As the other students were leaving the class since it was a free period, I decided to do so too. I packed up my books and locked them up on my shelf, then had the key put into my pocket.

Although I had nothing to do out there, it would still be better for me to leave to avoid further problems. I could recall staying alone in the classroom when still in high school and ended up being accused of theft.

That day, I was saved by a young junior student who attested that I was sleeping throughout her stay in our class or I would end up being expelled. Thanks to the moon goddess, the accuser found what she lost, and I promised to not stay back again when others were leaving.

The moment I got seated on the veranda, I felt a palm yank my hair so hard, causing a scream to escape my throat. Was that waiting for me to be out of the class? I stood to meet Ava standing before me. “What was that for? You can at least call my name….”
