serving her. I would say that it's the reason I became overweight is because I ate with greediness due to the fact Kiah wants me to starve. I fed secretly in a way that if feeding was the only benefit I would get from my family….then so be it. I accepted that I was an orphan because our parents were searching for me…but I didn't plot the accident, and the main culprit here should be Tyrion who deceived me. Still, on the bed, the scene that occurred last night on the Alpha Prince's birthday came hitting my head. “He rejected me and I smelled my second chance mate—'' I forced myself to sit up, glancing around to see that I was alone and completely naked too. “What happened last night? Where did he go? Wasn't he my mate?” I wanted to scream for misbehaving while drunk but I covered my ears. Why would I make such a mistake? That dude was here last night—I am so sure, but I didn't get to see his face so well because I was drunk. Where did he leave me? Didn't he find out as well that I'm his mate? That shouldn't be a problem. I feel like trash, being disvirgined by a stranger that I can't even recall or meet ever again. I wonder what was wrong with my wolf that she dictated him as my mate, or I wouldn't be here. Now he left without saying goodbye. He only f*cked me and then got away because he couldn't also have me as his mate right? “I would have just died with my parents than being alive to pass through all this mess.'' I shook my head pitifully. Climbing down from the bed, I took my clothes and had them on. The polytene that I came in with last night was placed on the chair, so I grabbed it and walked out of the room. “This is a resort. I was sitting in the presence of a resort where I smelled him." I heaved a big sigh, hastening my steps to get back home. Kiah would skin me alive for not being around and to prepare her meals and tidy up the house. She has been so rude and I'm used to it already. I hurried back home and changed into casual wear, then hurried into the main building to find my sister and her friends drinking in the sitting room. I hastened my steps to walk past them, but her voice made me halt. “Were you intending to pass just like that after wasting my time? I wonder where you slept last night….” She walked closer to me, having a glass of wine in her palm. “You almost disrupted my plans last night. A bulldozer like you. Why did you even attend the party when your fellow omegas were busy in the palace organizing things..?” She lifted the glass above my head, and I could see red liquid running down my body. “I am now the future Luna of the Pack, so I will finally deal with you to my taste.” Laughter echoed in the room. Her friends were making fun of me as usual. “Now, go in there and prepare something to eat, but clean up this mess first.” she dropped the glass on the floor and it shattered. I bit my lower lips and swallowed hard. My fist clenched to my cloth. “Come back here!!!” she screeched after I turned to leave. “What do you have to do?” she asked, her brows arched. “Bow to the future Luna. Prince Geralt will be here soon to pick her up, and it would be nice if he doesn't see this place as a mess.” one of her friends added, sending cold glares at me. I swirled my neck backward to look at Kiah. Being bullied is enough to get from my sister. “Until you become Luna, then I will bow to you….” I retorted and hurried out. “Eden!! You bitch!!!” she screamed, but I didn't even take a glance backward at her. I entered the kitchen and began my daily routine as usual. When I was done cleaning up the kitchen, I prepared breakfast and served them, then began cleaning up the necessary rooms. I was almost done when a car horn reverberated in the room. My sister was almost ready and her friends were waiting. The door flung open and the Alpha Prince walked in with Tyrion. Why was he here with the Prince? Was he his right-hand man? Our gaze met and I hissed. Despite my sister bullying me, my hatred for her isn't as deep as the one I had for Tyrion. He left a scar on my heart and I won't ever forgive him for that. As for the Alpha Prince, I will make sure he regrets ever rejecting me publicly that way. He would have done that secretly, but it wouldn't stop him from choosing his mate as well. I took the brush to leave when a palm pulled me backward. I turned around to see the Prince staring at my face. “You got more ugly today. What about working out? Even an Omega won't have a thing like you as a mate…” I scoffed. “It's fine if I don't have a mate—” I snapped at him and hastened my steps. When I got into the kitchen, I leaned on the wall, trying to get back my happy mood again. Even if I have the same shape as Kiah, it won't change the fact that I am a cursed demoted Beta, so it's of no use working out. All I have to do is to find my second chance mate. He will have to reject me too if he doesn't want me as well so I can move on and stop having him in my mind. I dragged the trash bag so I could dispose of it only to see Tyrion standing at the entrance. “This place isn't for visitors, and besides we shouldn't be seeing each other right…?” He dipped his palm into his pocket and took slow steps towards me. “Didn't you hear it?” “What?” my brows knitted. He smiled. “You got a scholarship and would be in college together with me, the Prince, and your sister…” The trash bag slipped off my palm. Was it true? Am I supposed to be happy? I'm very sure it wasn't the Alpha King or the Prince who would have said it aloud, then who did it? “In the same college as you?” Tyrion nodded, his lips stretched into a slight smile. “We shouldn't run into each other. I don't want to glance at you ever again. Just stay away from me, I must find out if this is true and who is behind it before believing you…'' I uttered, my mind clouded. Kiah isn't aware, or she would have talked about it earlier. I wonder who it is that took such a risk to disobey the Alpha King's command. When I entered the sitting room, the Prince and the others watched me. They must have heard Tyrion. “I don't think it's true. No one would go against the King's order…" I broke the silence in the room and hurried to leave the building with the trash bag. “It would better be a prank because my father is searching for the source of the scholarship and would likely punish you if you enter into college.” Prince Geralt stated and the others agreed to him, except Tyrion.TYRION.The camera footage was cleared. I had searched and tried to recall the face of the young lady who came into my room in the resort last night but to no avail. All I can remember is leaving a wolf bite on her body but still don't know the exact part of her body that bore that mark.It was somehow, I didn't even understand myself any longer. I was searching for the young lady I spent the night with, and at the same time secretly loving and protecting Eden, and then finally in a relationship with the woman my parents loved and wanted me to marry. To be the Alpha Prince's right-hand man as they wished, I had to have a woman who would be my Luna soon just like the Prince, and knowing that they had hated Eden from the start, there was no use mentioning her to them as the woman I wanted. My parents had told me that I had an Alpha gene and trait hidden in me, and it would cause commotion if it got known since they were Betas. At times, I wonder how I ended up being an Alpha when my par
EDEN.Standing beside the mat, I stared at the school materials that were brought to me two days ago. It's been three weeks since I graduated from high school, and today was my first day in college. I feel so ashamed despite how I longed to be in college. Each time I recall that I would be bullied there, I tend to change my mind.I won't! The anonymous person who wouldn't even let the Alpha King sort him out did enough, so I won't let the risk he or she took be in vain. I picked up my clothes and had them on. “It's my size. How did the person know the type of clothes I prefer to put on?” I giggled.Ready to leave, I stepped out of my room to see a cab waiting at the compound. The whole place was quiet, which meant that Kiah had left for school already. I walked close to the cab and peeped, a driver was seated in it.I waved my hand. “Hi!” the door glass went down. “Who are you here for? Kiah already left….”“It's you! I was paid to always pick you up before and after school.”I chuckl
TYRION.It was 11 am, yet Eden was not yet in school. I had sent Kisey to take a tour around, secretly in search of her, but he returned with no positive response. Her fellow fresheners had already taken three classes and were on break.I dialed the number that was registered on her cell phone but it was switched off. “He didn't power the cell phone or was it taken away from her?” I redialed it and it was still off. “She's supposed to be here if the driver picks her up.”“Then check on the driver as well,” Kisey suggested, so I had to put the driver on call. He picked up on the third ring. “Hello, you didn't get her here? Are you okay?”There was silence for some time before the driver spoke up. “I didn't find her when I reached there. The security had said that a cab picked her up, so I thought it was her sister's cab that picked her up as well…”My cell phone almost slipped from my palm. Was this man insane or what? “Why then didn't you report to me? She isn't here until now—what do
EDEN.A resounding slap landed on my face, taking me to the floor. I spit a mouth full of blood. It's been hours since I was brought here based on my imagination, and I've been beaten mercilessly without being told of my offence.A palm dragged me to the side and pressed me against the tree. They had tied my eyes, so I couldn't see…..and my limbs, so I wouldn't move on my own. I spitted out again, unknowingly to me, it touched one of them….followed by a heavy hit that made me almost lose my senses at that moment.“This bitch spit this f*cking blood on me….” he yelled, fizzing with energy. I could tell that he would hit me again when a feminine voice made him halt his actions. “Didn't you just see what she did to me?”“I said, enough! You can't kill her!!” came the feminine voice.Who was that? Was she here to save me? I shook my head. No one would come near them without knowing who they are. They must be buddies but are uncomfortable with the way they hit me repeatedly.“Untie the sca
EDEN.A yawn drew my lips apart. My eyes slowly opened and the first thing I saw was a white ceiling. “I was in the woods—” I closed my eyes again, then opened it after a few seconds. “How did I get here?” I sprang up from the bed.I clutched my chest with both hands, my jaw gaping. “Someone brought me here….” I began examining my body and there was no wound on my skin again. Even my broken lips were healed. “My wolf isn't this active. Who must have healed me?”The sound of the door made me turn to the door, causing me to reflect on something. Before I passed out, I was sure to have seen a masculine figure, but I didn't get to know who that was. Was he the one who brought me here? I didn't develop wings suddenly, right?A nurse walked in and halted her steps along the way. She seemed unable to contain her excitement that she dropped the tray of medications she was holding and hurried to me.“How… how….” I couldn't find the words to say any longer. She held my hands, taking a good look
TYRION.I rode my car into our compound and parked at the garage. My arms rested on the steering wheel while my head leaned on it. At least, Eden was fine, and it's a relief too that she didn't get to see me.No matter how much she detested me, hiding in a shadow while protecting her would be the best thing to do. I wouldn't want her to know that I've been the one doing all this, or she might reject it all. I have to see that she achieves her aim and lives her life without regrets—then I will also get rid of the guilt in me.I felt a liquid on the side of my lip and touched it with my finger. “Her blood!” I smiled and wiped it off. “She is my mate…..” That was the interesting part, but will I handle it? Can I control the mate bond so it won't be exposed that we are mates? If it gets out that we are mates, my parents will force me to reject her—and I don't wish to.I pulled out the car key and alighted from the car. Until I gather enough might to oppose my parents and point my finger i
EDEN.I stood at the school gate, gazing while the other students walked into the compound. They all glared at me and teased me, but I was ignorant of whatever they had in store. This college isn't made for Omegas in the Packs. Only the Alphas and Betas are admitted into the school, but here I am, standing before the school gate and pondering on why and how I became a student of such a school.‘I'm a Beta, Eden. Don't think of me as an Omega.’ my wolf interrupted my thoughts. ‘We should be in class now…’ she added and I nodded, taking slow steps towards the school gate. There are schools made for just the Gammas and Deltas. Most Omegas don't study further after high school. Some are not privileged to go through high school but I did even after I was demoted. Maybe I was given that grace since my deceased father was the Chief Beta of the Pack. The moment I stepped into the school compound, I felt goosebumps all over my body. I could see my fellow women turning me into a laughingstock.
TYRION.I sat before Kisey at the cafeteria. We had ordered a meal which will soon be served to us. Envisioning how Eden was molested and bullied by her sister just a few minutes ago still haunted me.If only I could help her and things wouldn't get out of my control—I wouldn't hesitate to bring an end to all these. The moment I step out to stand by her now, both of us will suffer it and that's not what I wish. The sound of the plates served on the table before me pulled me out of my thoughts. I raised my head to look at the waitress. “Did you send it over?” I asked him and he nodded. “Don't forget our code….”He grinned and left, then I picked up the chopping stick.“Are you sure he didn't find you in the restroom?” Kisey inquired. He had seen me hurry out of there when I noticed that Eden was searching for me with my scent. “She knows that whoever it is that saved her from the woods is her mate, and she must find him.”I licked my lips, nothing was interesting in this world when you
